being Vietnamese, I always have a jar of shrimp paste in the fridge. it doesnt come in a block like that though, its more of a thick paste. Could i use that and toast that instead?

Hi @thi nguyen..,no I wouldn’t toast it. You can use it as a paste. You can find Malaysian belachan at the bigger Woolworths.
