Ratchet and Clank 3 Up Your Arsenal. A game known for its insane weapons, fast paced gameplay, and of course, its scathing critiques of capitalism. However, in this challenge run mod, I will take Ratchet all the way through the game while losing more and more bolts each second. If I run out of money, I lose and go all the way back to the beginning. Can I seize the means of gameplay and make it all the way to the end? Only one way to find out...

I was watching the video on my TV and my girlfriend, who happened to walk past, watched it with me and the first thing she said is that the editing is top notch. We where both at the edge of our seats on Aridia (she never played Ratchet before and never watched a single of your video). Keep it up man! Both the editing and the story are VERY good!

Fun fact: You can kill the Final boss Biobliterator with the Splitter Rifle. Like 8 shots I think. I did it all the time as a kid when this came out.

It's actually kinda surprising that there isn't a challenge mode that takes away bolts every time you're hit, then restarts the level when you reach 0 sonic style. Another thing I'd like to see is a mode where enemies kill you in 3 to 4 hits tops, and you have to go retrieve the bolts, dark souls style.

Between the game restrictions and the editing this is super reminiscent of like crank or crank 2 where he’s just constantly on the brink of imminent death. It just adds a layer of extreme tension/suspense not really seen anywhere in else. Was pretty sick

I suppose it’s a good thing the first weapon you get is arguably the best weapon in the game for this challenge. It’s a lot easier to stomach skipping weapons due to the bolts being important to keep a stockpile when you can kill everything that isn’t the largest enemies in a single charge shot in a large radius around you. Only weapons worth considering are the ones that significantly increase your single target damage for bosses.
This feels in line with Rachet humor and lore lol

Ratchet 3 is actually fairly forgiving when it comes to bolts, Ratchet 2 on the other hand would be absolutely brutal with this mod.

16:49 So not only is the second Biobliterator that's supposed to be stronger and more fortified than the first Biobliterator able to be taken out with the Splitter Rifle, but it cam even take damage from the wrench. That's great.
