    I'm just waiting for the DA powder check, Mini Mr Bullet Feeder and the case collator then I'll be rocking and rolling too, I've cranked out a little over 1000 rounds of 9mm without them and I know for a fact I need those last three things to make this an awesome press. It's running flawlessly but I want more speed, and filling the case feeder, checking powder and manually adding bullets really slows things down. It would also be nice to not have to hunch over the press every stroke to ensure the powder level, I'm really excited for the DA powder check. The Six pack is an awesome little machine, and I just cant believe I got the thing for $380 with dies and everything, Midway rocks. Lee has it marked as $380 for the barebones press and $500 for the dies/shell plate kit.

    Thanks for showing the case bouncing around. I have a couple pro 1000's and that's an issue I've yet to fix. Unfortunate even this press has the same issue, but it appears to be pretty much identical to the 1000 case feed setup.
    Any ideas on what tweak(s) might prevent it? I'm all ears. Wondering if caliber-specific inserts for the feed assembly would help, or perhaps canting the feed tube assembly back towards the press a tiny bit to direct the cases into the slider where it would be contained? It looks like the six pack has a bit more space to play with than the pro 1000...the feed tubes are pretty close to the top of the press already.

    Which powder alarm and where to buy? Also do you recommend the mini Mr bullet? Thanks!

    I also own one of these. I replaced the lock nuts with 5/8 18 fine thin profile nylock nuts. Ill be adding thin shims between the linkage pivots so I can torque the linkage to make it smoother. Lee can send you a new priming pin in case you spill powder, when that happens the pin sticks and the shell plate stops turning. There's also a new bottom cover, you may have already received it, its to help drain spilt powder. Crimped cases or poor swegeing can make primers not seat or seat poorly. Otherwise its an awesome press. Its also pretty isn't it?

      Mine already has the updates as you have described. I’ve had a few bugs with it, bit I think I have them ironed out now and it is running great!

      @@jawsmod a new carrier is also in the works to resolve the priming issue. Lee is very good about that, they fix bugs.

    With the bullet feeder in place and upstroke, it looks like the primer tray is in contact. Any way to adjust either to prevent that? In the market and still deciding. The Six Pack is the latest and greatest from LEE it seems. I have most of the older items but no progressive as yet. Thanks.

    • @jawsmod
      @jawsmod  Год назад

      You're right it does touch in the vid. You can rotate the bullet feeder so It will not touch. I am very happy with my Lee six pack. For the price nothing can touch it.

    so if you are running one set up for pistol like yours, what other tools are needed to start reloading?
    Excluding bullet heads, primers, and powder.
    Like do you need to trim cases?
    maybe a better way to say it is, what prep work is needed before you throw everything into the progressive press and start cranking?
    i ask here because alot of the "beginner guides" either pass over stuff, or are focused on single stage presses.

    • @jawsmod
      @jawsmod  Год назад +1

      Get the Lyman reloading manual. You do not need to trim pistol brass.

    Hi - Thanks for the video. I am about to buy the Mini Mr Bullet feeder for my Lee 6 pack. I am confused on the powder funnel. Is that a separate die? What do you do with it? TIA!

    • @TheExplosiveGuy
      @TheExplosiveGuy Год назад

      The powder funnel is only used for manual powder addition with either trickled weights or powder measure cups, but the six pack has the Lee auto drum powder measure which threads into the powder funnel die, the funnel piece comes out.
