    I got my six pack all set up for the first time last night and churned out 300 rounds of 9mm powdercoated lead cast rounds, a 50/50 mix of 125gr and 150gr loads using Alliant Green Dot. The press setup was fairly straightforward, if a little finnicky, but I had it out of the box, the dies installed and depths set, the powder measure set for 4.0 grains for my first run of 125gr bullets and a 4x4 wooden bench stand built and the press installed on it in about six hours, plus another hour or so to run through all my bullets after the initial setup. I'm really looking forward to getting a bullet feeder and powder check die, that will really speed things up, having six stations is a game changer. All in all I'm quite pleased with the Lee Pro 6000, it's an awesome press and I'm stoked to get more die sets and shell plates to run different cartridges.

    Very good instructions very informative. I just got one of these and it has been a bear to set up. The factory set up was not indexing so I had to call Lee and they sent me the parts to fix it which I did. It indexes now but it is not dropping powder or priming and if that doesn't work nothing else does. I am going to tear it all down and redo all the dies all over again like you suggested and see where I end up. So far I am not amused with this press I find the materials somewhat cheap and probably won't last long and the instructions were pretty much useless for a new user to progressive presses. A lot of the information is based on you not having any difficulties.

      I’ve run the RCBS Lockout Die on my LNL-AP for 10+ years. I wasn’t familiar with the Double Alpha magnetic die until a few years ago. The DAA product is really nifty. Either one you choose, they are superior to a die that you have to watch, like the Hornady Powder Cop.

    @JerrBear Thank you for sharing this video. It is much appreciated. It was nicely presented. Im new to reloading and learning as much as I could before buying this equipment. In what station do you de-prime and add the prime? Thank you once again.

    • @JerrBearTactical
      @JerrBearTactical  Год назад +1

      Depriming would happen in station 1 along with the resizing. I don't do it this way because I wet tumble my cases. I have another press the Lee APP to Deprime all my brass. Priming is done in station 2 ... it would go like this ... case enters shell platein station 1 for depriming and resizing. Station 2 reprimes the case, flares the case and powder is dropped. Station 3 is my powder check die. Station 4 is my bullet feeder. Station 5 is my bullet seating die and station 6 is the crimp die ... round is now complete and drops into completed ammo bin. I hope this helps answer your questions 😉 ... thanks for stopping by and watching, Brother 👊🇺🇸

    How do I change calibers with this press?

    • @JerrBearTactical
      @JerrBearTactical  Год назад

      It's quite simple. 1st thing that needs to be done is you have to remove the die bushing out of station #4. 2nd, you remove the indexing rod up and out of the press. 3rd, you loosen the shell plate hold down bolt. 4th step is to thread off the shell plate ... Done. It's really quick and simple to do. If your doing a complete caliber change, you would also remove all other die bushings for that caliber and replace them with new caliber. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for stopping by and watching 👊 🇺🇸

    • @JerrBearTactical
      @JerrBearTactical  9 месяцев назад

      I need a bit more info to give you more help. Dose the black ring have teeth? If it has teeth it's a extra clutch drive ring. Or it could be the Retainer ring which installs on top of carrier, must be installed when reloading cases with a rim diameter less than .430" (11mm). • @Jim-oo7dk
    @Jim-oo7dk 5 месяцев назад

    I just don't see how this works, the flaw in the ointment is the priming step. I just went back to my turret press and am out $500 bucks or so with the associated shell plates, mounting plates and whatnot. The stupidity of the design is the primer is supposed to sit unsupported on a post and not fall off (which it does) as the plate comes around and makes things jiggle. You can't even go real slow and watch everything every step of the way (negating the purpose of a progressive) because the shell plate blocks your view as it comes around and you can't even see if a primer has fed, if its in position, or it has fallen off the stupid post.

    • @JerrBearTactical
      @JerrBearTactical  5 месяцев назад +1

      I'm really sorry to hear that you are having problems with your press. If you haven't done so, you might want to give Lee Precision a phone call their technical support is awesome, and should be able to help you resolve your issues. I have over 14,000 rounds thru my press, and the only thing I've had to replace was a few springs due to wearing them out. Good luck, and thanks for stopping by and watching 😉👍👊🇺🇸
