- Here is the exact replacement bumper cover I bought on Amazon: amzn.to/2qOncbl, part number 68088967AA.
If that one is unavailable, this one SHOULD work but be sure to crosscheck part numbers: amzn.to/2xZo0gz.
Save hundreds of dollars by replacing your Town and Country bumper / bumper cover yourself. In this video, I'll walk you through each step and show you how easy it is.
OVERVIEW:
Step-by-step instructions on replacing a front bumper cover for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. The van used in this tutorial is a 2012 Town and Country Limited model. However, since the Dodge Caravan and Volkswagen Routan are very similar to the T&C, I'd guess that these instructions would apply for those models, too.
DETAILS:
After developing a crack in the front bumper cover on our 2012 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, we decided to replace it. I considering patching it, but I just didn’t think it would be worth the time and effort for a fix that may or may not work. Especially since I spent right at $180, including the paint job, for a brand new bumper cover.

I bought mine from the seller “MBI Auto,” and the service was fantastic. However, the price has gone up since my purchase. Still worth it though.
If you look elsewhere, search for Chrysler / MOPAR OEM part number: “68088967AA,” and verify that it will work on your exact vehicle.
Thanks to the folks at the ChryslerMinivan.net forums for text instructions that served as the guide for this project. While it wasn’t an exact how-to for my situation, it was the best kickstart I could find.

The most helpful instructions from that post:
“Removal is very straight forward:
- Remove the 5 plastic push pins that fix the bottom spoiler to the bottom part of the bumper
- You now have access to the fog-light wiring which just unclips
- Remove the 3 screws on each side within the wheel arches
- remove the 2 bolts at the top of the grill (under bonnet)
- You can now pull the sides outwards just in front of the wheel arches. They are hooked into a plastic holder. Once outwards far enough that whole side will come loose
- You can now access the tubes for the headlamp washers, which is a push-fit connector on each side
- Do the same on the other side and the whole bumper will come off
- The fog-lights are held in by 2 screws and will come out easily
- I had to swap the grill and chrome strips which are pushed it. It's a bit fiddly to get them out without breaking the clips but as the old bumper was scrap anyway I removed some of the bumper plastic around the clips so it was easy to undo the trim parts. They then just push back into the new bumper.”

Good luck! Хобби
Awesome job man! Wife just had a little bump on ours and looks like a new bumper is in our future. Did one on her old Kia Sorrento, needed that refresher! Really confidence inspiring, thank you!
Thanks so much for taking the time to make such a great demonstration. I had a piece of steel fly up from a truck and punch a hole in my front bumper. Thanks to your advice, I'll be able to repair the minivan myself for less cost than my insurance deductible.
Dude... Thanks for the information! Helped me replace my bumper cover on my 15 Dodge Grand Caravan with no problem.
William Hans Awesome! You’re welcome.
Great tutorial. Thanks for putting this video together
Awesome video. Thanks Lance. I have to replace my bumper on my 2012 Caravan. Hit a deer with it. You made it look very easy. Dealer wanted WAY TOO MUCH to fix it.
Thank you so much for explaining how to remove the trim pieces, watched a few videos on replacing the bumper and in all of them the trim seems to magically just transfer over.
Great job Lance. And your wife helping was super great!
Thank you! Yeah, she's a rockstar. :)
Thanks very much for this. Excellent tutorial.
Thanks for this video it was great now I could change my headlights
Thank you SO much for posting this!! I now have the confidence to try this on my 2014 T&C! This is the best, if not only, video posted for this problem on this specific vehicle. Thank your wife for her great tips also! Great job you two!! Take care.
+Tracy Thoms That comment made my day. Thanks so much! Good luck with your van!

not sure if anyone gives a damn but if you're stoned like me atm then you can watch pretty much all of the new series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend for the last weeks =)
@Johan Joseph yup, I have been using InstaFlixxer for months myself :)

Very cool. I have this to do on my 2006 Town & Country

Ty getting ready to replace my grill
You should get some auto body pry bars, getting the bumper cover off is alot easier.
Hello sir. Thank u for the video but I checked the link on the description it says it`s not gonna fit a Chrysler town and country I'm a little confused thank u
Thank you!
Thanks guy .
How different is it to do this to a 2005 model of a chrysler ?
Thanks for your video. I have a 08 with front end plastic noise. I have tried to add screws to replace broken fasteners on the btm connection to cross frame. Also used gorilla tape on fender well joints, but still have the noise. Dealer did not acknowledge any recall or popular issue with others, but I wonder. He said to go to their body shop.
Do you have any suggestions? Have you had any noise from all the clip work you did as you now have used the new bumper for some time?
Hey Ferrall. Any chance it's the bottom shroud rattling and not the bumper cover itself? Just trying to think of something besides the obvious... which you've already worked on. I haven't had any noise in the time (nearly a year) since I put this on. Good luck!
I would really like to know how to change the grill on my sons 2008 Chrysler Sebring. Will you please post a vid on that
Wow your wife did a great job. Camera man
Thanks Joey. I married up!
Where did you purchase the bumper & did you have to paint it
Hey Ashley - I bought it on Amazon here: amzn.to/2qOncbl. I did have to paint it, but I didn't have to prime it. Good luck!
Thanks for the video! Where do you get the bumper painted and how much did it cost? Thanks Again!
space uber You’re welcome! Just had a local body shop handle it. One man operation kind of thing. $120 I think? Would have been a lot more elsewhere, and maybe better quality, but I’m happy with it.
With a wife like that who need friends 🙂
She's a gem, Donnie.
@@LanceTOsborne I'm trying to find love like that brother..... Much love and blessings
But thanks for the video, I'm debating fixing mine and telling insurance to bite me
Go for it. Saving hundreds of bucks and learning something new was worth an afternoon for me... and I'm guessing it would be for most people driving minivans!
Lance T. Osborne still put in a claim because I lost my grill both headlights radiator is bent various metal parts bent fenders pushed out a little , but I'll fix cosmetics fairly cheaply
Too bad the white doesn't match
It looks better in person, but definitely not an exact match. I'll spend a little extra next time at a more reputable shop and get it right. You live, you learn.
how much did you pay for the paint job on the bumber and how long did it take the shop to complete?
Disappointing the remounting of the bumper cover onto the van was totally skipped
Same thing as removal but in reverse. Easy.
