She was so focused on setting his son as the crown prince that he forgot a very important point.

I think she'd be likable enough if it weren't for all her scheming. She never wanted to be a part of the harem, desiring instead, to be with the Duke. Everything she does is to win him/his approval. She's very cunning, just not clever enough to keep from putting her own head on the block.
