Nesse ano 1984 eu já tava na quinta série repetindo de ano por desleixo no ano anterior e pra minha redenção fui aluno primeiro lugar tanto na quinta série como na série seguinte. Realmente os anos 80 foram inesquecíveis tanto para música nacional e internacional com músicas como esta. Quem viveu os anos 80 sentirá saudades para o resto da vida. Somos privilegiados com essa obra prima e outras.
Boy George é um exemplo claro de que quando cantor é talentoso, não há barreiras que impeçam as pessoas de se renderem a sua voz e som impecáveis, o contrário de cantores atuais que se travestem igualmente ao próprio Boy George, mas não sabem cantar e quando são criticados merecidamente, se vitimizam atrás das questões de gênero. Até hoje o talento de Boy George e do Culture Club é aclamado por diversas gerações.

Boy George's music has stood the test of time and crossed many generations - not all musicians can say that. Just now my 16 year old son came over to see what I was watching and I said that 'That's Boy George - have you heard of him?' And he replied 'Yeah! he's the karma chameleon man' ;)
Going back and watching this now, I realize how ahead of his time Boy George was really, especially the visuals in the videos & how many fabulous songs CC put out. There was so much happening musically in the 80's, but only certain things actually have stood the test of time.
We can appreciate the genuine side of 80s music by observing the scenographic care of some videos: no green screen in this case, only a lot of mastery in the realization of the set, a lot of tailoring work in the development of the clothes and stroboscopic magic in the make-up. We don't need CGI to take off our hats with a video like this.

Going back and watching this now, I realize how ahead of his time Boy George was really, especially the visuals in the videos & how many fabulous songs CC put out. There was so much happening musically in the 80's, but only certain things actually have stood the test of time.
We can appreciate the genuine side of 80s music by observing the scenographic care of some videos: no green screen in this case, only a lot of mastery in the realization of the set, a lot of tailoring work in the development of the clothes and stroboscopic magic in the make-up. We don't need CGI to take off our hats with a video like this.
