It's rather interesting Otto has a lifelink with Kallen from the past, in "Thus Spoke Apocalypse", which I assume is used as an analogy or metaphor for the fact finding a way to bring her back from the dead, was his sole reason to continue existing for 500 years, extending his time in the world of the living through Soulium body doubles, as long as it would take him to find an answer to his situation of Kallen, to bring her back from the death that he blames himself for, because it was indirectly his fault she died. In the end, Otto's only solution to undo Kallen's death, was to create another universe where her death never happened. Using Kiana to bring him closer to the Imaginary Tree by killing him, allowing him to get close enough to the Imaginary Tree, to manipulate it to "create a different outcome in the past" so that her death never happened in at least one universe. as much as I love Sirin, Otto Apocalypse is the best written villain in any form of fiction I've experienced. He uses none of the cookie-cutter villain tropes. Because of that, it feels like he's real and human, and not a character created solely for the purpose of a villain. Real life evil don't laugh maniacally as much as fictional villains, nor do they seek world domination nor worldly destruction. That's only something villains in fiction do. Otto feels so real to me, even though I know he's a fictional character, that I feel empathy for him. His reason for falling on the path of evil makes sense, and not a villain cookiecutter mold of "I'm evil for some petty reason in my past!", no, Otto's reason for evil is because he lost Kallen, the single light in the ever present darkness of his childhood, where nobody else was ever kind and compassionate to him. Not even his own family, who were a bunch of horrible people. Those reading this who want to take a jab at me for feeling empathy for such an evil person, try imagining yourself in Otto's shoes for a moment: If you were born in a family where literally everyone, were horrible people, but you found this one person, who actually was kind to you and was not seeking selfish gain by exploiting you, who you cared about more than anyone on earth, and then later in life she is sentenced to execution, but a horrible family member of yours gave you an option of causing chaos to allow her to safely escape, only for that very chaos to kill her because she gave her life to save someone being targeted by that very chaos of evil, and you blame her death on yourself because it was you who accepted letting in the chaos that in the end killed her, but then you felt there must be a way to undo her death, and you are given basically eternal life to give you time to seek that answer, what would you do? Would you accept your pain of losing her forever, your only light in the darkness? And forever bear the burden of self-guilt that it was your fault she was killed. Or would you fall on the path of evil, if it meant even a sliver of a chance to bring back to life that very light you had in the unyielding darkness of your life? Raiden Mei also had a similar situation. She was heavily oppressed by those around her. She was emotionally hurt her so bad, she was willing to jump off the roof of a building to die to escape that pain of emotional suffering. But, one girl reached out her arm to save her from the unyielding darkness that nearly took her life. Kiana Kaslana. Kiana, like what Kallen was to Otto, was the one light in the ever-suffocating darkness of her life at Chiba Academy. the two fell in love as a result. But, much later, Kiana was suffering from fatal Honkai corruption, that would kill her within a few months, with neither Schicksal nor Anti-Entropy, having an answer to save her. But then, World Serpent promised in exchange for saving Kiana's life, she'd have to join World Serpent. Of course, she accepted the deal. Because nobody else could save her glimmer of light in her life, and, in Raiden Mei's own words, a world without Kiana, means nothing to her. Raiden Mei at least had her classmates at St.Freya and her friends, to have true bonds with. And she did not forever side with evil because her moral compass was not broken. Otto didn't have that luxury, he had nobody to form strong bonds with in his childhood. And therefore, his moral compass was shattered after Kallen was killed because of a "favor" he accepted from a family member who never showed kindness to him ever. Blaming himself for what happened to her, and was willing to sacrifice anyone and anything, if it meant even a slight chance her death could be undone. Otto Apocalypse is how you write a villain CORRECTLY! A villain wrote to the point that although you can neither forgive nor justify what they did, but at the same time, feel emotional attachment and empathy for. He was the first full on villain I ever cried for the burden and tragedy he faced. My sense of justice usually does not allow me to feel emotional attachment to evil, but Otto is an exception. I know all too well the pain of grief of losing someone you care deeply about, and having the burden of blaming yourself for her death...even if you didn't kill her. This pain lingers in my heart so deeply, and I cannot bring myself to get over it...

The open world is where the love story between Yae and Kallen happens. In the main story, Yae was long dead (over 50,000 years) before Kallen was even born. As for Otto, the two had met in the Honkai crusades in the 1500’s (also Otto is over 500 because he keeps stealing bodies and overriding them with his own) and, even though she never actually reciprocated his feelings as more than friends, he dedicated his life to save her after essentially being the end cause to her death (he released the Honkai beast that killed her).

Couldn't get a chance to play honkai impact but watched the animated shorts that featured him , I know she didn't love him and he gave up trying to get her love but didn't know about this , at least he was dedicated to bring her back
@@hadiibrahim3880even playing the games, that story is beyond complicated. Going by the main story without any association with the open world, Kallen and Yae Sakura never even met.
@@bloodbrothers6556 hmmm , yes it's complicated, good thing you told me this
@@bloodbrothers6556 you're talking about SAKURA (all previous era[50000 years ago] that are counterparts in current era have their names as capital ergo dr MEI's name is like that) who is part of the flame chasers but is not in any way related to Yae Sakura who is born in the same era as kallen, otto, etc.
@@hadiibrahim3880 read the reply of the person who jus commented, its more complicated but sakura & kallen r canon.
Otto in thw coffin dawg
but he is void arch
Nope
Luocha is another Otto:V
*5th iteration
I will never trust a person with this voice
Ayato???
So, you don't believe Gaara?
Kallen kaslana is inside that coffin confirmed
Luocha is otto 💀 bro cant read
Otto is so stupid that he never mention to try going back to time and convince kallen to abroad and fake the death of kallen.
EDIT
After the whole incident, he will never trust his past self. SO he must make sure the plan goes accordingly. He had to rely on his current self, to achieve the impossible. Giving her infinite possibilities, after all who was the one trying to stop him reaching the Tree? That's right, himself.
Its happening 😂
Luocha feels like a slap in the face especially considering that he's an expy of Otto Apocalypse, arguably the one of the best written characters in HI3.
Everything that Luocha is only serves to play second fiddle for some other characters. Mihoyo is banking too much on Otto's reputation just to use it to enrich anyone but Luocha.
🤡
@@nathanael9159I'm right thought, Mihoyo literally is trying to milk Otto's reputation to set up another character. Jingliu is a prime example.
I guess they try to fuck around and find the way to make Otto be happy at least in one of their games
GGZ Otto: 🗿🍷
Man i am so tired of dealing with his ass
I know nothing about honkai, my gf wAS EXplaINING about otto and the cube that becomes that void archives guy as im watching this and im?? i want to play honkai now?? i like luocha already but wtf am i sEEING
Can anyone explain who this otto guys is. He's not welt right?
Nope
He is a "Welt PTSD".... Haha...
welt's boyfriend
a religious cult leader
the best hi3 antagonist and a big simp
in the universe of star rail maybe they can come back, after all it is a different universe and the aeon of abundance can give eternal life it can even reverse death, who knows?
It's the same Universe though, Star Rail makes it clear that Welt's homeworld is just another world like the Luofu and Jarillo-VI.
I think i know what part of the companion quest the reply is talking about, but i got confused there because he could be using world to refer as in a whole entire universe but he doesn't want to reveal it completely. He never used any examples like the luofu and belebog, if i recall correctly it was very generalized and used the word world for the most part in an explanation the same one we know from honkai but we are used to hearing the word"universe" instead of world.
@@applyinggaming9529 On the Express (I forget the exact moment), he says his home planet is not CURRENTLY on the Express' route, meaning it used to be or is going to be in the future, meaning it is on the Star Rail.
