I just set mine up yesterday. I’ve printed the cube, benchy, and the male owl. They were all flawless. So impressed so far. I want to slice my own part now and see how that goes. So happy to have this little guy!
Sam I am on my second Fokoos myself. I bought a second one. This is an awesome little printer that has tons of potential. I am excited to see the larger one that is coming out some time hopefully the first part of this year. Excellent review.
great video Sam, it was a cool 3D printer for a while, but after the breaking of the nozzle and leakage I couldn't replace the hotend very quickly. I bought the hotend for the Artillery Sidewinder X1 that di the fix.
Great Review Sam, I see legs in portability , and even have some use cases in mind. Great video and well explained differences to other machines of the same cost :)
Great review. Compared to the CR6SE do you think the direct drive is an advantage over the Bowden setup of the creality. I have the CR6SE looking for a second printer
Good question, I do like this direct drive setup it uses metal gearing with a spring, I’ve had no problems with extrusion but on the cr6 you’ll be able to print various filaments, my feeling is that basic filaments would suit this one
thanks for the review. Found your channel after placing an order last night. As I'm a total newbie to 3d printing Im hoping the model is now included on the Cura slicing drop down list or perhaps their own slicing software has been updated on the sd card they send. Can't wait to get started. A new hobby for me to tax the grey matter after previously having had a brain haemorrhage lol
Maybe its more for ease of storage rather than portability. Having an area taken up on a dining table or anywhere else with a 3D printer constantly may not be feasable for everyone.
Oh I see, well let’s put it like this.. allow the printer to work within its means, if the z has to travel 9mm from one edge to another and you’ve not bothered to level the bed at all you’ll be asking for deviations in the print, you might have skew or the calibration might be out. I’ll give you an example I had a print on a CR 30 which is a belt printer. The calibration was out and when I printed something very large it was out in the end by about 10 mm which is okay if you’re printing, swords and cosplay, but if you’re using this for mechanical applications you’re asking for trouble.
So of a 15 minute review, the first 6 minutes has NOTHING to do with the actual review of the item. I only hope you do not waste 40% of your entire life like this. Another British git wasting my time. BUT the actual review was consice and had some excellent points not covered by other reviewers. All in all my review of the review was 3 1/2 "stars". I took off about 40% for time wasted.

Great review, thanks mate. Looking into the Fokoos as my first 3D printer, been on the fence for months lol.
Thank you for your insight. Keep up the good work.
Great review buddy! I enjoyed the printer for the little time I had it. Seems like the person that won mine, is really enjoying the Fokoos 👍

@@TheRealSamPrentice Thanks for answering. Going to investigate. Sounds like a good option for me.
Hey Sam, what happened with the FLSun giveaway? Did I miss it?
Hey Duncan I got covid and things went up in the air! I’m working on restarting it tho :)
@@TheRealSamPrentice hope you're feeling better!
@@duncanchivers8949 Im much better now, thank you :)

It’s only for setup according to Fokoos
@@TheRealSamPrentice I'm totally new to all this and this looks the best for a novice
Perhaps a speedup of that fold test? 😴
lol :)
Fokoos is a nice 3d printer.
Agreed
@2:09 🤔 Doesn't make sense to me, that's the whole point of ABL
What’s the question?

Why are you so mad? Didn’t get enough hugs as a kid or something ?
