I think we can really learn a lot from Lee Kuan Yew. Humility is definitely a virtue. Arrogance and pride are downfalls to any person or nation. I learn a lot from these interviews... not just the politics but how one should carry themselves to be heard, in any challenging situations. These are tough questions that Charlie Rose asked and I think LKY answered them very well.

Thank you for uploading these 6 clips. I'm just learning about LKY, his love for his land and its prosperity is an inspiration. The institutionalized corruption in my birthplace, Goa India, is inking deals with transnational crime syndicates from South East Asian countries, through unregulated legal casinos 😢

"To bring democracy , to change the nature of society is not easy …" Well said MM LKY.

I was very amused by how Charlie Rose needed a validation from LKY every 10 mins about American 'power'. He must be more unsure about this than he thinks

A statesman comparable to Deng Xiaoping in terms of intelligence and shrewedness.

great interview, very educational. it seemed that rose was mad that lky questioned america's patience at the end- hence the abrupt close? ...

Friedman and Sowell are not political leaders, they are(were) professors in universities. Big difference.

Lee Kuan Yew does not fuck around and gets things done unlike milton friedman or thomas sowell who justsitting behind a table, theorizing and complaining.

The old bastard didn't burn any bridges but you can see he wasn't saying what he actually thinks' he was very careful not to tread on toes and kept all his doors open.

@pathmanp1 I'm English so won't have anything to do with the election. I just happen to work in Singapore at the moment. If you had a sensible reason for saying what you did then you'd have been better off making it clear the first time, rather than making myself and everyone else think you're an idiot. If you make a comment as reprehensible as your original one, without explaining yourself, you're bound to receive personal insults.
