Thank you for your compliment. I try my best to give you the best videos that I can, being a big fan of the series I want to show my passion through the quality I'm able to produce
Bold statement. I like where your heart is, but the rest of our lives is a bit oversighted. We'll at least see another sidescroller if SR hits 3 million. And Prime 4 needs to do well to continue.
I liked it how you used Am2r's "Initial Descent" song I really appreciate that you use am2r even though it's not an Nintedo title you still use as an example! Also great job for 400 subs and be prepared for 500!
While AM2R is not an official game, I can't deny I am a big fan of the game, and its overall a better take on Metroid 2 soundtrack (compared to the original) so makes it better on the ears for videos. And I think its a great example to prove how much fans are passionate about the series and understand its formula to make a game that feels like an official one. Also (by the time of me writing this) I didn't have the chance to be prepared for 500 since it jumped to 600 subscribers, truly appreciate the support.
am2r is not the real remake lol It is great dont get me wrong and the soundtrack is amazing, but samus returns looks fantastic. It is being published and developed in part by nintendo so it is the real remake. I love the graphics of the old 2d metroids like fusion zero and super too, but I have always imagined what a 2.5d side scrolling metroid would be like and this one looks very impressive.
Everyone who won't buy this game out of defiance for the DMCA take down, the game was trying to light a spark in good classic Metroid games. And it worked! We got two new Metroid games announced at this E3 and if Samus Returns does well, we'll expect more 2D Metroid games. Hell, they might finally make a sequel to Fusion, and I'm not the only fan who really wants that.
+Derp Person I agree, if anything we should be glad we got what we wanted (or at least some of us) and try to show our support to the series we are all so passionate about.
Glad to hear you enjoy the videos! and well that was a quick one! (by the time of writing this) its getting closer to 700 subs and it makes me see my videos are entertaining so many more people.
Metroid Returns is the first Metroid game i've ever played, and its so Good! It has all my favorite elements combined from Mario, Zelda, and Mega Man. I would seriously say it's one of the best 3ds games ever. I HIGHLY recommend it
Happy to hear! stay tuned for more videos regarding the new games in the future (as we get more information about them) and other topics regarding the series
Some spoiler trick: Upon had played the trilogy, MFusion, MotherM and AM2R, I didnt expect them to use spiderball+mega bomb as a morph ball speed booster
Ray Luna well deserved. i wonder if hes open for collaborations. i knew one metroid fan/youtuber in particular that would be awesome to talk about metroid.
Yeah kinda made my video outdated already. I really owe it to all of you for the dedicated support to my videos, I am more than happy to see people enjoying my videos. Rest assured more Metroid related videos are on the way, and If any of you would like to talk to me, feel free to let me know over Twitter
i wasnt talking about myself lol. i should have said im subscribed to another channel thats a metroid fan. but yea i wont force it if it happens it happens.
Thank you, I want to give it my all in making my videos, regardless of how big or small my channel may be, I take pride in my work. If you like what you see, please consider sharing my videos/channels the extra exposure would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for watching
I just realise that your name is the same as one of the Pirate Firgates that escaped Zebes. What ws it again: "The Orpheon managed to dock on an outpost and sucesfully transferred MEtroids." Or something.
You guessed right! The channel's name is an intentional homage to Frigate Orpheon from Prime 1, strangely enough one of my favorite locals from the series. I do remember reading something like that, but I would have to double check with the scan logs.
Sir, for someone just entering youtube, your videos are immensely clean in editing and you have confidence that shines through. I really hope you keep gaining more subs!
Thank you for the compliment, I always had the mentality that I should give it my all when it comes to making videos, regardless of how long I have been in the medium. I wanted that when I look back at my work, I could feel some pride (especially if people enjoyed my content) especially with a subject I know many people are as passionate about as I am.
Thank you for commenting, your words are of great support and morale boost to me. If you enjoyed what you see, please considering sharing my videos/channel the extra exposure would be greatly appreciated in helping the channel grow.
Hey man, looks like your channel blew up with this video! You were celebrating 400 subs at the end, and now you already have over 850! I saw your video from the "related videos" sidebar and I'm glad I clicked. Really great art and video editing! Definitely subscribed, looking forward to more videos!
Thank you for the support, and yes I guess my channel did have a mayor boost from this video. I'm very happy to hear people are being entertained by my videos. Just trying to give Metroid the love it deserves
Pre-ordered the game for a while now, sadly was too late to get the limited edition, that one was basicly sold out in an hour or 2 and I missed the opportunity. But today I also ordered the 3DS XL Metroid edition, that thing is just a beauty I couldn't resist. So happy Metroid is getting a good return... Will have to get a Switch for Prime 4 though...
I am excited about this game because Sakamoto seems to be back into his game. Which that makes me very happy, cause I really liked what he brought to the series. Everyone always claimed that he is not the Metroid guy cause he was not on the development team.. (at the time he was too busy making the excellent Super Metroid) I really hope it is amazing game and it will hold its own in the modern realm.
Thank you, it means a lot. If you enjoy my videos, please consider sharing my videos/channel, the help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for watching
And let's not forget the Metroid (SO SQUISHY) and Samus amiibos. Those things are definitely worth picking up. While I am a bit disappointed that us here in North America aren't getting the same special edition as Europe, I'm at least happy that: A. we're getting a new Metroid game (thankfully) and B. it helps save me money as I have enough financial issues to deal with such as university tuition. Samus Returns is currently my most hyped up game that's still coming out this year since Zelda already came out. Otherwise, keep doing what you're doing. Can't wait to see what you do with your channel in the future.
You are right, its a good thing we are not tempted with the Legacy Edition, but knowing myself, I will probably import it for my collection. I think Samus Returns is my most hyped game for 2017, period (obvious reasons) I will try to make videos on the new games as more info is given and videos on the series as usual. Perhaps some animations or subscriber specials on the way.
Just subbed! Great video edits and content, your voice is not at all annoying lol and the lil metroid chibi characters are as cute as they are badass haha. Will be looking forward to see more vids when sam returns is released and when the GLORIOUS prime 4 makes new announcements!
Thank you, I am happy to hear my videos are to your liking and that you enjoy the chibis. I will try my best to make videos regarding the new games when they come out. If you enjoy my content, please consider sharing my channel/videos, the help/exposure would be greatly appreciated
Holy shit I think I just found an amazing channel, where have you been all this time? Not in my sub feed that's not where you were, but we can change that ;)
If you want to help the channel grow, please consider sharing the channel or videos. The additional exposure would be greatly appreciated, thanks for watching/commenting
Thank you for the support and the compliment! Very happy to hear you enjoy my videos. If you have any suggestions for video topics, feel free in letting me know, and if you enjoyed what you see, please consider sharing the channel, the additional exposure would are greatly appreciated. Thanks for watching and commenting
The Orpheon I absolutely will, with pleasure! And actually, now that you mention it, I kinda have an idea for a video that I know I myself would be interested in watching: Nintendo has been changing up their game recently with Zelda turning into a whole different experience in BotW, and with taking Mario back to the SM64/Sunshine -style (and actually, far earlier though, Kid Icarus, with Uprising); how do you think they could improve or revamp Metroid? Or shouldn't they at all? Would it fit in an Breath of the Wild -esque setting (although probably partially underground)? Should include manual interplanetary travel à la No Mans Sky (but good)? If you think it sounds like an interesting topic, I'd love to hear your thoughts on that! But regardless if you want that or not; always do what YOU want with your content, because you definitely have a touch of that magic that makes it really interesting to listen to your thoughts. Looking forward to seeing your channel grow :D
I've not finished Super or Fusion yet but I really liked Zero Mission and after I got used to the way it feels I liked Metroid 2 a lot as well so I'm really excited to see it getting the Zero Mission treatment. And those new Amiibo look really good.
Its such a big deal because Metroid 2 has deserved a remake for years, Zero Mission was a beautiful remaking of the original Metroid and Metroid 2 deserved the same. Now its great that Nintendo have gone one further and not just remade Metroid 2 in 2D graphics, but they've gone for a full 3D ide-scrolling, its great news. Cant wait to get it next week.
Hey man! I'm loving your content and channel so far! Great video! You definitely deserve more subs and views. Keep up the great Metroid/gaming content! :)
Thank you for your kind words and support! I am very pleased to hear people are enjoying my content. I will continue to make videos to help Metroid get a bigger audience and bring fellow fans content for them to enjoy.
Wow, so you reached 400 subs by the beginning of June and now have over 2000? Kudos! Can you share any hint? Cool video by the way, and I'm hyped as you are about this "new" Metroid. Was thinking to play AM2R before getting to it in September!
Glad to see you enjoyed my video, with the recent news I can't hold my excitement for Samus Returns! As for the Hint, I really can't say I did something on purpose, I just got lucky. I wanted to make a video based around why Samus Returns is something people should get excited (since Prime 4 kinda took the spotlight) and I made sure the quality was nice so people had a pleasant viewing experience. My two cents is that you should make every video as polish to the best of you abilities, since you never know what will the video that might strike a chord with people.
So glad I found this channel! Subbed. But I got a couple questions for ya 1. what is the other Metroidvania game you show besides Guacamelee and Shantae? 2. As much as I love the Metroid U, I've only played a few games, including just Prime 1 and not Prime 2-3. But I'm eager to dive into Samus Returns ASAP. Should I just watch the cutscene vids for Prime 2-3? Would I miss anything story-wise or part of the nuanced world? Would just the various summary videos be enough? I have the games myself but am not sure I'll complete them in the next month w/ the other games currently on my plate. >_> Thanks for this awesome and unique channel! I really do admire and respect ppl who are dedicated and passionate about a single franchise's lore and background. Especially when that franchise is infrequent yet still rich in history and lore. Metroid, or otherwise!
Thank you for the support, I hope you enjoy the rest of my content. As for the questions you asked. 1 - The game is called Axiom Verge. It is available in various platforms 2 - I don't think Samus Returns will dwell on anything related to the Prime Trilogy (in terms for your o full understand and appreciate the new game's story) If anything, it might be worth playing is Metroid Zero Mission, since Samus Returns is a sequel to it (and the game is rather short) With that said, I highly recommend playing Prime 2 - 3 to fully experience all of its subtle storytelling. Watching playthroughs or summaries will give you the gist of the game's plot (Samus's Mission) but you will miss out on all the little details and intricacies that tell you the real story of the worlds you visit. I made a video on it regarding Metroid Prime 2, in case you were curious. Lastly wanted to say thanks for the compliment and words of encouragement, they really make all the difference. thanks for watching/commenting
Bah, I should've guessed Axiom Verge! I actually own it lol, but have yet to even boot it up. And ok, interesting suggestion b/c I thought the Prime Trilogy was after Zero Mission? I have played the first Metroid, as recently as just a couple years or so ago, if that counts (since Zero Mission is a remake. Speaking of remakes, Metroid 2 is the only Metroid I don't own, hence why I'm hyped for Samus Returns). I do agree about the subtle nuances and intricacies in the storytelling in the Prime series. One of the things I enjoyed so much about Prime1. I think regardless, I was going to play Prime2-3 eventually since I have them. Was curious how urgent I should treat it before playing Samus Returns.
Damn, I get to the end of the video just over a month after you made it and you're thanking people for 400 subs. Here I sit and see 2700! Moving on up my dude. Have one more!
+Fukou da thank you, it really means a lot, I am just very happy to see people enjoying my content. If you enjoy my videos, please consider sharing my channel, the extra support is greatly appreciated. Thanks for watching and commenting
I got into Metroid sometime this Spring, and I'm _very_ excited. Prime 4 makes me want a Switch even more than I already wanted one. I now have another reason to try to get a Switch, on top of Odyssey.
Thank you for the compliment! If you enjoy what you see, please consider sharing the channel/videos, the extra exposure would are greatly appreciated. It's been less than a year since I started uploading videos, so perhaps it might help explain the sub count? Regardless I'm happy to se people enjoying my videos
Was that Star Force music in the background? On topic, yeah, I too see this as an almost bigger deal than Prime 4. I've wanted a return to the Fusion and Zero Mission formula for so long.
I hope they have some sort of a cameo of the X fleeing in the background. Or the X fleeing from a Metroid about to eat it, as Samus enters the room, the Metroid turns it's attention towards her thus making Samus not even focus on the X at all, to later foreshadow the events of Fusion in a simple "nod" fashion.
I never stopped to think about that! You are right that would the the coolest nod to fans with Fusion! or perhaps even having a small segment in the game (or a boss) that turns out to actually be an X, only for it to be eaten by a Metroid and later Samus kills it. A small foreshadow of the events in Fusion (My idea might not fit the best way, but I think it might by cool to see)
Thank you, the support means a lot. If you enjoy my content, please consider sharing my videos/channel the extra exposure would come of great help. Thanks and I hope you enjoy my future videos
Okay, yeah, everything you mentioned is mostly the reason why Samus Returns is big news, but something grossly important was left out. I'm of course talking about AM2R. At this point, my mind is blown that we're going to get an actual remake out of Nintendo one year after the completion of AM2R. Come mid September, not only are we going to have Metroid 2 in the style of Zero Mission's presentation, but we'll also have the 3-D rendered side-scrolling experience I have been dreaming about for the longest time. It almost feels like an apology from Nintendo for shutting down DrM64's project, even when it was likely a huge coincidence, but nonetheless, I feel like the circle is complete. To quote DrM64 from his Twitter account, the name "Another Metroid 2 Remake" now makes even more sense than before. Having this all come together in my head upon watching the Samus Returns trailer blew my mind out of this galaxy. Also, one small thing: doesn't this game look like the game we never got, something unrelated to Metroid 2? Rememer the last time we had a Metroid drought, back when the Nintendo 64 had no Metroid title? Personally, to me, Samus Returns looks like that game, because the graphics do resemble what can be expected from an N64. All these things together have left me with an excitement I have never felt before for a video game.
I did not go over AM2R because I feel that my opinions are good enough to make it a separate video, but I am happy that even though AM2R was shut down, Nintendo is giving us their take on an outdated classic. And now that you mention it, it does look something similar to the prototype stuff for N64 Metroid, perhaps it was used as an inspiration for the look of this game. Personally i'm happy to see that 2D Metroid is rendered in 3D and that aded depth of the scenery gives an extra layer of immersion to make SR-388 feel alive and deadly
Thanks for you support, please consider sharing my content if you like my work, the extra exposure would be greatly appreciated. thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy my future work
I'm digging that MMBN5DS background music. Lol. I'm so excited for Prime 4. I told myself I would buy a Switch if Nintendo made a Metroid game for it. All I gotta do now is wait for a restock, or perhaps Nintendo could bless us with a special Metroid edition Switch of the sort, which would buy in an instant. Also, I loved playing Zero Mission, so I'm definitely picking up Samus Returns on day one.
Lotsa Bad Luck Or get portable Super Metroid. Or A Link Between Worlds. Or Mario 3d Land. Or Xenoblade Chronicles 3d. Or- I've just realised how many amazing games are on the 3ds.
To be honest, even with a new F-Zero the 3DS wouldn't surpass the legacy of the GBA, as pretty much the best Nintendo franchise would still be absent - Advance Wars.
I think the Space Pirates and their involvement in the Prime Trilogy would be an interesting topic to cover. Unlike other games where they're depicted as a hive mind under the control of Mother Brain/Ridley, the Prime games gave the Pirates autonomy, the intellect of their science division, and their thirst for power. What if Sylux is hired by the Space Pirates in Prime 4, like Samus is by the Federation time and time again?
I didn't ever see or consider the pirates as a hive mind, more Mother Brain with the Metroids. The pirates just followed MB's command because she was able to control the Metroids and use them as a threat, but I do see what you mean. I think it would be even more interesting if Sylux instead tried to fight the Space Pirates so they don't destroy Samus or the Feds before him, that way we get like a 3-way battle between the Feds/Pirates/Sylux and Samus jumps in to help, it be something new for the series, since the pirates have already teamed up with Dark Samus before?
Metroid II is still my favorite Metroid game. So I am very hyped. But that being said, there's still plenty of ways they could mess up this game. I'm usually all for a remake changing and adding new things. But for Metroid II, this can be a very risky thing. What if the spider ball can't crawl on all walls and is only limited to metal paths, like in Metroid Prime? What if the beam weapons stack now, won't that make the game way easier? And what of this Other M style physical and reactionary attacks? Now just to be clear, I'm not skipping the game. I'm buying it day one, if for no other reason than to support the series with a sale and signal that I want more Metroid. But I'm just saying, I haven't been more hyped and worried at the same time for a game since Dragon Quest IX. Also, I don't want to nitpick, but games like Shantae are more similar to Zelda 2 than a Metroid game. Which by the way, Zelda 2 needs a remake more than any Metroid game. Maybe if Samus Returns sells enough, Nintendo might consider it.
+maxis2k if I may clear one of your doubts. The trailers indicate that the Spider Ball does seem to work on every surface like in the original game from seeing the trailers (since the walls samus was climbing had no special surface) As for my comparison with Shantae, you are right, i was referring more to how some of the game's power ups feel Metroid inspired, as well as the backtrack/endings on clear time and percentage
Glad to hear you enjoy the music, there are few things we know about Metroid Prime 4, that I plan to mention a little bit of in my next video. Stay tuned
Anyone else notice how Samus wears different armors throughout the footage, like does this mean we unlock different armors that we can play in, or does she just upgrade her suit during the story, I'm leaning to my first guess
Hey, could you do a regular series on all the different Metroid enemies? Your Ridley video is amazing (fave Nintendo character) and I'd love more videos in that style, it's also how I found your channel, which has already risen to my top 5 in less than a day. Overall I just would love to see more videos from you, your channel is amazing and I haven't seen many Metroid channels before, shame because I love this franchise. Anywho, hope your channel continues to grow!
I am very pleased to hear you enjoyed the Ridley video (probably the one I had most fun making so far) and I do have planned for the 'Who is' to become a mini series, to go over more Metroid enemies and allies! I feel honored that my channel as become to your top 5, and I hope you enjoy the other videos I have planned for the future
Actually its the Menu Theme from Mario Kart 64. However it does sound like Custom Robo (maybe I should look for the soundtrack to use in the videos, would love a sequel)
I had to think for a second, but we actually got a more recent custom robo than f-zero. If i recall, the most recent fzero was on the Gamecube, whereas the most recent custom robo was on the ds
I cannot wait. I waited so long and I didn't lose hope. I played every METROID game possible, but didn't played METROID II: The return of Samus. Since METROID: Samus Returns will be available on Sep 15, then I won't miss much since it's basically a remaster of the second installment. I envy those Europeans.
Thanks, happy to know you enjoyed my video. If you like my content, please consider sharing with your friends, the extra exposure would be greatly appreciated
Ok this is unrelated, how do you read off a script without sounding like your reading one? I've been trying to do this for a certain video but I can't seem to get it out without sounding like I'm looking a script.
Well I guess its a matter of practice? I usually write my scripts as things I would say normally so it flows like it were normal speech when I read, also I leave notes on the type of voice I want to have (be it whisper/serious/excited/etc)
Sometimes when I'm working on my errands/daily chores, I like to 'talk to myself' about the video, as if I were saying it to you guys (or recording) this helps get me comfortable with what I am going to say, therefore it flows naturally when I go through the script (little tricks I learned from voice acting)
I feel like Samus Returns may be the most important game for the franchise since Metroid Prime... MSR like Metroid Prime and Fusion is a big chance to revitalise the series from it's drought...also being a remake it's going to bring new life to an old classic, and one of the most pivotal moments in Metroid's history... This game also marks a new direction for the series since it not only brings Samus back on a 2D plain but also looks to improve upon the established formula... Metroid Prime 4 is the game we wanted, Metroid Samus Returns is the game we needed...
I completely agree, I think a new 2D game is what we needed to remind us of how good a remake can be outside of just updating an old game, and seeing the return of the series that started a whole genre of games
THIS VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS ALL MY FEELINGS PERFECTLY. NOW WE HAVE A 2.5D METROID ON THE 3DS, WHICH FOR ME IS TRULY A DREAM COME TRUE. NOW ALL I NEED TO BE SUPREMELY HAPPY WITH MY 3DS IS AN F-ZERO FOR IT. METROID AND F-ZERO FOR MY 3DS AND I WILL BE THE HAPPIEST 3DS OWNER IN THE WORLD. A REAL TIME STRATEGY GAME FOR MY 3DS WOULD MAKE ME EVEN HAPPIER BUT I ASSUME IS TO MUCH TO ASK FOR... GREAT VIDEO BY THE WAY. THE BEST VIDEO ABOUT THE TOPIC SO FAR. GREAT WORK. LONG LIVE METROID!!!
I wish we could get an FZero for the 3DS, Fusion and GP Legend are probably the two games I spend most of my time playing, and seeing something like it on the 3DS would make it my new favorite console ever. Thank you for the compliment with my video, I always try to give you the best viewing experience from a Metroid fan's perspective.
Okay, I have a theory, that it seems NO ONE is talking about. The new amiibo are very interesting, don't you think? Especially that baby metroid, the one breaking out of its glass canister.... wait a minute..that didn't happen in Metroid II. That didn't happen until Metroid 3 (Super Metroid). I think that this game will have either a DLC of a remade Super Metroid, or it will have an extended section, somewhat akin to what Zero Mission did on the GBA. Why else would they design that amiibo that particular way? The image has almost nothing to do with Metroid II, but it SCREAMS of Super Metroid. What do you all think?

It's because they have modesty on their side. Channels that gain fame often go the MatPat route and act egotistical and holier-than-thou about it.
Then they get big and become shit.
Then you repeat the process of finding another good small channel.
RUclips screws over good content and favors soulless and spammy long videos.
dont say that, if it gets popular than it will be BAD
Those are some of the cuteest Metroid character art I've ever seen!! omg
Glad to hear they are to your liking

why the hell would I want an enhanced port of a game that debuted in 1991?
thats like saying why the hell would i need to buy each call of duty because it offers something new and different for each game doofus
It won't sell that many. Game doesn't look that great. Metroid II: Samus Returns for GB was a great game.

Everyone who won't buy this game out of defiance for the DMCA take down, the game was trying to light a spark in good classic Metroid games. And it worked!
I do remember reading something like that, but I would have to double check with the scan logs.
gotta love that he uses AM2R music
Its a great soundtrack to a great game
I'm buying it.
Me too
OMG the next remake could be Super Metroid, the 3rd installment... how awesome could that be
Sir, for someone just entering youtube, your videos are immensely clean in editing and you have confidence that shines through.
Well done video. And I love 2D metroid's can't wait for this two come out
Hey man, looks like your channel blew up with this video!
4:16 what is this game?
Its Axiom Verge
I just beat this game on fusion mode, it was amazing
(at the time he was too busy making the excellent Super Metroid)
I really hope it is amazing game and it will hold its own in the modern realm.
I see you, using that AM2R music while talking about Metroid 2. |3
Indeed, big of AM2R and its soundtrack. An intentional joke/pun? Its better than using some of the original music
Quite true. Metroid 2 and its music haven't exactly... aged well.
Subscribed! Great work and video quality. Thanks dude!
Thank you, it means a lot. If you enjoy my videos, please consider sharing my videos/channel, the help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for watching
Don't think you can sneak that Mario Tennis music past me.
Happy to see someone else recognizes the music
Love the art style you use for the characters.
Glad to hear!
+DynamitePenguins glad to hear you are enjoying the drawings
Not in my sub feed that's not where you were, but we can change that ;)
Thank you for your consideration and support, means a lot to me. I hope you enjoy the rest of my content and you look forward to future videos.
If you want to help the channel grow, please consider sharing the channel or videos. The additional exposure would be greatly appreciated, thanks for watching/commenting
The Orpheon yea dude sure, I'll show this to a couple friends, the more the merrier
I just stumbled into this channel and I gotta tell you, you have some GREAT content!
From here on our, you have a new subscriber!
The Orpheon
I absolutely will, with pleasure!
And actually, now that you mention it, I kinda have an idea for a video that I know I myself would be interested in watching:
Nintendo has been changing up their game recently with Zelda turning into a whole different experience in BotW, and with taking Mario back to the SM64/Sunshine -style (and actually, far earlier though, Kid Icarus, with Uprising); how do you think they could improve or revamp Metroid? Or shouldn't they at all? Would it fit in an Breath of the Wild -esque setting (although probably partially underground)? Should include manual interplanetary travel à la No Mans Sky (but good)?
If you think it sounds like an interesting topic, I'd love to hear your thoughts on that!
But regardless if you want that or not; always do what YOU want with your content, because you definitely have a touch of that magic that makes it really interesting to listen to your thoughts.
Looking forward to seeing your channel grow :D
"While there may not be a sequel to Fusion"...
Me in 2021: Oh, if only he knew!
I'm subbed since your last video, I'm really glad to see you're getting more subs, I'm sure you'll get a lot more because you really deserve it :)
Thank you for the compliment! I think a subscriber special is in order, the least I can do in return for the support (besides making more videos)
Good stuff
If you liked what you see, please consider sharing my channel/videos, the extra exposure is greatly appreciated
look how much this channel has grown since last year from 400 subs to 17k thanks for all the amazing content!
What's the background theme from? Starts around 1:25
The song is titled "Seek a Cord" - Meagan Battle Network 5 (DS Version)
400 subs
screw that man you're on 600 congrats
Yeah that was quite the unexpected rise! Thank you for the outstanding support, really makes all the difference
My two cents is that you should make every video as polish to the best of you abilities, since you never know what will the video that might strike a chord with people.
this is a great video very nice style and editing
1:29
3:35
4:00 songs?
1:29 - 'Seek a Cord' - Megaman BattleNetwork 5 (DS)
3:35 - Mario Kart 64 Menu theme
4:00 - 'Battle Start!' - Megaman BattleNetwork 5 (DS)
noticed a typo: you showed the release time between the last two 2D metroid games being from 2004 to 2013...
*Ahem*
Prime 4: Beyond is real
*Leaves*
So glad I found this channel! Subbed. But I got a couple questions for ya
1. what is the other Metroidvania game you show besides Guacamelee and Shantae?
Thanks for this awesome and unique channel!
It is available in various platforms
2 - I don't think Samus Returns will dwell on anything related to the Prime Trilogy (in terms for your o full understand and appreciate the new game's story) If anything, it might be worth playing is Metroid Zero Mission, since Samus Returns is a sequel to it (and the game is rather short)
With that said, I highly recommend playing Prime 2 - 3 to fully experience all of its subtle storytelling.
My first Metroid game was Metroid 2 and my second was Samus returns
Why do you not have more subscribers? This is amazing content.
Thank you for the compliment! If you enjoy what you see, please consider sharing the channel/videos, the extra exposure would are greatly appreciated. It's been less than a year since I started uploading videos, so perhaps it might help explain the sub count? Regardless I'm happy to se people enjoying my videos
2:19 Nice inclusion of AM2R music.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it
Was that Star Force music in the background? On topic, yeah, I too see this as an almost bigger deal than Prime 4. I've wanted a return to the Fusion and Zero Mission formula for so long.
Yes it was, big fan of the Star Force/Battle Network series. I can't wait to see what extra things the might have added in Samus Returns
A small foreshadow of the events in Fusion (My idea might not fit the best way, but I think it might by cool to see)
I feel like I recognize the music at the start :/ ...anyone know what it is?
Its the Nintendo Wii U's eShop theme, perhaps that why its familiar
Awesome content really enjoyed that. Just subbed
What is the song at 0:56?
"Tournament 1st match" - Mario Tennis (N64)
Awesome video! Definitely subbed!
That's it! I'm getting a 3DS!
Remember there is a new Samus themed 3DS
I got the New Nintendo 3DS XL today! Now, I gotta wait for the coming Metroid 3DS. I guess I play Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon until then.
Lotsa Bad Luck
Or get portable Super Metroid.
Let's not forget Mother
The trailers indicate that the Spider Ball does seem to work on every surface like in the original game from seeing the trailers (since the walls samus was climbing had no special surface)
As for my comparison with Shantae, you are right, i was referring more to how some of the game's power ups feel Metroid inspired, as well as the backtrack/endings on clear time and percentage
Awesome vid and awesome background music!!
I am more excited with Samus Returns than the prime 4. I really dont know what to expect with the prine series since te developers are different.
Glad to hear you enjoy the music, there are few things we know about Metroid Prime 4, that I plan to mention a little bit of in my next video. Stay tuned
What is the name of the game at 4:15?
That is Guacamelee, it is available in a variety of consoles
i never played metroid 2 because i just have a year of being a fan of metroid so im SUPER exited about playing it and you made me get even more hyped
Happy to hear I got you excited for the new game. Its been something I have been waiting for a long time now, and I very optimistic for its outcome
how does the Megaman Star Force music always catch me off guard
2:30 did u use AM2R music here?
+Marcelo Pinheiro yes I did, I have used the soundtrack on some of my videos
If there is another topic/character you would be interested in seeing in a video, let me know and I will see if I can write a script around it
Since I got into Metroid (about a year ago) this game was a big factor in me becoming a 3ds owner.
Oooo I heard that Starforce music
Big fan of the series
Also heard some battle network music. BN5 if I’m not mistaken. Some really good series. Ah memories...
Damit Can't wait til 15th to olay this Super exited for this metroid
Is the music you use around 340~ from custom robo?
Actually its the Menu Theme from Mario Kart 64. However it does sound like Custom Robo (maybe I should look for the soundtrack to use in the videos, would love a sequel)
I think we need to start #operationcustomroboswitch
I would be on board with that..... and a new FZero
I had to think for a second, but we actually got a more recent custom robo than f-zero. If i recall, the most recent fzero was on the Gamecube, whereas the most recent custom robo was on the ds
What is the song at the beginning??
Wii U eShop Channel
whats the name of the song at the end?
"In the room" - Megaman Battle Network 5 DS
I cannot wait. I waited so long and I didn't lose hope. I played every METROID game possible, but didn't played METROID II: The return of Samus. Since METROID: Samus Returns will be available on Sep 15, then I won't miss much since it's basically a remaster of the second installment. I envy those Europeans.
Hey orpheon have you seen the samus returns new 3ds?
Yes I have, and I intend in getting one alongside the games! (I think its very good looking)
Samus Returns is avallaible now!
Loved the video! You talk in a way I get.. Subscribed!
Thanks, happy to know you enjoyed my video. If you like my content, please consider sharing with your friends, the extra exposure would be greatly appreciated
the song at the end sounds very... capcom... where is that song from?
Its from Mega Man Battle Network 5 DS
The Orpheon thanks for the advice, I'll try that.
Thank you for the compliment with my video, I always try to give you the best viewing experience from a Metroid fan's perspective.
whats the song at the ending?
If its the song while the credits are playing, that song is known as
"In the Room" - Mega man Battle Network 5 (DS Version)
thanks
1:22 HYPE DOOD
0:10"I'm so jealous of you Europe"
Well they also got the gamecube playerselects cover for prime 1 (insert vomiting noise)
Metroid is back BOI
Sadly i still have yet to pick up the game, but I never thought about it in this perspective. Good video!
that am2r shoutout tho XD the game was like DONT FORGET ABOUT ME! IM A GREAT GAME TOO!!!
+Jason G its a good possibility that the new amiibos unlock special story sections. It was hinted that they would have a very special ability.
I've got both the amiibo and the game pre-ordered. Cannot wait!
Two years later still no news about metroid prime 4
Can't wait for this game. You got yourself a new sub bro
Thank you for your support, and I hope you look forwards to my other videos
