      Yes, the "normal" midi cables are 5pin to 5pin midi, but the principles are exactly the same. Any questions let me know!✌️

    Hey Bruno! thank you so much for your videos and music!... may I ask you something? Im trying to get in sync a TR-08 with a S1 via Midi cable... I can start/stop both machines, but definitely not able to get them in tempo. there´s something else I should configure?. Thank you so much in advance!

    • @BrunoLuisGarcia

      Hi, in the video at 2:14 it's explain but maybe is to fast, sorry!
      Go to the "Menu" and set the "Sync" parameter to "Auto" or to "Midi" on the slave machine (the one that will follow the tempo of the other, "midi in".
      My advise is to set it on both machines to "Auto". This way they will follow the internal tempo but when a cable is connected to the "midi in port" or to the "sync in port" it will automatically follow the tempo of the other machine. No need to go in to the menu every time to change it.
      Hope you can solve it, if not let me know.✌️

      @@BrunoLuisGarcia hmmm nope it´s not working... I´ve wired both machines as you say, I´ve set both machines to "auto", and both machines are playing a sixteen steps pattern, with only one kick in the first step. But they meet (in the first kick) only every 4 loops. No matter if the S1 or the TR-08 is the master... always the S1 is faster than the TR. That´s why I was thinking there should be any other thing to configure... anyway thank you so much for your time!

      That's strange! Is the cable good? Try another cable (Stereo).
      You can also check on the T8 in the Menu the "r.SCL" parameter set it to 16.

    Hiya. Question, and don't know if anyone else might know, but can you divide the incoming midi clock to the s1, so that it can play in half time for instance against the main sequencer? Seems like a basic feature that just doesn't exist. Looks like it might, with sync clock, bit this doesn't seem to do anything?

    • @BrunoLuisGarcia
      @BrunoLuisGarcia  Месяц назад +1

      Hi, I will check it and let it know.
      I think it's possible.

    • @jugs0101
      @jugs0101 Месяц назад

      @@BrunoLuisGarcia Thanks, just double checked ChatGPT, and it's an emphatic no! Which is odd. I think every synth like this I've owned has had some capability to slow the clock down. Shame.

    • @BrunoLuisGarcia
      @BrunoLuisGarcia  Месяц назад +1

      No it is possible!
      Hi I check it and it's possible if the the main sequencer or one in the chain has a "Sync out" connection. You plug the midi cable "in" and if you set it to the same channel as the one sequencer in the chain it will play the notes of the external sequencer.
      To make it play half of the time you plug the one cable from the "Sync out" port from the main sequencer or out of one sequencer in the chain and plug it to the "Sync in" on the S1.
      To play half of the time you go to the menu on the S1 and change the "S.clk" to the double of the number from the main sequencer. If it says "4" on the S1 you change it to "8".
      In this way there are to cable connected the "midi" and the "sync" the S1 will start and stop when the main sequencer does it and it will play notes, if in the same midi channel , of the sequencer you choose the main or another.
      If you don't need to play the notes from another sequencer you just need the "sync" cable but it will not start and stop with the main sequencer you will have to do it manually.
      I don't know if I made it clear but you might check this video where I try to explain the "sync" port.
