    On the video is the Roland S1 Synthesizer and the Roland T8 Drum Machine as an example but the principles applies to any Synth and Drum Machine that have a Sync port.
    The other way to Sync is via the Midi Port that you be able to see on a future video.
    Sync Port is NOT the same as Midi Port the kind of information that flows are different via the Sync Port only Tempo pulses will be transmitted and received. Via Midi Port tempo, notes and program change will also be send and received.

    “S.clk” is kinda like the PPQN of each device. Think “Sync CLocK pulses per beat” as the menu says.
    That being said, you don’t have to religiously set them to match; you can set up some funky polyrhythms with a judicious tweak of these values. Remember the cornerstone of music: “if it sounds good, it is good.”

      Hi, thank you for the information!
      Yes, of course you can set it up for funky polyrhytms.😄
      In the video I just wanted to clarify if after everything is connected and it does not sound in time, can be that in the menu this setting is not set "properly".
      I couldn't agree more with you:" if it sounds good, it's good!"👌

    What’s the benefits of using the midi ports to sync?

      Hi, I will make also a video about Sync via Midi.
      In the description of this video is more info about it.
      Via midi both or all the machines (Slaves) will Start playing at the same time when you press Play in the Master so Synchronization is easier, but some times you don't want that everything starts at the same time.
      Via Midi the are other benefits beyond Sync, other data will also be transmitted like Notes and Program Changes. So you can have several machines playing the same notes of the master, and also change patterns in all machines just by changing it on the master.

      @@BrunoLuisGarcia great description Bruno thanks. I have the s1, t8 and j6. I would love to know how I can get the s1 to follow the same chords or notes as the j6 using the midi ports? Thank you

    How do I record on a computer?

    • @BrunoLuisGarcia
      @BrunoLuisGarcia  12 дней назад

      Sorry can't help you with that. I never did it or try it. But I think if plug it via USB to a computer it will show it in you DAW.
      You can always take the audio from the Out port from the machines and plug it in to a audio interface to record on the computer like you do with vocals or any other instruments (guitars, bass, etc).✌️
