Greetings from Spain. Romania is one of the most beautiful and authentic countries in Europe. I have many good friends from Romania since there is a large Romanian community here in Spain. The only thing is that many Romanians do not see the value and the beauty that many other foreigners see in their country. They prefer to leave for other lands and abandon their country because they think the grass is always greener somewhere else (like Spain for example) when in reality the Grass is much greener in Romania. They should invest in the future of their country or else it will never grow to it's full potential if everyone just keeps leaving. Romania is like the Cinderella of Europe, absolutely Spectacular but surprisingly underappreciated.

Well,not all the Romanians are leaving their country and some of those who are leaving they are planning to come back . I work in London as a nurse for 5 years now and ,I’m 27 and I know I miss my country every single day I’m there . I will come back to my country very soon !! ❤ gracias hombre
People leave the country because of corruption and human rights abuse .it's much more complicated than you think
I would say that some Romanians that left are starting to see how special their country is. Romania also did get much better. We left in 1996 and my mom just returned for retirement in Romania. We own real estate in the country and i will probably retire there as well. Since i only visit once a year i really see how the country is changing for the better. When we left it was common to see street kids huffing paint fumes, stray dogs everywhere, mean nasty people that never smile, dust and dirt everywhere, bad roads and overall depressing environment. Now it is a very civilized, clean country with more modern thinking people that are slowly leaving behind the crutches of communism. I am pleasantly surprised

Because I was driving a little too fast here, the vehicle lost control when I was in the corner, and my car crashed into the ravine. During the two days of dealing with this matter, the people here warmly helped me without asking for compensation. , I really feel the kindness and simplicity of the people in the northern mountainous areas. I will come again in mid-October next year to thank those who have helped me!

All the wooden churches are there because Austria and Hungary, which ruled that territory in the past, forbade Romanians to have stone churches like all of Europe. So, in order to keep the faith alive, the Romanians bypassed the rule and built wooden churches.

De undeva a prins, că S din Maramureș este un ș... Iar dacă ai avea o ureche versată, Breb pronunță Brep, pt că în cehă (sub influența limbii germane), consoanele sonore la final se pronunță surd: b > p, d > t, g > c

Musím Tě zklamat, ale pouze Maramureš jsi vyslovovala dobře a snad to, že u Casa Colț jsi vyslovila C jako K a ne jako C česky. Jinak Colț se čte Kolc (psáno česky). ă a â v názvu Săpânța se těžko vysvětlují písemně, ale rumunsky určitě nezní Sapanta. ă můžeš vyslovovat jako indefinte article like in a book. Máte pěkné filmy, a hlavně nemáte předsudky , kterými trpí 70% české populace.... Tak šťastné cestování dále.

Great video! But you missed one ICONIC thing about Maramures: the folk music, which is utterly original! Basically one guy plays a guitar with only two strings on it that you don't even need to make chords on (you just move one finger up and down the frets), and he strums like ONE chord for an entire minute, then changes it to another chord for 15 seconds, then goes back to the first chord. It's the most punk rock thing I've ever seen. And yet it is paired with one of the most rigorously skilled fiddle playing styles ever invented! And then maybe the guy with a guitar, or some third party of any gender, will join in and sing or shout. It really is utterly unique and quite a treat. And it only comes from Maramures.
