I didn't pay attention to who was playing at all (listening to these as I work on other things), and I haven't seen too many of his runs, but as soon as I heard "cute stuff" I knew it was Romscout. :D
Oh, so this is a handheld game. I guess that excuses that it looks 'like that' to some extent. Still, this is probably the worst Castlevania I've seen graphically; nothing scary or eerie; not well polished; backgrounds too clean and lifeless; some innovative enemies here and there, but nothing to write home about (IMO).
I really enjoyed this Castlevania game and still have! It’s a great game to me and, maybe it isn’t too creepy but I would say try it out because the story is great and connects to Julius Belmont. It’s just an opinion but I agree with the other comment, try the game yourself before judging from a speed run
This is a great Castlevania game & personally my favorite. It's not perfect. I'll admit. But I mostly had an blast with this game & I still think it's a amazing game.
This one is as good as every metroidvania produced by IGA since SotN, but personally I'm not too fond of it. I think it's too shiny, and I don't really like the too-animeish art style for the characters, which was also used in DoS. Just compare this style vs AoS or OoE styles... the difference is shocking. But at the end, this is a "to each their own" matter.
Yeah it doesn't look great, though I still enjoy the game a ton. One of my faves is aria of sorrow graphically. A big bias towards 2d sprites but I think they handled the backgrounds very well
All this time I thought the "Partner Jump" was an intended mechanic...
Underated game over here
Agreed. It's also my personal favorite Castlevania game in general.
@@jjc4924 i just cured the sisters, this games ok but it's no sorrow or rondo that's for sure.

i don't know who drac's manicurist is, but he needs to get his money back.
Ironic that this game has a boat load of glitches, while Order of Ecelesia barely has any.
Thomas Alvarenga Totally. xD
I honestly think Ecclesia is superior
The best metroidvania CV
Early-game Holy Claymore is the best thing ever.
It's pretty good against Dracula, by the way next is Dracula. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Portrait of ruined
The castlevania palyer always hates the common ways
