Never before had I ever even CONSIDERED that PoR could be completed glitchless in under an hour; it has always just seemed like such a long game to me. I saw that video title on my home page and I was like "No way can this guy complete PoR in under an hour, that's insane!" This was amazing to watch!
Thinking about a magician sliding all over Dracula's castle yelling every second "JONATHAN!" is hilarious, great run, always a pleasure to see castlevania content

I haven't gotten to this portion of the video yet but I unintentionally found a potentially interesting strat for kermet. If you have Charlotte attack from the right side of the pot, you can hit from behind on the left platforms with Jonathan and Charlotte will be the only one at risk of taking any damage so you can just him for free. Admittedly, I did use the axe melee weapon for the double hits, which is prolly not RTA viable, but thought it was worth mentioning Edit: Wow, that strat actually looks much faster. Surprised I didn't think of doing that
Very nice! You did it! Is it troublesome to try and get a level up before dullahan? 9/6 damage seems like it would be a lot faster than 8/5, as long as you're forced to chip away. Are there any plans for an All-Quests / Den of Evil glitchless run? That would be neat.
@@JupiterClimb Yay! Watching further. I note that while the long spear isn't great on Legion, it's Wonderful on Stella. It does about 50 damage to the shuriken's 22x4, but she won't ever teleport dodge the spear so you can get your dps much higher, and you don't have to spend tonics and menu time and gold. There's a tonic in the clown level before legion that's about 1 second to snag, about halfway up. You could save gold by buying 8 tonics and grabbing the 9th there, cutting out the gold-selling item you least like in the route.
A flying sword run might be pretty amazing to watch. It is a fantastic weapon, although it is a drop from a monster in the most precarious places. Anyway, it is a ranged melee weapon that does multi hit. And I think you could have sent out multiple at a time?
5:05 "Potential incentive, if this game was to get into GDQ would be English VS JPN voices." I think this would be pretty cool. Personally I like the JPN voices better, and it makes watching speedruns a lot less dull, especially TASes. I like the punchy "Charotto! Jona-san!" as opposed to the plain old "Charlotte! Jonathan!" No offense to the English voice actors, they did great, but I think the JPN VAs had a lot more emotion in the way they acted.

I think Portrait of Ruin glitchless can be a fun category and it doesn't take much longer than no out of bounds.
its hard to explain how impressive it is for you to still get back dash cancels after getting the upper cut, your muscle memory is very good
