The Space Marine inside that Dreadnought must have been a terror when he was whole. Guy was ready to fight Magnus when he heard about battling the Thousand Sons.
The dreadnaught is probably my favorite part of the campaign. He beats down a hell brute, stomps out a warp portal, and casts down a hell drakes like it’s an annoying pigeon!!!
Funniest thing about this game is the Tech Priest who falls off the ladder whilst working on the Thunderhawk. I hope when they add updates, we get more Barge details, maybe even a Powerwashing Simulator easter-egg haha.
@@xS1D3SW1P3x Yup, You'll also see a couple of them as the campaign around the Barge, you also meet up with another Dreadnaught in the PVE mission, I think you meet the same one twice in that PVE mission.
ngl I was kinda expecting the 2 AdMechs to have a conversation about asking the venerable dreadnought about something akin to a WiFi password but are kinda reluctact to ask because it would be rude to wake up a dreadnought just to ask it for a wifi password lol 🤣🤣🤣

its cooler than that. That dread is being fixed after the first mission, its implied its empty, and you can find a tech priest after the sargent dies in an ambush that askes for his remains to be used to pilot it.

In know no fear ancient Telemecharis is complaining that his name was Telamach and he is younger than brothers the call him ancient. As for time fairly sure in the ventris novel a dying techmarine gets in an empty one during a battle and the new model ones are actually designed to change pilots quickly. That and with warp travel between worlds and between missions it isn't the same day he is activated. Real question is why that name is already on the hull (presuming they didn't remove it from the model)
to be fair, doing the story without returning to the barge manually never shows you this. you can access the armory before the Demerium mission, which means that dreadnaught isnt there before you start it. I dont even know how you would find this.
Probably an unpopular opinion but, i really like the old style of dreadnoughts, they look more unique to me. Not that i dislike the new primaris dreadnought. I just like the old ones more
Might just be nostalgia talking, I would bet good money that if the Primaris dreadnoughts were the OG design and then were replaced with the Boxnought then people would be saying the opposite
It sucks that this dreadnought probably had its pilot replaced at some point because this model burns it user alive overtime due to being so powerful and if the original is still alive that fate is coming.
I might have a theory. Remember the random Sargent that worked with chiron? He may not be dead,but infact,that same exact dreadnought,as some of the tech priests are talking about putting that Sargent in a dreadnought. But of course,this is probably wrong.
I just hate how the new Dreadnoughts burn out their users like AA batteries. They really need a short story or something of an Ad Mech finding an SCT or something that will fix that problem. OH Dreads could last for 1000s of years and still fight.
That's Eastern Europe (dev team is in St.Petersburg, I was surprised to find out a lot of Russians were making this game. Check whatever Cadian stuff is around, you'll see a lot of Russian military gear there) gamedev for ya. It's either jank or full of details. Or both, like in Metro2033, KCD1, etc. Depends on budget, really. Jank is mostly caused by EXTREMELY low budget.
the game is wonderfully detailed in almost everything it does... beautiful game, bit like candy in that respect but you get the grindy PVE modes, which I hope they expand massively and short but fun PVP mode.
I've got a fan faction called the Ordo Symbiot. I would like to imagine one of them speaking to the interred brother. "Is the painkiller drip at an appropriate level, honored elder?" "Blessings upon the machine and operator both." "Uploading recording to the noosphere. To work on such a relic, and for such a servant of the Omnissiah, is a marvel to be shared and remembered."
I saw an earlier version where a space marine is talking to tech priest about the Dread that wasn't awoken for 50 years and the coffin was not installed in the chassis.
@@gentlemanbronco3246 Because Valtus is being placed inside of a Redemptor Dreadnought, unlike older variants of Dreadnoughts and because Cawl is a massive D bag, Redemptor Dreadnought do not preserve the occupant but instead put them under a lot of strain, to the point they primaris can be referred to from that point on as batteries. So unlike older Dreadnought where the occupants can survive until destroyed or for thousands of years until madess takes them, primaris die after a few years maybe 5 if they're lucky. So yeah, Redemptors are a massive downgrade.
It really wasn't that short. Look up playthroughs for incredible games like halo 1. It's only about 5 hours. I much prefer short and fantastic than drawn out garbage

I love how the Techpriest's gantry has ornate archways on it. Truly, nothing is safe from Gothic architecture in the Imperium.
It's practical as well. Arch supports weight very well and that techpriest probably weights like 500 pounds.

As far as i know that takes some time to make someone compatible with a dreadnaught. And also the Sergeants name was Varellus and not Valtus.

I think I like the Redemptor Dreadnought alright. But the Ballistus Dreadnoughts look a little too tall and it made me yearn for the boxnauts!
