      El Dorado, Charger, Toronado, Thunderbird, Skylark, Cordoba, Mark, Sebring, Regal, Cougar, Cutlass supreme, Riviera...and on and on...
      Somehow a huge percentage of cars were coupes or 2-door sedans. How is it possible there is not a single grown up version of these cars for sale today? Mustangs and Camaros are fun to look at but I want a grown up car, a 2 door with some class. And please not another boring crossover

      My dad bought his first new car in 1967-a Buick Wildcat. He drove that beautiful beast for 23 years, and put over 300K miles on it...never had any serious engine/transmission work...two sets of U-joints were the only repairs, other than routine maintenance. That huge vehicle had a 430ci V8, 360hp. It moved down the road very quickly! Got 12-16mpg...and nobody cared about mpg back then, when gas was like 35 cents a gallon! There was a period of time--from the early 1960s, thru the very early 1970s, when American vehicles were simply the finest, reliable, and good-looking cars in the world!

    Was Buick afraid to show the entire car, you can't even get a good look at the car, they only show close ups and the front end. I guess it's a tease, to get you to come down to the dealer and actually see what it looks like.

    • @ricksand6477

      Remember, that thing is 19 feet long! If they pulled back that far the people washing the car would be too small to see. HA! Back when Buicks and all American cars were sold by the foot & by the pound! 😬

      @OsbornTramain  2 года назад +2

      I don't think so. a sleeper is usually a very plain car that you'd expect to be a 4 or 6 cylinder...there's nothing about a "Wildcat" that projects "sleeper"
