When an enemy has an army at your doorstep repeatedly stating they are going to destroy you...and your country is not large enough for your army to fall back and regroup if you make an error.., the only choice is not to risk making that error. Eskel was a weak leader for a country that can never afford to have a weak leader. Nassars ego .. Arab ego.. is and always will be the doom of the Arab countries. It was his fault the Arabs fault for their lust to destroy Israel. Israel will always give you peace if you want it. After so many terrible lessons.. including the present disastrous lesson in Gaza and Lebanon, you might think the lesson would be learned.
I continue to be impressed by the quality of the documentaries on Slice. The Middle Eat is such a difficult area. I have no clue how to solve the problems there. It was sad there was no way to avoid this conflict, or everything that has happened since.
Palestinians did not want to live at peace with Israel and wanted to annihilate Israel but they lost the war. Istead of grabbing the land of Israelis, they lost their own land. Greed cost their defeat. Until now they are homeless. They were given freedom and rule themselves but were enslaved by Hamas and Hezbollah. Crying of slavery by Israel but in reality, they were slaves by Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah.
RIP To the 776-983 Israeli soldiers, 9,800-15,000 Egyptian (UAR) soldiers, 1,000-2,500 Syrian soldiers, 696-700 Jordanian soldiers, 20 Israeli civilians, 15 UN peacekeepers, 34 US Navy men, marines, and personnel, and 17 Soviet marines who were killed in the Six-Day War
The Soviets, and specifically Brezhnev, saw the region not as a Religious and Land conflict between Arabs and the Jews, but as part of the power dynamic between the West and Pro-Colonialist against the Soviets and the Anti-Colonialist struggle. The Soviets "warned" Nasser but were shocked when the war broke-out, as it was not their intention to create an armed struggle, and then they were caught in the difficult position of being asked for more materials from Nasser when the war went against Egypt. The fact of the matter is that the Egyptian Military looked good on paper, and in a parade, but they were in a poor position to fight, they had deep issues with nepotism and corruption, poor command decisions and structure, poor training, poor Command & Control, and poor Motivation.
And when the Egyptian army was defeated - they had the gall to complain to Russia for not supplying them enough munitions and not giving them the 'best' military equipment. That has always been a trait of arab armies - poorly trained fighters who do not accept any responsibility for the outcome of their actions.
The only war started by Egypt and Syria was October 73 to liberate their occupied land, Israel attacked Egypt with England and France in 1956, attacked Lebanon in 1982, and attacked Syria, Jordan, and Egypt in 1967.

As soon as you mentioned that israel is historical palastine I stopped watching the documentary and will rather stick to authentic fact based documentaries. There was never a state called palastine 👍
Yes, this channel passes of propaganda as a documentary to give it an air of legitimacy. Just watch their earlier video on the 6 day war and you can immediately see an anti-israel bias in their story telling: they portrayed the israelis as colonizer-occupiers and they portrayed the arabs who got displaced as a result of the war as victims of illegal occupation (fact is the aggressor countries - Egypt, Syria and Jordan - lost land because they lost a war they started).
Laying low need not mean stepping down, we use them to go up and down, if no wants to read the reality and love to disfigure things, put books back in its place and find human values😊
I love the documentaries by this channel, but the amount of ads is getting out of hand. I becomes hard to watch bc theres so many interruptions. I know they need to make money but is this really necessary?
It is an extremely informative & incredible documentary about previous times before sex-day wars at 1967 blazed .....thankfully for sharing this magnificent documentary
I'm never tired of looking at these videos.
Just a small correction Jews are not settlers in Judea. They are indigenous
Correct, it is the arabs that settled the area afrer they conquered it from Rome, who had conquered it from the Jews

I will watch more from this channel. Very well done, no bias.

16 minutes in, this is a fantastic documentary
Best documentary I have watched on the six day war
Finally, a documentary that shows both sides.

I have watched this great History Documentary over and Over.
Admiring Israel in this war events of 1967.

They both died from broken heart. Again it could have been avoided. If they worked together, they could have strong hearts 💕
Pride goes before destruction! History repeats itself!
Moral of the story; don't fudge with another just 'cos he appears smaller.
Great stuff. Subscribed.
All wars were started by Arabs. After they were defeated they played victims. Israel returned the Sinin peninsula to Egypt for Peace.
Because that belongs to arab

Kids don't watch these, and adults do not need blurred pictures or footage.

It’s fruitless to fight against the Real God.
What a cruel twisit of fate for PM ESHCOL to stumble during his televised speech...precisely at the moment it could not be afforded to happen.
2nd part?
A false vision, coupled with a bullshit lie, ultimately led to a disastrous defeat.
