Nice video, I believe I've seen something on that company that you've mentioned Richard. They may be making alternatives for our favorite pass times. I think I watched a video of a transmission swap on Dodge Coronet. Stay tuned. We'll see 😊
Think he showed putting one together several years ago. Been watching him for many years. If anyone is too lazy to go back that far, they would be too lazy to work on an auto trans.
All the pumps had the sleeve from 77 on. And the direct drum has to have a bronze bushing, if the pump doesn't have the sleeve you use the normal white bushing.
I have a question, and it maybe a dumb one... Can use a "different case" for a transmission? Say a car vs a truck, or perhaps even one from a different manufacturer that may be a similar design to one that you are rebuilding? Or does it need to be the exact same? I have watched many if your episodes, and this to be a regualr enough occurence? Obviously I am not a mechanic and may be challenged even changing my own oil... please dont laugh, I repair patients. Thank you for anotjer wonderful video, sending much love, prayers, ear scratches and belly rubs.🙏💜
@@mayhemsmaster5050 I would never laugh, but I always like to keep the original unit with the vehicle or if I do have to replace it. Try to get one close to the month and manufacturing date makes it so much easier.
@@ollyalme im not going back through a million videos to see one rebuild or why. I have followed this channel (maybe not this one but one of the other ones) for many years. still never seen one. But i do remember when they wanted us to pay them to see them.
@@TriforceOfCourage97 A million videos? You come about as a lazy guy that like to complain. Or maybe you're a competitor. Or you know one. Or you're just plain envious, what do I know ;) He explained (on this channel) that the main purpose of this channel is to educate on how these things works, not trying to explain all possible types of problems and ways to fix them. I haven't seen all videos but it took me 2 minutes to find a build video, and since you're the type of guy that likes to complain instead doing the work, here is what I found: ruclips.net/video/4WcVpH0kdn0/видео.htmlsi=zX099-W549ffkBp0

Nice job on the golf cart
Yes, the low gear/2nd gear option is a must. That's why I prefer the C4 & C6. Taking off in 2nd is also sometimes necessary.
I personally like the case saver. Honestly, if that was my square body, I'd have you building a 200-4R for it. Lower low plus overdrive.
Great content as always!
I've always called it a kick-down cable

From Santa Cruz California, I love these episodes and try not to miss any.
Please keep them coming

@richardteresacricheducatio3542 Thank you. It makes sense to want to match it as closely as possible, but I wasn't sure.🙏💜
Back in the day the factory on some put an arm with weight to prevent vibes.
Richard if you cut off the bell and put a heavy bell housing will it stop the 350 from breaking the case or will they break anyway behind the bell?
@@davidreed6070 no it would eliminate the problem
@richardteresacricheducatio3542 thank you, im using one that has had enough done to it, breaking the case is the only thing im worried about.
hi Richard and Teresa, hope you are well, last i was here you were dealing with shoulder issue (i believe). -Dino

at this point I dont think he knows how to do a rebuild. Never seen him put one back together.
Haha, you also never saw people walking on the moon with your own eyes, right?
Richard talked about why in a previous video.

@@TriforceOfCourage97 You may want to go back two or three videos from this one. Mr. Richard explains quite thoroughly as to why.
