this was the spookiest shit back in the day. The idea that some unknown, unseen, untouchable force -probably the dungeon itself- wanted you gone if you loitered too long terrified me
@@poketronex It's exclusive to Explorers, where dungeons like the Dark Future and Azurill's Dream use the earthquake variant, which is by far the creepiest one, helped by their spooky atmosphere.
When I first saw this I thought it was a warning like a secret legendary was approaching because I had the guidebook where it'll say that certain legendaries can spawn in some dungeons. Though it was in Explorers of Time and Darkness
When I first got the message I was got really scared, I knew from playing another dungeon crawler that something impossible to beat will spawn to speed you up.
Omggg, yeah it first happened to me when I was trying to reach Articuno inRed Rescue Team!! It was really terrifying and I thought it was Articuno himself trying to prevent me from getting further lmfao
@@Fluffy___ The first time that I encounter something like this was in the endgame playing as unlevel Kyogre through Articuno forest, I got lost on a floor that the wind carried me away xD
I tried this playing as Wailord, thinking that being the biggest and heaviest meant he wasn't going anywhere. I was wrong. Also, PMD RTDX made this experience a hint scarier.
I can’t remember which dungeon, but I remember that I got that same text. It was creepy as hell, but my curiosity got the best of me, and I defiantly stayed there. The next thing I knew, I got kicked out of the dungeon.
In other words, it's a heat seeking player tornado. We can't see it because the camera can't rotate. And it's too powerful (EF0) that it doesn't need to enter the map.
We might finally have an answer to this soon! In the trailer with the Sword/Shield legendaries, the wind blew the leaves around and they got ready for an unseen threat. It might just be an unannounced third legendary!
It means if you stay for 999 turns, you'll die, because the DS doesn't like that. It'd probably devolve into lag and glitches if you reached turn 2000, so they stop you before you open a new integer.

Small detail, in underground dungeons it's not a wind, but a earthquake animation.
OOOO. i knew abt small changes in dungeons, like in the snowy dungeons the particles are different, but now i wanna see the earthquake for myself
Is it also like that for explorers of sky?
@@gumdrop8780 yeah it is!
Only in Explorers. And it's not limited to just underground dungeons. Places like the Dark Future and Azurill's Dream use the earthquake.

That's why you don't stay in a Mystery Dungeon for too long, nice anti-farming measure
So... every game should have a timer then?
When I first saw this I thought it was a warning like a secret legendary was approaching because I had the guidebook where it'll say that certain legendaries can spawn in some dungeons. Though it was in Explorers of Time and Darkness
when i first encountered it, i was in the frosty forest for articuno, so i thought it was articuno dshfhsdfhsdhfds
I thought it was Tornadus despite Tornadus still not even existing in that game💀
When I first got the message I was got really scared, I knew from playing another dungeon crawler that something impossible to beat will spawn to speed you up.
I though it was Suicune so I stayed on the floor with a newly recruited Feebas. Course I fainted shortly after and lost the Feebas
I remember my first experience of that in Explorers of Sky. I was like, "What the heck just happened???"
Yeah same, I’m replaying it now and I was struggling to find this Pokémon for a mission and I got this message and I was wondering what it was
This still causes me to get stressed whenever I see it in my game, despite knowing it’s not anything coming to kill me
When this first happened to me in PMD: EOS I got so scared I was like OMG and came to this video

If there's something stirrin
In your neighborhood
Who you gonna call?
Dungeonbusters!
This disturbs the crap out of me!
Same 😭
I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING
Love those games
This was such a nuisance in the cave where you find Deoxys. I was searching forever for the mirage, and I could never find it.
you should've used the glasses that allow you to see where pokemon are in a dungeon
This happened to me in Thunderwave Cave. I was trying to recruit a Poochyena when the text showed up. I ignored it then I died.
How long did it take to recruit a poochyena? 1/5 usually want to join my team.
@@skuller5553 idk... I guess I have shit luck.
I always experienced this in the training dojo since I mostly used it for farming items. Never knew it also happened in the dungeons
I haven't played Explorers of Sky in 8 years and this still gives me anxiety.
I think that's rescue team
That is similar to the Reaper in Persona 3, it's a little trick to not let people "afk farming"
Till now I still get scared
I tried this playing as Wailord, thinking that being the biggest and heaviest meant he wasn't going anywhere.

I'm playing DX rn and I have not once encountered this lmao. Am I just too quick for the dungeon?

Only one explanation......Arceus.
my first encounter was in PMD red rescue team on an emulator (because why not)
that actually just send a whole wave of spookiness through my body
Dusknoir? Is that you?
Kinda scary when you think about it ngl

It was freaky, but I save-scrummed to figure out what would happen. Still freaky.
Is it an internal clock or is it a turn cap?
...actually it’s most likely a turn cap, considering some of the...later...dungeons
In almost all dungeons, a floor has the 1000 turn cap
First time this happened to me was in the Frosty Forest, I was a preteen and I thought Articuno was mad at me lmao
