Greatest video ever. As a Tamil Brahmin who has been vegetarian for life, I consider eggs as a vegetarian source. I am also a triathlete so I have eggs everyday for my protein needs. Simply put, it is the greatest vegetarian source of protein,
Egg doesn't come from a plant source. So, it's not vegetarian. More precisely speaking, there is nothing like 'vegetarian' or 'non vegetarian' at all. There is only vegan and non vegan. Anyway, egg is not that. It's simply not vegan. And going by what and how you say it, it's not vegetarian. Even ethically, egg can't be considered vegan. Hens develop severe arthritis from repeatedly laying eggs if they are unfertilized. It is almost as cruel as the dairy industry. 🌺 🌿

Mahatma Gandhi has written in his book On Vegetarianism... Drinking milk and eating eggs are same. If you drink milk and consider yourself as Vegetarian.. You can eat egg and can call yourself a vegetarian....
There's a fundamental difference between eating eggs and drinking milk. A hen lays a lot of eggs, more than 10 usually before it broods because all of them wouldn't make it to a chick, other animals and birds would steal it. Humans as well. But the milk is produced is exclusively for the calf, no other animal drink it after they grow up. So drinking milk is unnatural and eating eggs is very natural.

(182) GREAT upload, Mr. Krish!!! I got into an argument (back in the early '80s) when some vegetarian freak was giving me hell about eating eggs. I PATIENTLY explained that the eggs from the supermarket were inert (no JALSI, no chick). Therefore, it was the same as using milk and milk products. He was actually grateful; opened up a whole new world of possible vegetarian dishes. Goes to show SOME kooks are teachable. 😉
That's ok it's unfertilised egg. What is worrying is the kind of conditions in which chickens are caged. One above the other, some legs broken..... I know food is ones choice but while plants cannot feel or don't have any nervous tissue feeling pain, these animals could be evidently seen in pain, whether it's while butchering or forcefully made to give egg...or in case of dairy. Unfortunately our gluttony triumphs over it. 🤦🤦🤦 If protein is the issue why not protein tablets of spirulina, cheap and best source. But then I realise that it's not that all people deliberately do this infact it's like habituated trend, not evility

Each egg contains 250mg cholesterol and permitted intake is only 300 mg per day. You can only have 4-5 eggs per week to prevent adverse effects :) hence 2-4 eggs can still be risky.
A video as wholesome as the egg. Pure science, no fluff. The natural adaptation where eggs design is concerned was the most 'WOW' moment of the video. Loved it every bit❤
Much needed video; I once failed to convince my jain friend that the eggs sold in market were not fertilized n hence, technically "vegetarian "; but of course, we know what place science and reason have this country.
It does have good space it's just that these religious practices are coming from years and many by their adult age loose interest in eating eggs too so nothing to complain
What is the problem with some people, let those who do not eat anything for any reason live in peace. What do you (not you but those who do) gain by poking them and making cheap and cliched remarks. (Ye kya mangayega, Paneer aur kya. Ghaas phuss me kya rakha hai. Kabhi Chicken kha ke dekho. ) Nahi khana bhai, khush hain log apne choices se.
I think your comment about the place of science and reason in India is unwarranted. You want to eat, you eat. Maybe learn some respect for other folks’ choices. Also changing your dietary choices is not as simple as turning on a switch. Ever tried a diet?? Then you would know how difficult it is and oh btw there is a lot of science behind it.

Wonderful video. Enjoyed every bit of it (while eating an egg 😄). As far as free range eggs go, the main reason u pay more is for the way the chooks are treated. Cage eggs come from chooks whose beak tips are cut off when they r young to prevent them from killing other chicks squeezed in the cage. Free range chickens don't have to undergo this as they r free to roam which also increases the production costs due to large land areas required. While nutritionally not very different, the free range eggs do have a slight edge when in comes to taste and the overall quality of the cooked product (except for boiled/steamed eggs) making that extra payment somewhat worth it. Not sure if it's related to the hormones/antibiotics rampantly used in cage eggs but perhaps less so with the free range ones.
17 minutes of pure science and no BS! Thank you for debunking so many myths!

Excellent video. I have psoriasis and I consulted a naturopath. I have been asked to follow a vegan diet atleast for two months. I asked if I can take eggs after two months as I really love them. I was told to take only egg whites and avoid the yolk. Would you know what could be the reason behind this suggestion to avoid yolk for psoriasis ?

Great video.. so detailed n logical 👍👍
Thank you! Yes, at the end of the day, we pay extra for less cruelty
