Greatest video ever. As a Tamil Brahmin who has been vegetarian for life, I consider eggs as a vegetarian source. I am also a triathlete so I have eggs everyday for my protein needs. Simply put, it is the greatest vegetarian source of protein,
Egg doesn't come from a plant source. So, it's not vegetarian. More precisely speaking, there is nothing like 'vegetarian' or 'non vegetarian' at all. There is only vegan and non vegan. Anyway, egg is not that. It's simply not vegan. And going by what and how you say it, it's not vegetarian. Even ethically, egg can't be considered vegan. Hens develop severe arthritis from repeatedly laying eggs if they are unfertilized. It is almost as cruel as the dairy industry. 🌺 🌿
@@GaneshKumar-dv2yq he explained this for 20 minutes dude. Vegan is when you don’t use any animal products. Vegetarian is when you don’t have to kill. Thank you @krishashok. Educating Indian folks is very important that egg is vegetarian and they should include in their everyday diet plan. One more important point is that India has the highest amount of people suffering from Non -alcoholic Fatty liver disease ( NAFLD) and ultimately may turn into Ascites and liver cirrhosis. Now egg becomes sacrosanct for such individuals and therefore this video must be made viral for educating people..

While the eggs you buy may be unfertilised , but it's not vegetarian, vegetarian is simply shakahari means shak (plants) se aane wala ahaar. And neither milk is . Both of them are produced from animals. Now bigger question is how these birds are treated at poultry to get eggs . They are kept in very gruesome places , very suffocated and confined battery cages , 4-6 birds in a single cell till the period of 3-4 yrs until they are killed finally when their egg production ceases. Mostly to be profited largely , these birds are placed in such a way that their beaks are cut off with a hot iron so they can fit better in that cramped cell and the hens don't injure each other with their beaks punching each other affecting their egg production. They don't see sunlight ,fresh air , or walking on the open grounds . We control their behavior and environment . Hens are artificially and selectively bred for the purpose of giving max eggs of 250-300 for serving the profit of poultry and demand of protein which can be fulfilled by having variety of lentils , legumes , beans and grains. Instead of teaching the masses of getting protein aptly from veg sources , we are encouraging such cruel practices , we don't see and we don't want to see such blind practices , when in reality we can eliminate this unnecessary sufferings of these hens that are not even naturally born but artificially bred for getting the so called protein. There's a fundamental difference between eating eggs and drinking milk. That's ok it's unfertilised egg. What is worrying is the kind of conditions in which chickens are caged. One above the other, some legs broken..... I know food is ones choice but while plants cannot feel or don't have any nervous tissue feeling pain, these animals could be evidently seen in pain, whether it's while butchering or forcefully made to give egg...or in case of dairy. Unfortunately our gluttony triumphs over it. 🤦🤦🤦 If protein is the issue why not protein tablets of spirulina, cheap and best source. Awesome video, my daughter is 17yrs and she became vegetarian becoz of animal cruelty and her protein and nutritional benefits going less each day, now I can show her and convince that these eggs are not fertilised eggs.
We need more such people in public administration to draft & implement good public policy. This video pops many cultural myths which are a hindrance to affordable public nutrition. Malnutrition in kids and nutritional deficiencies in adults can be overcome by regular egg consumption. Keep it up sir. 💪🏼👏🏽
Brilliant thought provoking video packed with scientific facts and figures. As you rightly put it yolk is densely packed with nutrients essential for growth.. which is unfortunately discarded for fear (false)of upping cholesterol levels
Wonderful video. Enjoyed every bit of it (while eating an egg 😄). As far as free range eggs go, the main reason u pay more is for the way the chooks are treated. Cage eggs come from chooks whose beak tips are cut off when they r young to prevent them from killing other chicks squeezed in the cage. Free range chickens don't have to undergo this as they r free to roam which also increases the production costs due to large land areas required. While nutritionally not very different, the free range eggs do have a slight edge when in comes to taste and the overall quality of the cooked product (except for boiled/steamed eggs) making that extra payment somewhat worth it. Not sure if it's related to the hormones/antibiotics rampantly used in cage eggs but perhaps less so with the free range ones.
This video is clear gold, witty presentation but right to the point busting myths one after another.......i am trying to make a content out of it with hyperlink to this video and share it among all the poultry circles.....wish me good luck
17 minutes of pure science and no BS! Thank you for debunking so many myths!

Very scientific, researched well and very convincing for a open mind. Thank you.
Nice information 👌👌
Wow...wow....wow....Hey Krish, I've been watching your videos from past few days and i just don't seem to get enough. Iam 55, ols school. I believe in living the way my granny taught me. So you know what iam saying. But man this video was the cherry on the cake .. fabulous... finally someone talks sense... Iam in love with all your videos, so just keep going on..F#*@ the haters..No one wants to listen to people who state the facts, today everyone wants to live a artificial life and pay money for common sense 😅. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. God bless you 💕
Thank you!!
This should be the best video on the subject of eggs.
Well articulated with scientific facts. A big thanks sir.
thank you
Great video, as usual
I wish you covered the studies that point to links between increased colorectal cancer and egg consumption.
Brilliant thought provoking video packed with scientific facts and figures. As you rightly put it yolk is densely packed with nutrients essential for growth.. which is unfortunately discarded for fear (false)of upping cholesterol levels
Yes!
I love Krish's videos. They are all awesome...
His presentation style is truly unparalleled compared to anyone else I'm familiar with.

I'm new to your channel but from I have seen, you did a great job...being you, and give great deal of information. Keep on the fantastic work!
Thank you
Wonderful video.
Thank you! Yes, at the end of the day, we pay extra for less cruelty
What an explanation on eggs .. thanks for clarifying on cholesterol myth as well

Thanks a lot for promoting EGGS❤

Extremely well study on the topic. Hats off!!
