    Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) are both digestive disorders, but they differ significantly in their nature and effects. IBS is a functional disorder, meaning it affects how the gut works, causing symptoms like abdominal pain, bloating, and changes in bowel habits. However, it does not cause inflammation or damage to the digestive tract. On the other hand, IBD, which includes conditions like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, is an inflammatory condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks the digestive tract, leading to chronic inflammation, tissue damage, and more severe symptoms. While IBS can be managed with dietary and lifestyle changes, IBD often requires more intensive medical treatment due to its potential complications.

      Doctor, Can you kindly clarify if using a straw due to the fear of developing cavities is necessary as instructed by Krish Ashok ji when our mouth naturally produces mucus to reduce any inflammation when any acidic drink content enters it just to be finely gargled, chewed & flushed in along with the mucus just to balance off the ph level of the content?.... Because i personally have never used any straw in my 50+ year career even while drinking ice lemon tea, coffee, tea, carbonated drinks or any other milky beverages.

      And Doctor please do clarify on this too, In my experience IBS became an autoimmune psychosomatic issue when I began taking bowel stimulants like coffee at other times other than in the mornings for that very purpose. So delinking coffee or any such stimulants with the bowel automatically cures IBS in my experience.

    Love your content and especially the fact that you crush most myths that get circulated in family WhatsApp groups in a daily basis. Kudos for your hard work.
    My only point of difference is your insistence on eating Fiber, which can’t explain why certain populations like the Inuit and many many tribes that flourish on a predominantly meat based diet not only flourish but seem to be devoid of many modern day maladies that your video alludes too.
    I am not a proponent of any particular way of eating and am a omnivore as most of us, but fail to understand the data behind Fiber, which IMHO was more observational by missionary colorectal surgeons visiting Africa to fix their problems only to come back with the conclusion that Fiber is the holy grail. Subsequent this bunkum has been proven to not be true as their diet was mainly animal based with the occasional use of fibrous food ie roots to survive but never thrive.
    Sadly your video on Fiber didn’t help to expand on these issues.

    • @krishashok
      @krishashok  3 месяца назад +1

      Thank you. On fiber, I’m largely going with meta analysis and systematic reviews that show that for healthy people with no specific gut issues that are inflamed by fiber, the consensus is that it is excellent for health.

    • @rmgpdoc
      @rmgpdoc 3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for your reply. But does this make it as essential as we are made up to believe ? I think all these meta analysis confirm that it’s safe to have and as you correctly mention won’t cause issues in non inflamed guts.
      The people who gravitate to social media channels to get information tend not to be the healthiest. And for then to be told that eat Fiber and it may help, in my opinion this is doing a disservice.

    Where is the need for a straw when our immune system naturally produces mucus in the mouth to neutralize the acidity in sour things just like the mucus lining in the stomach. So i definitely disagree with the need for a straw, and moreover the acid reflux usually happens when you are laying down on the wrong side during the stage of digestion in the stomach resulting in the digestive stuff moving up. And finally, it is a great video on how our immune system naturally takes care of everything if we give it ample digestion time. Awesome! 👍👍👍

    I had Gastric Ulcer Before 6 Years From Now, I Think Now It was Cured Automatically. But, I Can't Gain Weight - Still at 50KG😢. Would Gastric Ulcer Be Cured Automatically Without Any Medicine?

    I love food which involves tamarind and lemon. After this vedio with out any fear i can continue to eat.
    But why i will get vomiting sensation only in short travel through bus for 1-2 hrs ? ( Tried many nothing worked out so will not eat any thing for 3 hrs before taking bus)
    If i do long travel i will not get vomiting sensation

    I think Colitis and food sensitivity like lactose intolerance or gluten sensitivity are kinda genetic. My mother has always suffered from colitis and lactose intolerance and she has been unable to digest roti on a daily basis. Same happened to me. Surprisingly she started with all of these after giving birth to me. She says that she's consumed milk all throughout her pregnancy but couldn't anymore after giving birth to me. I was diagnosed with colitis and lactose intolerance at a very young age around 3yrs. Suffered all my life from various degrees of stomach pain and eventually developed endometriosis at 21 yrs. I still find it difficult to digest things like rajma, kabuli chana etc on a daily basis
