- I can bring her back.
- You have two days.
- In two days? The last moon of autumn and the first sun of winter appear in the sky together.
- And the bells shall ring in gladness at the Mountain King’s return.
but all shall fail in sadness , and the lake will shine and burn. - Кино
Thranduil's voice is perfect for poetry.
yup i agree with u thranduil's voice is always perfect
Alejandra Rivera Lee Pace
His voice is grand and perfect for King of elf though
Or ASMR...
I could listen him reading my school books and YOU CAN BET THAT I WOULD PAY ATTENTION XD
if i were lee, i would dress like thranduil for the rest of my life.
YES. He looks so much better that way, too.
ikr:D
Lol
I want your fabulous hair!!!
Yesss
It was deleted because Thranduil was simply too sexy in this scene...
Probably
Szerintem igazad van! Senki nem tudott volna figyelni a további cselekményre! Ez így igaz! / I think you're right! No one could have been paying attention to the action! This is so true!
@@csongortunde3468 what?
THRANDUIL HAS THE SEXIEST SINDARIN ACCENT EVER
I think I just hyper ventilated from hearing Thranduil speak. X.X
TOTALLY AGREE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THRANDUIL DOES HAVE THE SEXIEST SINDARIN ACCENT EVER !!!!!!
Eveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer heheh.
true
Mariska Audrey Azalia He has that accent because, as you know, he´s King of Eryn Galen, which is predominate Silvan or Nandorin. That accent comes from that mixture of cultures.
While the Elves of Lothlórien were merged into Noldorin and Sindarin culture, the Sindar Elves of the Greenwood the Great were merged into the Silvan.
Thranduil's poetic way of saying: "You have two days. If you can't find her by then, get your butt home."
I really can't understand why they cut scenes like this and left those stupid romance scenes that add nothing relevant to the story and make you dislike two otherwise perfectly good characters. Legolas having the kings permission to go after Tauriel seems kind of important to me, I thought he joined her in her little rebellion. And it's very short. If you watch a movie of over 3 hours, 30 seconds won't make a difference.
The romance part was the only thing wrong in my opinion. There was no need for it, and added nothing to the story, besides why Legolas went off afterwards. This scene would have been great in the movie, especially to add more to Thranduil and Legolas's relationship as father and son. That was something greatly missing from the Hobbit, that dynamic between two major characters (Thranduil and Legolas), especially when there was no real context of Legolas's history in the Lord of the Rings. Besides, Tauriel was a really dry character imo besides her "its OUR world" crusade.
And that other scene when Gandalf tells thranduil those gems he wanted in the mountain wasn't the only thing his wife left him and that she left him a son. Not sure if that was a deleted scene though.
@@becka5378 I totally agree with you
@@becka5378 there's much wrong but yeah that " fluff '' was the absolute worst 🤢
Yes.. those little seconds explains a lot
Thranduil should have had a scene where he is chanting or casting an ancient spell in elvish.....now that would have been such a scene!!!!!
that would be awsome
Creator Jakovlev OMG that would have been to die for! YOU need to be the next one to make a Thranduil movie with Lee Pace!
Best suggestion EVER! YOU win!!!!!
Yes! Would have been so much better than that cringeworthy healing scene with Kili and Tauriel. *gags*
Omg YES
That majestic green wall tho
Forget thranduil and legolas, the wall is the sexiest thing in the scene
I will never understand why this is deleted. I mean,it goes to show that Legolas asked permission from his father to bring Tauriel back which Thranduil agreed (he gave two days though). AND I get to see Thranduil and Legolas, father-son relationship here. SO YEA.
someone should forbid Thranduil to speak,he's making me feel things
I want to quote the Elvenking back at you, I think: "You've grown very fond of the Elven King, do not give him hope where there is none." Oh wait, you're right, he's single, isn't he?
+Billy Strickland he is married in the movie or widower
@@chelee1910 he’s widowed in the movie
I am obsessed with thranduil
you are not alone
Alice Lucy.....you are defiantly not alone.......I am totally obsessed with him.....I have a very understanding husband as well....
Alice Lucy aren't we all?
@@gatortown4690 chill dude
You and me both,Thranduil, and Legolas
I would watch Thranduil & Legolas recite poetry all day lol
Why did they delete the best scenes??? Especially the one where Thranduil goes to Erebor and Thror offends him. They could have cut off some of Goblin singing and talking for these scenes. I wish there were more scenes with Thranduil!
While they're at it, they should insert him into the LOTR trilogy as an epic moose-riding orc fighter in the Last Alliance (where he actually was according to Tolkien). Now wouldn't that just be amazing??!!
Billy Strickland oh yeah.. It would also be cool if they had showed him fighting in Mirkwood because there were battles there as well during the LOTR events.
Billy Strickland yes it would be, but if you think after here he doesnt share his glory with anybody, in this movie he has his position for himslef, and that gives us a more panoramic view of him.
btw I would have wanted to see gil galad in the lord of the rings but for the same reasons I spoke of he would have his glory and elrond which I too like would have his glory shared with him, I will love due to see an in between movie showing events for the elves after the last alience and the fellowship of the ring
lyon laurent , dragom2009, and +Billy Strickland, except it may not be possible since Peter did start LOTR before the Hobbit in chrongical order but in film production and years started with his company and these Middle-Earth stories from Tolkien's universe. Since he was most interested in doing LOTR than Hobbit though as a obligation to have complete whole saga for that matter.
dragom2009 Gil Galad was one of the most important Elves in Middle Earth he definitely deserved more time than just a scene. But he wasn't part of LOTR story and he died in the Last Alliance so the best chance would have been to see more fighting scenes with him.
I can understand why this scene wasn't in the theatrical version, but why did they delete it instead of putting it into the extended edition?!?
I hope that in the DOS EE will be able to see some additional scene with Thranduil, although one ... and nothing. This is not okay! I feel cheated :(
I find this much more interesting and valuable than the Tauriel/Kili love story (although I don't mind Tauriel being a part of the movies).
I would love to look over Thranduil's shoulder and over Mirkwood to the Lonely Mountain in the distance...
Bard had exactly the same lines in the movie so maybe this scene became redundant/repetative? Maybe they actually gave Thranduil's lines to Bard?
Jada Green
I know that Bard says the same (and Thranduil says just a part of it) poem later in the movie, but in an Extended Edition where everyone already knows about it, this scene would have been awesome, especially because Thranduil's voice is so epic!
Damn it, Peter, why did you delete this scene!? It gives the film a greater, darker atmosphere
LEE PACE IS TOO PERFECT. HE HAS AN AMAZING VOICE AND FACE AND BODY. *gets shot*
As if he was born to play this role🙌
OMG!!! Thranduil's voice is magical like bells. His face is a vision. Just lovely!!!
Just when I think Lee cannot get any more amazing as Thranduil - he does this to me. What an incredible voice. The funny thing is it’s done with green screen and Lee totally hates green screens with a passion.
I played this at maximum volume on my earphones. Just to hear Thranduil's voice whispering in my ears.
That voice. My eardrums are melting.
My retinas are melting at the stunning, regal, not-human beauty that is Thranduil.
Goodness, Lee Pace...you've nailed it!!
Their acting is so good that it seems real even with a green screen obviously behind them. Wow.
I just so admire and proud of Tolkien.
He's just too talented and great writer.
He WAS. Requiescat in pace.
Arc Kocsog
Aye, but he lives in our memory and in his work. He is ...immortal now as long as we remember him.
his works are alive. It means his alive too.
They take out the most important scenes. Lee Pace's delivery tho.
Right? The intensity in his eyes and the way he speaks....oh my word. He is too amazing. I seriously can't stop watching this video.
Legolas's voice is just........ so......... deep and enchanting😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍😍😍
Lord of the rings and the hobbit needs to be real. And I need to be an elf. *sigh*
Jen K and Legolas needs to be MY prince
Jen K *cries in the corner*
Agreed, I would hope to run into an elf with fat fetish if this would real.
I wish they would have had Thranduil ( lee Pace ) in more scenes and that he would have spoken in Elvish more.
This scene is much more better then Bard's.
You know you are a good actor when you can be taken seriously even with only a green screen behind you.
Nooo! Don't delete any scenes with Thranduil please! He's the only thing I really like in this trilogy.
Yo también la veo solo por ver esos pequeños segundos que lo muestran 😓😭
Can they get anymore cryptic? But, Thranduil is just so handsome......*stares at him for an hour*. I can forgive him, kind of. WHY CAN'T HE BE REAL?!
because of his blue eyes
And those damn cheekbones. He's pure sex.
Peter should never delete scene that includes me
Lee you have amazing voice
I really wish they would have had Thranduil speak more elvish in the films. He is the King of the Elves after alll. Lee has such a beautiful deep tone that resonates the language so well! I melt every time 🤤
They were afraid that they will get sued because this can kill fangirls, THRANDUIL'S VOICE CAN KILL
Really really should have left that in, I tingled down my back with that lol.
Thranduil and Leolas are the sexist father and son team in the movies ever!!! I want to do them both !!!
leaiplussize at the same time
Tf-💀
I think thats a bit to much
@@user-vu2hd I think it's reasonable.
Rather have Thranduil say that line than Bard. *sigh*
I am also disappointed that this was not put in the Extended edition...maybe in another 'cut' they will slot it in....
This was a lovely scene, and I really hope we DO get to see some father/son scene in BOTFA, something warming at least.
The movies so far have made Thranduil look like a heartless, greedy villian - though if one has read the books, it is clear he is not. I also wish this entire scene had been in Sindarin....Lee's voice makes it sound like pure silk.
OMG!!!!!!!! THRANDUIL IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOVELY AND THE BEST ELF EVER!!!!!! I MUST WATCH THIS AGAIN!!!!
Queen of Mirkwood your name indicates that thranduil is "Queen" not "King" lollllll XD
Suchana Dusitnanond
My name Quuen doesn't mean Thranduil , I mean "Thranduil's wife" this name is just fan made:) I would be aran of mirkwood ,but I'm not boy
umm that's great i want to be his wife too but sometimes i see him as queen of bitches lol
Yes , Why would Thranduil be quuen of bitches , if he would be quuen?
Amen honey I soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo agree with you !!!
That voice sends shivers down the spine. "...and the lake will shine, and burn."
I always feel that Lee Pace might be able to do a very good impression of Alan Rickman (the actor who played Snape in Harry Potter). They both have the same deep, sexy voice.
Lee Pace's voice ugh it's perfection
Maybe because Bard says the same thing later? But what a pity, I would have liked to see more elves in extended edition..
FUCK man.. I really would've wished for this scene to be in the final cut.
This father and son relationship really intrigues me since Legolas has always been my favorite character.
It would have set up the scene lovely when legolas was leaving. And the scene when gandalf says his wife left him a son not just gems
Wish there were more scenes of Thranduil speaking elvish
Both of them! Speaking Sindarin! *hyperventilates*
I love Legolas and Thranduil both but I can understand why they deleted this scene. The prophecy is too important to the Laketown sequence to have been shown earlier, the pace wouldn't work to show it then, and it makes the elves look like really scummy people if they know Laketown would burn and do nothing.
Not to mention that the whole point of the elves' plot is Thranduil's isolation policy. It doesn't make sense for the elves to know Laketown's saying/prophecy. They only interact for basic trading purposes, after all.
As for Tauriel, Legolas says, "The king is angry, Tauriel. For 600 years, my father has protected you, favored you. You defied his orders; you betrayed his trust. Come back with me...he will forgive you."
The only way for Thranduil to be angry is if he knows that Tauriel left. The only way for Legolas to know about his anger is if he was there. Legolas's lines show that he's there to talk sense into Tauriel and bring her back. It makes sense that Thranduil sent him.
Where the hell did you get the "isolation" nonsense? Did you forget Thranduil does trading with people of Lake-Town and used to be close friends with dwarves of Erebor? It wouldn't make any sense for ancient elves to not know about the prophesy but for the simple fishermen be aware of it.
Thranduil is not an isolationist.
Finally someone making a sensible comment... You gotta love all the other comments of wannabe-video editors who think they know so much more than Peter Jackson how to make great movies. Laughable. They are completely clueless about the whole process.
@@tiaaaron3278 He got the isolation element from the movies, simply and obviously, where it's clearly pointed out and also explained, following Thror breaking their deal in his growing madness, and also, even more importantly, the death of Thranduil's wife, Legolas' mother... If you didnt watch them, your comments are irrelevant. His people are only still doing minor trading with Laketown, incomparable with the past trade with Erebor and Dale ; and having a single trade of wine is not really enough to refute the general isolationist politics. Noone can enter their domain uninvited without risking their life (and they dont invite anyone...), and they are not trading products coming from their finer, superior crafts. That's quite clearly isolationist.
"And the lake will shine and burn"
I wish they had kept this scene, if only so I could listen to them speak in Elvish.
Thranduil and Legolas really sound like each other...
I love Thranduil's sexy deep voice in this scene so much.
Why did they delete this scene???
This scene is just perfect, you are beautiful Legolas!😍
DELETED!!!! HELL NO, MAN!
He's charming! XD I love his charactor in The Hobbit so much!
I'm not amused like so many fans here, that this scene was cutted, because it shows another kind of relationship between father and son, not that arrogant and cold behaviour, but a new interesting facet of his character ( and we know, that Tolkien's Thranduil wasn't that way as shown in the movie)
Thranduil is sooo hott. D: Oh dear...
Lee is poetry .
❤
OMG, really?! This would be a such a perfect scene in the movie!
oh, legolas and his mysterious sayings... why did they delete that!!
Thranduil give me chest pain ♥
I was rather surprised this didn't make it to the extended version either... it would've been a valuable and nice touch. Having a 3000-year-old Elven king say it as well, I feel, would've reinforced the sayings of the prophecy which Bard later also recites.
I love Orlando bloom soooooooo much
This guy is absolutely beautiful. His voice was rubbing in my ear pleasantly. Compared to that, can you imagine the awfulness of how badly his Hungarian voice was selected??!! The most beautiful part of the movie was spoiled!
What the !!!????? Why did you delete this scene?????? This scene is completely necessary!!!! So beautifulll!!!! The dialogue and all!!! Reminding everything about the prophecy that was remarkable!!! Why did you have to delete this scene, peter?? whyy????
I think they should put this scene in the extended because it's awesome the way thranduil described Durins day
If I don't find this in the DVD extended scene I'd be sorely disappointed. This was a good scene!
this voice pff,I love Thranduil
Lee's voice...oooh! They should have left this in instead of having Bard recite it.
They both are so pretty🤧😍 they should have added this scene it would have made sense
This would be a nice prologue for TBOTFA Extended Edition.. then cuts to the dragon attacking Lake Town :)
Oh god that would be awesome :D alsways found the first scenes of bofa a bit too sudden
Yes!!! I thought this exact same thing the last time watched BOTFA! When you can see Lake Town from a distance and the fire is reflecting off the water, all I could hear in my head was Thranduil's voice saying, "and the lake will shine...and burn."
I keep watching this scene...and wishing that Lee Pace does some incarnation of Morpheus from the Sandman series. That voice is just so bloody epic....
Why they deleted this? This scene is just 35 second long. There are many meanless scene in the movie and instead of deleting one of them, they deleted this? I just can't believe it.
As a straight guy I have to admit Thranduil is sexy, as well as Lee pace is too.
This scene could have helped to connect with the scene where Legolas receives a message to return immediately w/o Tauriel (banished), because he missed the two day deadline. Also, it clarifies Thranduil's moving his army towards Erebor to try to stabilize what he fears will be a huge problem if the dwarves have disturbed Smaug (not the ridiculous excuse of retrieving one necklace from that mountain of stuff).
No había visto esta escena de la versión extendida. Hablan sobre la profecía. Interesante. Me hubiese gustado ver más escenas de Thranduil con Légolas.
I don't care if this scene, or any other scenes with Thranduil, has anything to do with the main story or not, because the main story already disappointed me. I get to see the badass Elven king, that's what I care.
I love these deleted scenes
Aaaaaaand *faints*
I remember not seeing this scene in the theater that night
lee's voice gave me eargasm...
Woulda liked to have seen a finished version of this. Seriously Peter, 3 hours of Unexpected Journey buffoonery and you don't bother to finish a scene like This?! :/
Thranduil is so hot.
I would pay anything to hear his voice audio-record anything. Books? News? Anything that i can have on repeat atleast. Lee's Thranduil voice are ..SOOO GOOOD BROOO
I agree. It is a pity that he doesn't work more as a voice actor.
Ohh why peter...why not put it in the movie somewhere...I so wished for a conversation between them! Please! let there be some of it in the Five armies
hoe legolas ook kijkt zo...zo cool en leuk en een beetje eng
I have that staff! But more importantly, excellent voices.
The tone of voice makes it almost as if they have figured out something and not legolas being told you have 2 days to get her and come back. If you dont get to her in 2 days then return without her.
:OO oh my gosh!! Why did they delete this scene?? I really loved though there wasn't the real background or something...
Why they didn't put this epic in the movie
It was going to be very awesome 🤩
wow Lee Pace
This scene didn't even make it into the Extended Edition. I know Thranduil's line was said by Bard in the Desolation of Smaug, which is why they cut it to not make it repetitive...but I rather hear Lee Pace's voice saying it. Haha. That voice though...sexxayy
I always wanted to see how films are made and what happens behind the scenes. Thank you very much.
Lol when they look dramatically at the green curtain. Great scene, funny curtain
Thranduil aka Lee pace was just too much to handle 😅
What a beautiful lake~
Woow... beautiful scene!
im sorry im in love with legolas
pity that this scene isn't in film :(....PS Lee Pace is real Elven King
It wasn't deleted more so it just wasn't included, because they already have Bard's scene where he also says the prophecy. It sort of gave more emphasis to him being the hero who saves Laketown.
