Girly I love how you review. You touch on the little details that most reviewers just gloss over. I ordered the Monos Carry On Pro Plus and your review just made me all the more excited to get mine.
How well is rolls and spins on different surfaces, when it’s packed, is such an important detail. All of them roll well on tile or wood flooring when empty. But, go down a long hotel hallway that’s carpeted, that’s when you want the ones that rolls the easiest for sure. I can’t find anyone who checks that out.
Agreed that's a very important detail and I'm glad you pointed it out! I actually made another updated review on my Beis carry on and definitely mentioned that my Beis feels heavy when being rolled on carpet/on the ramp. Not sure why. Thanks for commenting!!
I Love my monos but I did not get the pro version just the regular because I thought the front pocket would be useless. My friend got the one with the front pocket and said it was a bad decision. Monos is awesome plus its a Canadian Company which I love
Hi- I haven't taken my Beis carryon on any international trips so I don't have personal experience to comment on. I have taken many domestic airlines (usually fly Delta, SW, jetblue and haven't had any issues). I would recommend that you check the airline measurements beforehand. Thanks for watching!!
All the major brands are too large. Mono, July, Away, etc. No airlines cares about an inch or two, unless the plane is completely full. Finally, there is a video showing Beis fitting in United, Spirit, Frontier, JetBlue, Delta, etc.
I bought a monos bag and had to pay 40 to return it. One nitpick my thing I did not like about the monos logo is it sticks up in the front panel. I got the pro and did not like the logo to intrude in the front side. I like the front to be flat.
DO NOT USE BEIS FOR INTL TRAVEL, 90% intl carriers will not accept it as carryon in main cabin. I traveled for work in last job and lived by carryon for Europe Asia and South America. Most intl carriers won’t allow BEIS due to its height it’s just a bit too tall to allow overhead to close. Also expanding it means to have to check it🤷♂️. Otherwise they are decent and not as heavy as other options. I have 4 different brands (monos,level8,BEIS & away) they are as well made as monos or away for sure and truthfully a lot of this comes down to choice but for intl travel I use my monos hybrid it hasn’t failed the luggage sizer yet
I expected ryanair to fail, almost every one does, had same problem once on Aer Lingus, same on TAP, and Lufthansa. Lufthansa agent was the one that pointed out the height problem, otherwise its build quality and features make it a great option, and if you are only travelling domestic go for it you wont regret@@savvyladyreviews
What if you take it on major intercontinental planes? Looking to get something a little bigger for flighs between Amsterdam - JFK (Delta & KLM). Have tried that?
The plus size carry ons will work with pretty much all US domestic flights. Your mileage may vary on international flights as some of those airlines fly smaller planes and are more stringent on the size/weight of carry ons
Hi! Thank you for your suggestion! Looking into it and with my previous experiences with luggages with front pockets, I don’t tend to like them because it takes up interior space and I tend to be a heavy packer 😬 as well as it doesn’t hold the laptop accessories which takes up even more interior space. thanks again for your suggestion and if anything else interesting and new comes out or if I change my mind, I’d love to look into reviewing other items!!
On the first trip, the paint on my Monos check-in scraped off. The bag looks awful after one trip. The carry-on is for 2-3 days max, but the laptop sleeve is too narrow. I couldn't fit my mac book and charger, which is absurd. Only a laptop and a thin notebook could fit. I regret buying the Monos set. I'm thinking about giving it to my husband and considering Beis. *Sigh
Thanks for sharing your experience with Monos. Consider checking out the level 8 brand, I like Beis and Level8 more than the Monos (personal opinion!). Thanks for watching and commenting!
First time watching your review and love how thorough you are in the details you cover as I am currently trying to decide on which brand is best to invest in, thank you!
Glad this was helpful for you! Since filming this video, I have returned the monos as it's a bit smaller and not expandable. I love my Beis and have both the entire set for myself, husband, and relatives. I do want to add that I recently discovered another luggage Level 8 that I will be releasing a review very soon, I also really like it almost as much as my beis. Thanks for watching!
Hi! I already made another video and wanted to save time! Check out my video here to see the inside of the beis- ruclips.net/video/WawvSq_70o8/видео.html
I usually take Delta and occasionally take Jet Blue or SW airlines and have not been told that this carry was too big for the overhead compartment/told to check it. I have heard that some other budget domestic airlines and international airlines have smaller size requirements though, although I haven't experienced it myself. I hope this was helpful! Thanks for watching!

Hi! I'm so glad this was helpful for you! I did another video that I'll link below where I did a full review of the Beis including showing the inside. I have another video with an updated review on my Beis carry on! Enjoy! ruclips.net/video/WawvSq_70o8/видео.html
Thank you for the review. I was thinking about the front pocket version but I don't think my laptop and charger will fit. It does look great though. I like the sleek look.
I agree it looks sleek but overall, It's not too beneficial or functional for me given the limited capacity so I'd rather just put my laptop and accessories in a separate personal item bag on top. Glad this was helpful for you!! Enjoy! ❤️
Thanks for the detailed comparison! Does the Beis fit in overhead compartments? Also, is the front pocket in Monos usable? The front pocket appears to take some space away from the interior space.
Hi! I've never had any difficulty with fitting the (unexpanded)Beis in the overhead compartments when I fly, I generally take Delta, Jet Blue or Southwest. I'm not personally sure about the budget airlines like Spirit though. I also agree that the Monos front pocket takes up interior space and overall, although it holds a laptop, I found it to be limiting as it doesn't hold power cords and such so we actually ended up returning the Monos and keeping the Beis for my husband. He now carries a backpack with his laptop. Hope that was helpful and thanks for watching!!
Hi! They are both good and functional. I think the quality of the monos is slightly better and they are reinforced with some metal pieces however, I've never had any problems with the Beis. I tend to overpack and I have actually returned the Monos one (my husband chose the beis one over the monos) and I use the Beis every time I travel and have never had any issues with the Beis one! Thanks for watching!
Great review thanks! It’s worth noting that the extra pocket on the Monos version is one reason why it’s more expensive (adds about $40 to the price). If you purchased the regular Carry On Plus it would only be about $60 more than the Beis version. I agree about not having an expandable feature as a negative, but on the positive, Monos customer service was exceptional when I had to exchange the pro for a regular version, as the pocket was almost useless from being so tight and taking up room in the main bag.
Thank you for letting me know about the customer service at Monos! I feel it's SOO important, especially when we purchase projects from online based companies! Thanks for watching!
OMG! I just confirmed with away customer service and yes, they only offer returns on UNUSED luggage now! SHOCKING as I felt that was a huge selling point for Away products. Thanks for letting me and all the viewers know!
Yeah I was surprised too…. But tbh I think people probably abused it… I don’t think they should have canceled it all together, but probably went down to 30 days
I hope you people do realize that these suitcases with front panels are typically for just quick access items.... Passport, cash, cables, etc. Putting laptops and thick bulky items is not ideal for feature on a suitcase like this ! 🙄🤦
Hi! I tried putting in the cords and things as to keep all my accessories together with the laptop for quick access when traveling! I also wanted to see what fits in this pocket and luggage for myself and all viewers. Thanks for watching!
Hi! Unfortunately the Monos luggage front pocket is not lockable! If you're interested in one that has a lockable front pocket, check out the Level 8 brand here at www.level8cases.com/?ref=VM5g8LF1TjhuK and see the Road Runner carry on with pocket! If you enter code "SLR" you can get an additional 10% discount! Hope this was helpful and Enjoy!!
Agreed! My husband ended up choosing the Beis over the Monos therefore we had to pay the $40 fee to return it! The $40 is for the return shipping & restocking! Thanks for watching!
Hi! I wish I got a darker color however overall, I think it still looks pretty clean and it is easy to clean. I made an updated review on my Beis and showed the condition of it in my video: ruclips.net/video/oaLTuCHam_c/видео.html
The whole let someone use them for 100 days isn't a smart business practice.. I'd love to know how many people use them and then send it back being that's exactly what I do when I travel I've used that method a few times noe definitely the way to go unless your traveling a lot.
Monos is to be avoided. Bad business practices with hidden terms, impotent and evasive customer reps and only text to communicate. Completely frustrated 2 days before vacation with bags that were to be delivered by paid express still not here. $1100 worth of anxiety.
When someone shops they typically compare equivalent models from different brands. You compared different models making this review of no use. You should not have compared the Monos Pro....you should have compared the Monos carry-on...again not pro. Also an expandable, when used in the expanded position, becomes check-in size. The outside pocket, considering legal size for carry-on, takes away from the bags internal volume. Doing a wheels test by rolling it back and forth on a table?? Really? Also, you said the cost difference was about $100 but again you are comparing two different models. The actual price difference is $255 - $218 = $37 when you compare equivalent models. Are all your reviews this bad??
Thanks for the feedback. This video was based on comparing brands/items that I was most interested in as I bought these items myself (ie, this is not a sponsored video) for personal use and I wanted to make a honest review video for my viewers. Regardless of the item to item comparison, the quality of the materials used, feel and look of the brand still remains for the individual brands. Lastly, feel free to view other channels or the company reviews for a more "equivalent" comparison if you are not satisfied. PS- they were each rolled on the floor, not table.
Imagine that if you unzip the zipper on both sides of that compression pad you can reach through it and access it from both sides ...holly 💩what a revaluation! Lol ,Good review though.....

I love the idea of a hard side with a outside compartment. I think that’s what’s been missing for me with my hard side.
I have the hybrid pro and I agree, I was a little bummed about it not being expandable but I still feel like I can fit sooo much in the carry on!
