It's one thing, to have learned to transfer an idea from my mind and paint it on canvas. I cannot quite relate to seeing something in stone and taking away all the extraneous pieces till the sculpture is finished. My admiration is for those who can. 😊
I am a Niigata citizen, but jade is a stone in Niigata prefecture. I am very happy to give the people the impression across the sea like this. わたしは新潟県民なのですが、ヒスイは新潟県の県の石なのです。 こうやって海を渡って人々に感動を与えているのは嬉しいです。
Looking at this is mind blowing, the color is very deep. The beauty of creation is mind blowing.... theirs so much of it around us Thank JEHOVAH for all the gifts that he has given man to do many wonderful things with.
That is impressive! Seeing how big the uncut piece and how big the finished piece was (along with the few scenes of cutting the original stone down. I wonder what the sculptor does with all the "left overs".
Let's not all be close minded. Everyone has a extraordinary way of creating unique artwork. Let's not label each other who is better than the other. Everyone is unique. So be more open-minded. This is pretty cool artwork . ❤❤❤❤
when i clicked on the video with a thumnail of a nephrite bird i was like i wish i can do a nephrite carving like that and thought to my self i wonder where they get the inspiration. and then In the first black and white picture of the rough stone i can see the bird shape. which is often how i like to carve is following the things i see in the stone
I have carved nephrite for years, it is soft and easy to work. The diamond dust material goes smoothly on the nephrite. Jade in the other hand is very hard, depending on the jade area (myanmar, guatemala, japan) they have different hardness in the mosh scale and also depending on the color of the jade, because of the different minerals that mix with jade (wich is white) gives them not only color but also hardness. Black jade is very very difficult to work with you can't compare it with nephrite. If you are a jade carver with experience in all jades, you'll understand. Basically all of the people who comment here only base there statements on what they read and believe is true. This is something you have to experience.
"Jadeite is Jade but not all Jade is Jadeite.. Some of it is Nephrite Jade" Nephrite is also Jade but the difference between the two is that Jadeite is harder having lighter and rich saturation while Nephrite is softer with darker or paler saturation.. In behalf of the hardness and color differences, Jadeite and Nephrite were both Jade..
He's a very talented artist, but it's nothing compared to what they used to create with no electric tools. Think about how long it takes to carve Jade without the modern shortcuts.
that is a beautiful carving! thank you for sharing it with us!!

Excelente.
Đẹp quá
yes
Are you geology?
Beautiful work. It's nephryte though, not Jade. Jade is much more harder. Nevertheless, great work.
Jade includes nephrite and jadeite. Nephrite is softer but tougher.

Nephryte is still jade. Jade is classified as two types of gems: Nephryte and Jadeite
jade like :0)

Sayang sekali di bikin patung, natural saja bagus ko
Most likely all the jade is from Guatemala
Красотища
Concentrated kitsch
You duck, GRINGO!
You suck, duck, GRINGO
WTF carving with no mask
Master craftsman?.......hardly
A lot of that wasn't jade, but nice clickbait lol.
