- This project has helped me learn a lot about video editing- I've spent many hours working on the art, and after sitting back and watching the whole piece come together over the last few months, I can say that I'm happy with what I made-
Yes, there are some aspects of this pmv that could use some fine tuning, AKA the timing of the lyrics/frames, but regardless, I think it still works.
The premise of this PMV is the life of Prince Arctic, which portrayed in the 'Wings of Fire' Legends book. I wanted to try and captivate his emotions and reactions the way I see them in my head. This was really fun to do, but now I need to take a break on large projects for a little while- I will however do MAPs in the meantime.
Also, this is a celebration for hitting just about 1000 subs! Thank you all for joining me on this journey! :D

I really like how it pans to Whiteout for "bright blessed day" and Darkstalker for "dark sacred night". It really sums up how Arctic thinks of both of his children.

I think this song is so well chosen for Arctic’s story. His whole life was dictated by social etiquette, rules, boundaries, _walls_ But after meeting Foeslayer he begins to think of the world differently. And then, the escape. The very last shot is quite interesting to me because it not only highlights his death, but the deaths of icewings all around him. Snowflake, his guards who’d taught him everything, and the gift he could’ve bestowed upon the icewings most of all. He becomes cynical, pessimistic, and “what a wonderful world” becomes more of a sarcastic and torturous chant rather than a new perspective on life. His perspective of life has changed yes, but through the lenses of death, treason, and regret most of all. That’s why the scene with Darkstalker and Whiteout is so powerful, because you can feel the full weight of his guilt and regret. He regrets agreeing to leave with Foeslayer, he regrets the deaths of his people, he regrets his dragonets

I think if Arctic showed more affection towards his entire family his story would have ended differently, and maybe trying to convince his parents more
His mother did not care about his feelings, so convincing was out of the window. Wilst escaping he saw his only Friends die, because of him. The truth is he cant ever be happy because everything was against him.

Arctic really drew the short stick in life.
His own mother treated him as a tool, his own son disposed him, he lived as an outcast his whole life, more like a tool, and he died a horrible death.
But perhaps it was not in vain.
Ice wings lost the ability (thru their own stupidity and greed) the animus ability, night wings lost their mental powers thru ignorance, and the other tribes were left to thrive.
In a way, it created a balance.
The ice wings and night wings could no longer dominate (as much)the other dragon species as a result.
In the long term, his suffering was not in vain.
Could you imagine if an Ice Wing animus decided to use their “gift” to turn the entire continent into an ice world?
If one could make an ice wall kill any none ice wing that tried to enter, it’s scary what another could think up.
Heck, if Ice Wings and Night wings United, they could of enslaved the other races!
Mind reading with Animus magic.
The other races would be doomed!

I think this is one of the best PMVs I've ever seen, the artstyle, the designs, the timing... Everything is just perfect!
Honestly, from my point of view, Arctic's story was one of the saddest I've read. He just wanted to be free from his controlling mother. As Clearsight once said, this dragon had no possible happy ending... Is just sad. I feel really bad for him.

it starts out really nice and kind and then ends up like screaming and yelling, and heavy sarcasm. love it. wish the one i was working on would end up like this.
I love this so much. The character designs are clearly from the books, and simplified slightly. The colors are great. I appreciate the addition of the lyrics into the pmv. The Nightwing kingdom is solid black and dark grays where Arctic stands out of place by glowing white. The contrast here emphases how out of place he feels. Even though Foeslayer has dark grays and greens, and the Icewing kingdom is whites and blues, she doesn't stand out as harshly. Whiteout's dappled colors are so pretty, and Darkstalker's design is also very nice. The red outlines at 1:15 pop of the background and look really cool. You are great at drawing a front perspective on dragons. It's hard! The lineless art at 1:39 is so soft and nice. Lastly, I want to compliment you on how well you draw the wings. They "hang" very naturally.

This is so good! Your sense of timing is impeccable and there are so many good moments - Whiteout as "blessed day" and Dark as "night", the moment when Arctic and Whiteout burst through the clouds, etc. The song choice is super good too for Arctic, a positive song but in minor key it has a dark, cynical spin. I love your sleek style too!

The combination of a lullaby, a classical song, and modern rock is possibly the best combination of music I've heard yet, being eerily cheerful with undertones of something more sinister and dark.

Arctic really was treated horribly, leaving his kids the only way to project his anger. The scene where Arctic looks down in horror at the protection earring, he really loved Foeslayer so much 😢 This is amazinggg

Arctic gave up everything to be with Foeslayer, only to end up getting disemboweled with his own claws and humiliated by his son and not even be able to save Foeslayer. He had a short lived life and it was NOT a happy one.
I really can feel the anger of Arctic and how he feels of being controlled by his mother ALL THE TIME I just hope he could have a happy ending.. but whiteout is pretty as always! And foeslayer is beautiful the shading is gorgeous and keep up this work!

I can’t tell you how much I love this! The mood you set is just amazing! It defiantly shows how Arctic is at war with the world and filled with hate for everyone. I like how “A wonderful world” is sort of sarcastic. At least that’s how I interpreted it.

This is so underrated it's insane
The emotions are powerful and I can clearly tell what's happening! The lyrics fit the tone of the story and I absolutely adore the art used in this. It truly expresses Arctic. I could watch this for an hour and not get tired of it!

Ok, this is AMAZING!! There is so much to gush about here! I love the style of everything, especially the little figures when it's zoomed out; they're simple, but really well done. And I love the way you draw whiteout's wings!
The way you matched the scenes to the lyrics is brilliant, my personal favourite has to be how the line "what a wonderful world" gradually becomes less and less sincere; starting off with Arctic falling in love and ending with his dramatic death. And that ending shot of him is BEAUTIFUL! I love the way he looks so broken, and alone, and sad! You really get the feeling that the world was against him and he was alone to fight it!

Can we all just agree this is an amazing song for Artic especially? I loved the ears on the IceWing, good attention to detail. I love the art and colors and most of all shapes of the dragons. I myself can never get the anatomy alone visually different from tribe to tribe but you did it really well! This is going into my favorites list, and I shall watch it every single week if not more.
