I find his entire review suspect, all images used seem to be stock photos that have been composited in. Did the author really have access to these units or is he just reviewing them based on other reviews?
Which JL models are you talking about? I know many people have used the Car Audio subs for home theater, with a DIY box and Plate Amplifier from Dayton Audio. Once i saw a discontinued 12" JL subwoofer for home theater, box and plate amp all together 1 piece it was just $199.
I have dual SB-4000 subs and holy moly! I have set at -12 db so the windows don’t explode out of my home however they are extremely precise with no flabbiness. Since I am quadriplegic being able to control them with a mouth stylus from my iPad is wonderful. My sister who cares for me has placed Christmas decorations on my subs so I just crank em to-10 and watch them dance off the edge…SVS subs are so fun! Galactus the God Eater tier
Very narrow list of subs reviewed. How can you call this a list of BEST subwoofers for 2024 when you have not reviewed all or most of the top tier subwoofers listed. Very disappointing
All this info, and all of its subjective to room size and placement. I bought a Klipsch SLP 120, sounded great, thought I would try the SVS SB 2000 Pro. On paper, the SVS should have blown the Klipsch out of the water, but it didn't. Due to room size and limited placement, the SVS sucked ass. Hell, my old R 120 SW sounded better than the SVS.
On paper the klipsch spl 120 is better then the svs sb2000 it's literally in the name for a sealed sub to match the performance of a ported sub you need double the power and about 2 inch bigger cone they are both 12 inch subs klipsch with 300 watts and svs with 550 watts the svs needed either more watts or a 14 inch driver to match the klipsch spl 120 you have to remember ported drivers are way more efficient as for going low the svs does some dsp magic aka make a huge dip at 30 hz and bring it back up at 20hz specifically to get their paper spec of 20hz when push at high volume it will most likely have the exact same bass extension as the klipsch slp120 if it was the spl 120 vs the pb2000 the pb2000 would massacre the klipch that being said it is double to triple the price so should be expected
Subwoofers sound so much better when not being held back. Hence, let the size of the room choose the size of the subwoofer(s) Subwoofer placement is important. However, the position of the MLP is also important. Getting the couch of the back wall by at least two feet within my small 13 x 11.5 ft living room has probably been one of the biggest upgrades to my listening experience. Where there's a will, there's a way
Monoprice subs should've been on here. They took the crown from svs until svs came out with their 17" subwoofer. I have the 10 v2 monolith sub and that shit bumps
I own the RSL 12s. Fantastic value at $799. Right there with an SVS PB-3000. I’ve been considering the (4) Starke 15”’s or jumping to (2) Rythmik servo subs
@@gtoutdoors1197 I got 2 captivators only a year and a half old , second market for 4K total. Deals like that don’t happen often, but im beyond happy I joined the JTR Facebook group I picked them up from.
Ya that's definitely not comparable, you could compare it to RBH SF/R 21" subwoofer or possibly SVS Ultra 17". Another way to go for Value is buying 4 HSU VTF-3 dual ported 15" subs at $999 each but you get a discount if you buy 2 or 4.
Klipsch is trash , people love them because of the color . All they do is shake, rattle, and roll as they lack any tone . Klipsch subs are horrible for music , but ok for home theatre.

This is too true
I know someone who got paid to review resorts all over the world but never went there.

Very limited list there Bud! No HSU. No Power Sound Audio. No Rythmik. No JTR. This list looks like SVS paid you to advertise for them......
SVS 3000 Micro, KEF KC62, SVS PB16-Ultra, and SVS SB-3000 are in the god tier
No REL subs?
Sony core Subwoofers is
Polk xt 12 are the very best Bass things 👌
I bet you've never touched these subs ...
not very useful when we arent working with a specific price bracket
No REL sub's... really!
Just to let you know that the woofer in the klipsch is not spun copper. But polypropylene and dyed too look like copper. Cheers 🍻
Had you tried REL😊
no Rel in the list?
I can take any of the JL Audio home theater powered sub line and pretty much say they are better than most if not all of these

Svs HANDS down 💪🏽

martain logans are great!!!
Of course bigger subs will have more bass
Fake video(s) ....
Any thoughts on the RSL speedwoofer line?
Good tier for me . At SVS level.

God tier the most expensive shit you could find on Amazon. Mf you ain’t slick.
I went from SVS PB2000’s
to JTR captivators JTR is truly god tier, makes this list look like toys 😆

Subjective and incomplete list. Where are the popular RSL subs?
Matter of opinion only
I was expecting some comments on Elac's varro series of subwoofers:(
The SPL 150 is trash
