Already getting used to the green screen stuff but loving it. It really adds a unique style to your channel. Keep up the good work man! My only feedback is that I'd have liked to have seen a little more detail on incursions: what are the escorts you need to grab? What are the objectives of the quests? And maybe some indication how much slower regular world questing or a standard solo dungeon route would be as alternative leveling methods. Great video!
hi ingwiafraujaz, thanks for your feedback on the greenscreen content. as for the incursions: it's essentially something you have to do yourself a few times to understand the quests.
way the incursions is set up is that you go the areas (ie in duskwood: ogres -> dragons -> worgens). you pick up the escort quest (if it's there, if not, skip it, it's only 3.3k xp). you do the intelligence quest in the cave (if you have it) and click the scroll on the ground. you kill the elite mob if you have 5 players (regardless of if you have the quest, since it's a bonus 2.5k xp even without the quest). then you head out of the cave and finish the kill quest if you had that. then you go to dragons, you kill the boss if it's up, click the egg if you have that quest, kill the dragons if you have them, intelligence if you have it. then escort quest pickup if it's there. then to worgens, kill them if you have the kill quest. upstairs in the 2 story house for shadowscythe. next door pick up the escort. then in the barn you kill the boss and pick up the intelligence quest. then you run to the east to trigger the fog teleport which takes you back to mid. then you just run up the stairs and turn in.
see it's really just: doing the quests that you have, knowing where each quest is. takes maybe 1 hour to learn it all

The Nightmare Incursion Helper addon is a godsend for doing the incursions. Highly recommend.

@@NOHITJEROME Yep it basically automates the annoying quest popups. Makes sharing and turning in super fast.
when questing 1-25 for example, how would you get around the 100% xp bonus using rested xp? do you just reload a guide for a new zone once you hit that level and then travel there, or would you continue the guide and continue at semi lower level content?
Just do that quest line, until you are not lv 25. When i was leveling some days ago, after that guide for lv 20 was finished, my lock was around 23 and half level. Then you go for all deadmines quest and run 1-3 deadmines dungeon. And you will be fine geared lv 25/26.
you can adjust the xp modifier in rxp to not go so crazy fast. or just do another zone ya. as long as im following steps im happy, dont really care which guide or route lol
Do you know anything about Hyper Spawn lvling? I'm trying to find some info of it for sod, I alredy lvled 3 alts that I'm raiding with. But I've 4 more to bring up to date, and I'm not in a hurry I don't want to suffer as much this time
i don't have much, there are certain hyperspawns that are amazing. westfall crabs, defias in westfall too. have to kill very fast to boost yourself. stockades would likely be better or just afk rfc
The incursions are ok. Even if I don’t play them very often I am glad new content is in the game. I plan to level my paladin first then fire mage second. And then finally I will start leveling a warrior. Awesome video dude

hi maximilian - we are layer swapping if it's a bad layer, that seems like the best way. just leave those jerks and go to your good layer

@NOHITJEROME It's going good besides constantly thinking about rerolling. I'm just coming back from a break. The xp boost is so nice. I'm going to try and grind it harder than I ever have though so I can finally experience end game content. It's been forever for me and I miss those days

still the best. duskwood 100k/hr ashenvale 180-200k. gold is great and also you get rep for prebis for the raid. can't beat that

Where do you buy a mount before lvl 40? If your alliance gnome or any alliance toon?
should be the wsg rep vendor, you do need friendly which I didn't specify - you can get that from doing the ashenvale daily quest with the item turnin
You made me run all the way to the WSG vendor at lvl 37 just to find out I can't buy the mount cause I have no wsg rep. Thanks for the guide!

Honestly with how streamlined leveling is becoming and after my most recent ST, I think its time to finally level my warrior!
it's the perfect time matt, highly recommend leveling your war. by the end of this phase, all top dps will be warriors

I don't think the catchup set is better than full Gnomer BiS right? My 40 hunter still has Gnomer BiS.
full gnomer bis is better in most cases, the catchup set is slightly worse usually and is designed for fresh characters

Is it still worth doing the dusk wood portal? Just because they nerfed portals
yes very worth, it's about 80k / hr at peak + free gold and no questing will compare
I made the pivot from Melee / BM hunter to Resto + Ele Shaman - tons of fun!
fascinating swap, did you watch a highlight reel of ele shamans at level 60? hunters are insane right now but i understand setting up for the endgame. hunters never thrive at 60

hopefully you sorted it out by now rorriak but it was just 37 -> get friendly with ashenvale to get your mount -> start the quests

The incursion quests bug, you can’t finish them as it will say 3/5 killed but the quest said 0/3 are to kill and so it stops counting towards it at 3/5 bcs system thinks u at 3/3
they are fixed now, are you making bank with the incursions now? they are solid gold for me now

Warsong rep and then ashenvale warsong vendor.

ashenvale mount - you can buy it for 10g from the warsong vendor

I like it more than phase 2 so far, i started phase 2 late and getting into gnomer was near impossible. Being in phase 3 now im able to just joing a group for st and learn
I'm glad you are liking it more than p2. I fully agree, it's weird how gatekeep-y gnomer felt. I didn't want to join any raid on my hunter because I didn't feel good enough. This raid is in a way better place. Part of it is that 20mans just..need bodies. Especially shamans, you will never hurt for a raid spot lol

yes it's all post nerf. i did my leveling and testing post nerf before making this video. only thing I haven't tested is 37 ashenvales, but several people specifically told me it works. back of my mind is thinking it won't but I'm almost to 37 on this alt. you got any alts near there to test that?
how many hours does it take from 1-50?
yooo icey its about 20-25 hours. not bad atm. cata is about 30-35 as well to 80. hope you are blasting in whichever version of the game you are playing
Do you have this guide in some kind of text? As a non native english person its a bit hard to follow.
get to 25 on horde or ally via questing. (restedxp has free routes) or boost if you have gold. -> 25-35 duskwood incursion spam. -> do ashenvale daily event in between for rep. -> 35 to 38 quest or do SM pugs -> 38 to 50 do ashenvale incursion (buy rep mount from ashenvale dailies)

its extremely hard or almost impossible to get until ashenvale groups without being level 40
you gotta make your own my friend i jumped into duskwood at 25 and just started inviting sad people and now we are happy
It's actually quicker if you turn in your Ashenvale quests and then meet up at bottom of inside portal stairs. While you are sharing with the rest of your group you will oftentimes get the escorts completed without wasting time waiting for them.
great tip, i will use that in the future. does it apply to all the zones you think?>
@@NOHITJEROME I imagine so, but the time I ran Duskwood incursions the escorts were broken so haven't tested elsewhere.
@@Sphynx00 hmmm, escorts shouldnt be broken i just think nobody runs duskwood at all so you have to do them all yourself

The gear from incursion is so good it's really to good to pass up 😂 I hated that I was pretty much forced to get it especially that it's also nice in PvP for the stam. But phase 1 and 2 I had no complaints I can't deny I am a little disappointed In this phase but hopefully next will be way better
The gear is so good that I think your entire leveling route should be designed around making sure you are honored by 50. It does suck that all your alts HAVE to do incursions though. Is that your only big complaint though? Enjoying the raid? I definitely am
@@NOHITJEROME I think the raid is good for a guild really fun content but for a pug raid maybe not so much 😔 I personally feel like not people who don't have a guild are playing the game on hard mode now before I feel like gnomer was pretty much perfect it was not to easy but a group could pug it hopefully some more balance changes come to the raid for the people who are struggling I know many people who guild are finding it hard to get 20 people since they had a ten man raid last season many guilds have folded because the content is to hard without a full 20 man guild run.
I just hit 25 on my gnome fire mage. I guess it's time to do incursions because I was not looking forward to doing these Wetlands quests.
100% time to do incursions. join a group as soon as you get to duskwood, if you don't find one make one. route is really easy once you do the run a few times. you will enjoy it

well, questing is still rewarding, but incursions are SO easy by comparison. also you can go into duskwood at 23 apparently, but finding a group might be tough
Unfortunately nobody wants level 37's in their incursion group so not sure how viable it is to start at 37.
hmmm it's true, you will have to make your own group or just wait until 40. just 35-40 feels really bad without incursions. maybe just some stv questing

I think it was only the collect quests took an xp hit, the others still reward full xp +25% from the discoverers delight boost
from 7.7k turn in to 3k so ya nerfed heavy
it got nerfed but these are xp rates post nerf. 100k duskwood 180-200k ashenvale. you can really blast it with a set route. duskwood though definitely demands a 5 man that can kill stuff especially the elites
yeah it's still the best way to level. even if the xp was worse (it's still insanely good) you have to get honored by 50 for full preraid bis. too good to pass up
@NOHITJEROME sounds good, hipefully I'll be able to get into on my alt. At the moment it's just a ganking ground for alliance. So hopefully they get bored soon and leave so I can get into it :)

umm the xp has been reduced by 50% in incursions from 7k to 3 k. also you can do incursions at 23 just with aa group albeit.
ya it's still really good xp per hour. you dont lose much downtime since everyone is doing it for the rep rewards

ya exactly, you need honored anyways so if the xp is a bit lower it doesn't actually matter. you 100% need honored to raid on a fresh char

This video is extremely unclear. Where do you find the mount. What the heck is an incursion quest? This is very confusing and vague.
hi abyss, really sorry for taking so long to get back to you. i hope you managed to solve this - the ashenvale mount comes from friendly rep with wsg and incursion quests come from the npc outside the incursion portals. though you might be doing some cata prepatch right now. hpal looks amazing if you plan to play :D
starting to think getting boosted is bis
it is bis but there aren't many boosters. SM cath is really slow and expensive. barely could find any customers myself so now i'm not sure if there are as many boosters available. maybe mob tagging? lol

37 but you may have to make your group. and you will want to get the mount from wsg rep, a few ashenvales would be good for that

yea no.... The Quest NPC has been camped by 20-30 PVPers for the last 2 days. It's pretty lame. nothing like getting ganked 4-5 times before turn in or pick up.
that's absurd, i really don't know how they fix the pvp griefing going on at the incursions and it'll get 10x worse as more people hit 60. might have to keep layering until you get a horde layer

Jerome makes great content although I have now unsubscribed and uninstalled this massive failure phase. Phase 1 was wonderful but those days are gone. Perhaps Jerome should look into Turtle Wow or Lothro content..

I like to quest in the world but the initial slip up by blizz has left quite a few rich and bored sweaty level 50 horde that enjoy ganking lower level Gnomes. SOD was really injured by this mistake and it Just doesn’t feel like an enjoyable journey any more. I have really enjoyed your content to this point though and will keep that subscription!
@@scottjonz8809 it was definitely a mistake, and it's also causing prices to be far too expensive. prices are high enough that it feels like we are playing wrath right now lol.

id argue nightmares use SOME part of my brain but not the kind i want. it's like the "stay with the group, don't get left behind" part. so they arent actually stress free

what's so nice about wow is that nothing is a must! you can choose if you want to do this! I prefer quests, running 5 man dungeons and elite quests out in the world!

The leveling from 40-50 in this phase may be the reason most people quit
40-50 is only 5 hours right now though, it's really not bad. 1-40 is the bigger problem
Probably, but at least in my case, it's the reason I'm even playing this phase. I wasnt planning to get a level 50.
I think that people thinking leveling is a problem is the real problem.

Trashtalks Hinterlands incursion farms but posts video about ridiculous farms in sunken temple with sehnanigans resets and zoning out way of clearing the whole dungeon.
well they seem insane right now, but only alliance are farming hinterlands. it's like the whole zone is off limits for horde
The incursions are straight ass on PvP realms lol try to level an alt when there is a raid of 50s camping the stairs
what do you think the best solution for this is? add guards near the quest npc and entrance? that's my best thought on it
@@NOHITJEROME I will always play on a PvP server and love open world PvP but I'm a firm believer of disabling it or like you said adding NPCs maybe around raid entrances & these incursions. When I leveled my main all was good and no one was fighting but now with the alts it seems to be kill on site.
Cba doing boring incursions. Good xp gains for bad gaming xp. Another chore, nope
they are as boring as you make them, i feel like its all about having a good route and cool people to do the incursions with. try making a duskwood pug and doing the kill quests and elites together, that's a lot more fun. the "no kill" ones are insanely stupid and boring and i wish it wasn't a thing

hi scotty, that is always the #1 leveling strategy since they'll add more XP boosts later lol. but if you take 45min to learn incursions they are very broken for all alts, I can teach you if you are crusader strike horde
