didn't think kulve taroth was a monster that really needed a guide, but at least that's some solid advice and gameplay here.
for anyone having issues with her, don't hesitate to slot in some fire resist or use the fireproof mantle. less damage taken also means less time spent healing, less chance to cart, more time spent dps-ing, higher chance to win.
attack boost is meaningless in iceborne endgame, and the 3rd point of crit boost don't increase your dps all that much either. better get the utility skills when you are learning.

For the most part I just wanted to see if a "guide" style video would get more views than my conventional speedruns which is why this is so hastily and poorly made. However, I want to clarify some things about the build, the main purpose of attack boost level 4+ isn't the attack boost itself, but the +5% affinity. Also Critical Boost 3 is absolutely required since it's practically your fundamental damage skill. If anything has to go, it's attack boost and peak performance in this build, in exchange for fire res, divine blessing, etc. I'd personally not recommend fire proof mantle unless one is really struggling that hard, but as you can see in this vid I just walked around her lava attacks and hit other body parts. Thanks for watching, did not expect this to blow up the way it has lol. Guess I should make a more proper video on Alatreon since he's my specialty.

@@vio1827 guess you got blessed by the algorithme, it happens.
of course, i'm just giving out advice for people who are struggling with their decos or really need to use comfort or defensive skills while learning.
you are perfectly right, by the end i had forgotten your build had peak performance. the 5% affinity of attack boost 4 is the good part indeed.
at some point we get really decent at the game and even when we play poorly our good habits save our asses, we easily forget how clueless or overwhelmed less experienced players can be. walking around the lava attacks is really easy to execute, but it can be harder to think about it beforehand and not lock yourself in animations at the wrong times.
now, about the crit boost and fireproof mantle. assuming you have 100% affinity (because crit boost can't get more efficient than this), crit boost 2 place your damage to 135% and crit boost 3 increase it to 140%, that is only a 3.7% in your dps. don't get me wrong, this is an absolutely amazing bonus when you're playing well and just wanna increase your damage output efficiently. but if we take the standpoint of a learning player, even one who plays decently, he'll pull out 20-30dps out of a raging brachi weapon (and i'm absolutely ecstatic when an sos i answer put out those numbers), in those range, crit boost 3 only make a difference of 1 to 1.5 damage per second. now if that player gets 20 fire res instead, he suddenly has to heal less often, never roll spam or eat nullberries for fire blight, and in the long run that result in way more than a 3.7% increase in the time he spend doing damage.
similar idea for the fireproof mantle.
also, being able to tank more hits means you can see more attacks, and gather more experience with addressing those attacks.

If you're talking about SOS players abstaining from damage skills for comfort then I agree because those guys... let's just say SOS is probably the only feature they know about the game. My hope is that this vid will help more of the in between skill level players get better at this fight, learning the general script and approach for LS, in which case that 4% will be helpful, since if they can solo her, they should be more than competent in a team. Kulve is an underrated matchup for LS, virtually everything she does can be ISS'd. Oh also this build comes with heatguard because of the armor skills, so fireproof mantle/more fire res would be hyper cope that I'd only prescribe to an SOS main.

I plan to make a more in depth guide for DB as well, hope that can help. But if you regularly play LS, definitely learn Foresight slash (FSS), it's the best way to get to red gauge.
