Older BMTH songs were like middle school for me so when I saw this I was like BITCH
I still get chills when it does the cut and Su sings acapella! It is insane how good her vocals are even with the amount of processing that was done to them (we all believe it was stylistic because we all know she doesn't need her vocals processed) in this song.
Yes, it was intentional to make her sound robotic.

he actually did a few other songs on the EP as well. it's pretty cool. I believe the others ( that I know of ) are 'Obey ft. Yungblud' and 'Parasite Eve'
You know, BABYMETAL has multiple songs that are totally in English. These songs include: “The One”, “Elevator Girl”, “From Dusk Til Dawn”, “IN THE NAME OF”, and “Future Metal”. The last two are kinda just intro songs though, but still, all English. “The One” and “Elevator Girl” have both Japanese and English versions.

I love this song SO much. I know both bands are actually pretty close since they've toured together, BMTH pretty much is BABYMETAL's big brothers in metal. also, a suggestion for BMTH, 'Parasite Eve' or 'Obey ft Yungblud'. they also did a hauntingly beutiful song with Amy Lee of Evanescence called 'One Day The Only Butterflies Left Will Be In Your Chest As You March Towards Your Death;'. ( long ass title, I know, but its a powerful and haunting song. also, can't go wrong with Amy Lee. ) All songs listed are from the same EP as 'Kingslayer ft. Babymetal'
I knew you'd get to this one eventually. Su's English singing seems to be catching up with her Japanese singing over time. Apparently Babymetal's first draft of their part was entirely in English and it was only after Oli from BMTH asked them to that they put some Japanese in there.
Also just wanted to say: thanks man, it was you that got me into Babymetal in the first place, and it's made the past several months just a bit easier. My daughter is really into them too now.
You're not a real BABYMETAL fan if you like them singing in english. I'm not a fan of Ollie or BMTH but I have to give him props on that one.

Great reaction and glad you were able to get around to it, better late than never. Oli has stated he wanted the song to feel like the Matrix and I think Su's voice perfectly fits as the voice in the machine, plus she's now a virus, it comes with every copy of this song, that's why you keep returning Babymetal reactions, no escape now.

I'm not a biggest fan of BMTH but I heard their entire last album because of Babymetal and a couple of songs from then like Shadow Moses when came out so many years ago, I like it and I also like Metal Gear Solid (that song is related (, I guess that might be a reason why they work with MGS videogame creator, Hideo Kojima and they made another good song called "Ludens" wich is included in Kojima's last videogame Death Stranding.
Anyway I bet there might some other cool songs fans know better than me, looking for another reaction, you're hilarious af 😂

BMTH opened for them once and they became friends. BabyMetal wrote their part as all English but BMTH asked them to sprinkle in some Japanese.

Honestly I'm not really into BMTH, but I hugely appreciate the amount of video game related songs they make. If it's Ollie making those decisions, then he's got great taste in games. And Su's English is getting pretty good. I know l's and r's usually sound switched when Japanese people speak English, but her l's are really starting to sound like proper l's. She's come a long way. 🤘💪👍
