Experienced hiker call- knowing when you’re done and your remaining energy is used to get back safely. Beautiful day and great footage. Always great seeing you out there.
I tried the traverse 2 weeks ago. I turned back between 2 and 3 when I couldn't find the route for the downclimb. I went back last week and did 10-7, and today I'm going to section 6-4. Maybe hit 3 along the spine depending on how it goes. Thanks for showing me the route from 10-mile to 3. It felt gnarlier when I was standing on it.
You made the best decision of course. Always thought about doing this but no where near the conditioning needed. Great to see it in this video. Do something like 9, 10 and Crystal. Noce AMAZING work!
I'm glad to show that everyone needs to make wise choices. I wanted to push on and it would have been a slog, but I would have gotten 9 and 10 in. Yet, I would have put myself in serious risk. The right choice is sometimes the tough one!
wow this one is just Full of great views and crazy edges! i guess you finally met your match with peaks 9 and 10 (for now) / better safe than sorry, double the miles is no small undertaking... im sure you'll be back to get it eventually/ awesome video thanks for taking us with you
So glad you enjoyed this video. One of my favorite sayings: intelligence has its limitations, but stupidity is infinite. Better to have some intelligence on the peaks than none!
Great job! Well, I would say that you should just go to Breckenridge and hike up to Peak 8 and traverse to Peak 10, and then call it a completed traverse.
Good call indeed. I suppose conquering 8 peaks in 1 day lessened or eliminated any "summit fever" that might cloud one's judgement. Imagine being caught on peak 9 or 10 in rain/hail/snow completely gassed with many miles left to safety. Yikes.
Thanks for the video. Nice work. I have some story's about TenMile. Can you tell me if you drove up to the trailhead at the old broken log cabin or did you walk up to there from Frisco?
Great video! One noob question, if I may. I also just watched your Crestone Needle/Peak video where you mentioned the weather on the summit. What weather app do you use that gives you this data?
Also was in Brek this past time saw 4 moose then the last time last year also saw 4. Gets me curious do you ever have the luck to stumble upon those more docile animals such as moose or bear or Mt lions. Have u seen a mt loin while hiking?
Good question Cole. I've encountered bears and moose. Usually they're more afraid of us so I don't get them on video. Yet I did get a Moose on video (partially) on my upcoming video of Kings Peak. I saw a mountain lion at 2am during my Chicago Basin Grand Slam hike. That wasn't particularly fun.
Thanks for another good hike and especially for knowing to end the day.
It was most difficult Larry!
You just are such a badass! I had to close my eyes a few times watching! Nice job. Keep hiking!
Watch my Maui Sea to Summit video. You won't close your eyes because it's Hawaii!

Thank you Clint. Like many of us, I want to push beyond measures. I made the right call on this hike.

It is challenging. I was happy to do some of those downclimbs with a fellow hiker.
Peek'n today. Nice video man.
Thank you!

If you keep filming in my backyard you are liable to run into me ;-) Great video as always professor.
I hope so Aaron! :-)
Great video, as always!
Thank you so much and glad you enjoyed the adventure.
I'm so envious and enjoy your awesome videos!
Thank you for the kind words Bill!
from 14:00 onward gave me them presi vibes. Good call brandon. Mountains will always be there!
We can always see similarities in the mountains to those close to us. You've been crushing in NE this summer and fall.
Great video! Been missing your videos, thanks for doing you and be safe. Always un predictable out there
More videos to come!
Spectacular hike! Thank you so much for taking us along!
Thanks for being a part of the journey!
Thank You for your inspiration. Our first time in Colorado this week. We completed ✅ Huron Peak and Mount Elbert.
That's fantastic and congrats on your summits. It's been a great week to get outside.
Gorgeous views! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for coming along!

Always a pleasure Kirk!
Wow…amazing
I thought so too!
Awesome video..love your adventures
Awe! Thank you :-)
@@FoorTrek you're welcome...so amazing
You made it look easy man. I eyed that every day while I was living in Breck but never got the courage up to attempt. Congrats!
It IS intimidating right? The peaks and mileage just add up and takes much longer than nearly anyone can anticipate.

I like your thinking Scott.
You are a great example to the community! Great call my friend. I guess we will have to do it together! 🤪
I really wanted peaks 9 and 10 Mike, yet I knew safety is always first. The right call was made. We’ll just have to try next year!

That was my fear as well. Even on the summit at peak 8, I knew it was pushing the time and thunderstorms could come up at any minute.
Thanks for the video. Nice work. I have some story's about TenMile. Can you tell me if you drove up to the trailhead at the old broken log cabin or did you walk up to there from Frisco?
Oh I didn't drive to the broken cabin. I started in Frisco.
Great video! One noob question, if I may. I also just watched your Crestone Needle/Peak video where you mentioned the weather on the summit. What weather app do you use that gives you this data?
I use the NOAA website and get the specific summit forecast. Also, the 14ers app has a weather section. Good question!

@@FoorTrek wow! Yes the moose are so fascinating l!!I would dye too see a my lion! Can’t wait, so the moose will be in the next video?
Thank goodness the cairns you encounter are not the same karens you find down in the cities.
Fair point!
Coooool
Facts….not printer
How many liters of water did you bring?
This is on my to do list, but all 10 peaks is intimidating! Glad to see 8 is a good option. Great video! What was your final mileage / gain / time?
Total mileage was 15. Gain was around 7,000 feet, and my time from Frisco to Breckenridge was 8 hours.
