- The Big 3 has plenty of antagonists, but which one is the best? Haben's going to be ranking the 10 best antagonists/villains in the Big 3! Obvious spoiler warning if you aren't caught up to anything in the manga, because I will be comparing both anime and manga!

Pain arc was before I knew Mc was invincible. It felt like it would never end and not in a bad way.. when I was younger it felt dreadful to see this man just stomping everyone. When Naruto finally got the chance to go berserk directly on him i remember screaming and with clammy hands hoping pain would die for the the things he did

Beyakuya, Kenpachi, Mayuri, etc were villains too. People include itachi as a villain, but they leave out the soul reapers. They were villains too. 👍
For me aizen is the top villain from big 3 and not including yhwach in this list is such a let down for me. Overall good video
I love Oro for being more a scientist than a fighter. Sure he is strong but his main goal always was to get more knowledge which makes him rly dynamic and unique among the other Naruto villains.

Now that I watched so much content about the Big 3 i think its finally time to read Bleach. This community is just so awesome that i want to understand as much as possible. Bleach just isn't big in Germany were i live so different from the other shonen anime i totaly missed the train but its never to late right?
Oh for sure you should get on that! It's a really great story and yeah the community is great due to how big it is.

Great vid. I suggest the next vids may be about Dragon ball and it's appeal on the big three, as in artwork, but mainly on the story and themes? For example the transformations, change of tone... there is so much to talk about, but so little content in this matter 🧐

For me personally Akainu should be on here for sure. Thanks to the extensive world Oda has created we understand how a man like him could exist and given the dangers the pirates pose to civilians we can also understand why they would see him as a hero. But for the story as a whole besides Blackbeard he is probably the only antagonistic force in the series that can hold a candle to Luffy when it comes to willpower and conviction.

Doflamingo isn't even as menacing as someone like Kenpachi Zaraki, let alone Aizen, Yhwach, Grimmjow, Vasto Lorde Ichigo, etc just to mention some characters from Bleach alone, let alone the literal most menacing characters in Anime....

For me as I'm a big fan of philosophie Itachi poses a big question. Can u be a good man if u murdered so many people? Does ur reasoning outwheigh ur crimes and if so who decides that?
One thing is certain for me and that is that he isn't a good brother for Sasuke. Yes he loved him and had good reasons for his actions but i just don't believe that u can under any circumstances be considered a good brother if u slaughtered the whole family and leave him to fend for himself most of his life.
In a way u can say Itachi is the greatest shinobi ever cause he without hesitation sacrificed everything for the good of the village but that is just it. When it came down to it he chose the village over Sasuke and even though that doesn't make him a bad person in my eyes it makes him most certainly a bad brother.

@@shounencast Sure. What i love about it and for that matter also One Piece is the fact that there is no objective good or evil. Just people trying to reach their goals and every last one of them seeing themselfs as the heroes of their own story however missguided they maybe. I think there is almost no character in these series who sees himself as evil apart from Doffy maybe.
@@matthiasrauert8397Itachi himself doesn't put himself as a good brother or character when fighting Kabuto he admited his mistake he should've told sasuke or could have avoided the massacre but he didn't because he was inbetween the village and clan conflict at what 13? So he isn't a good character but certainly the one of the most well written character in Naruto

@@shounencast I found Naruto to be an unbearable slog to sit through. Somehow 1000 episodes of awfully paced one piece episodes is more interesting than the first 100 episodes of shipuden. Worst by far in the big 3 imo

For Villains
Naruto: Kishimoto writes villains like none Zabuza Orochimaru Itachi Obito The whole Akutsuki Danzo etc
Madara's execution was rushed and felt underwhelming but still the hype the philosophy the whole persona of him destroying everything was so great he still stands in one of the best villains in anime
Bleach:
Aizen that's all nothing about him is bad he's just a perfect villain Ulquiorra his nihilistic philosophy really is amazing Grimmjow that guy is just him The whole Espada etc I didn't like the quincy's and Ywach tbh
One piece:
Aside from Doflamingo I really didn't like any of the villains in one piece they really are felt like Goofy and jokers
Dude whole world govt is villian here n what do you expect when Our main protagonist is anti hero in One Piece world. Akainu, Crocodile, Katakuri, Kaidou live up to our expectations.

And Luffy ain't an anti hero
Gon grom hxh is the perfect example of an Anti hero at the start he was just luffy Naruto Goku goofy fun loving kid but at the chimera ant arc he really revealed his dark side when killing Pitou his even Killua a cold blooded assassin was scared by him and his ideology that's a anti hero that being said I love one piece but villains aren't the strongest aspect in the series

Naruto villians are overrated i thought it is known that bleach has the best antagonist (till now) of the big 3 but maybe not in every community
To simply say why naruto villians arent that good is to understand that every villian after orochimaru was the same, broken character who got manipulated from another broken character who got manipulated and so ony from pain to madara who still got manipulated from black zetsu which gave away the originality from the characters and cmon itachi isnt a villian he doesn't belong to the list
You've completely misunderstood the villains in naruto. They aren't all the same, and to boil down each of their respective character arcs and reasons for doing what they are doing to just "they're all broken characters who got manipulated by someone else" is incredibly disingenuous and frankly unfair. This isn't even mentioning the fact that you haven't taken into consideration why they are written this way. They are written this way to help push the themes of the show.
None of the characters are even remotely the same.

Itachi isn't even an antagonist, he's a not even a deuteragonist....
He was definitely an antagonist for majority of the series, just technically not a villain.

I agree character conclusion is very important and a handful of the Naruto vial is get snubbed. But really you prefer conclusion over journey? (Also I love Ulquiorra’s character conclusion!)

First of all Aizen Lacks a lot . The parallel, depth, Backstory, dynamic, and Lot Compared to the Likes of Best Anto In big three .

I’ve fully caught up to all 3 of the big three, which is why I made this video. And I agree manipulative villains like Johan and Griffith are very unique and written extremely well. But I think Aizen falls a little short compared to certain villains. Including the Naruto villains
