I was thinking that too and I was also smiling they would protect Brooke that’s for sure as far as the boys are concerned she is mum and always will be ❤
So beautiful. We love to watch your family find joy in every aspect of life. Your other farm was so very unique and beautiful. Now we are treated to watching you make this farm just as unique and beautiful too. Your joy is contagious. Thank you for sharing.
The single gate would be perfect in the entry of the side garden where it would be visible from the front of the house. No vines on either of the gates as they are beautiful as they are (with a little cleaning and black paint) because they would match the house. Love ❤️
The dogs following you around was precious. Holly with her “baby”, the boys looking at you adoringly and Foxy guarding the whole area❤❤❤. You have excellent ideas for the gates and I have no doubt it will be perfect. You inspire me😍🥰😘💖
Hi Brooke, it was great to see you out and about, just remember to not overdo. I’ve lived with two autoimmune diseases for most of my 66 years! My best advice coming from my many years of working, as a nurse in the ER and ICU, raising my daughter and son as a single mother is remember to get lots of rest. I do know taking it easy as a homeschooler and farmers other half is exceedingly difficult, but will help you recover faster. Jason and your videos have lifted my heart, inspired me to make more time to get outside. Your videos have really been a Godsend for me! I love watching you both interact with each other and also interacting with your animals, the love and joy is wonderful to see and is sorely missed in today world. Thank you again for sharing yourselves, your farm and your animals. ❤️🙏
WOW! Those gates are beautiful! You look and sound so good,Brooke. But your ideas on the back garden are fantastic. I’m excitedly looking forward to seeing you and Jason accomplish your dreams!
Those gates are beautiful. If they are covered with roses you will not see the intricacies of the design. Those gates are a huge statement by themselves. Love roses just not for those gates.
Sounds like outstanding planning!! It will be beautiful. Brooke, you do look like you are feeling a little better!!! Don't over do youself! Love Darlene Groseth here in INDIANA ❤
I have never seen folks take raw property and manifest such a huge vision for it like you two have in such a short time. On a more mundane note, I would use "rust converter" on the gates. It's a liquid you just brush on OVER the rust. It converts all rust to a dark, hard surface that will never rust again. It's cheap and so much easier than trying to remove the rust. You can then paint over it with or leave as is.
Hey Brooke, Here's a thought, you might want to check around your area for a powder coater. They could sandblast the gates and powder coat them in any color you want. Powder coating is applied dry and baked on for a long lasting and nearly maintenance free finish that will be beautiful for many years. The last time I had something powder coated, it wasn't that expensive. Good luck and God Bless!
We did this with an old pot bellied stove. The stove was free. When we had it cleaned and color baked on, we were offered a lot more than what we had invested.
Lakebum, my thoughts exactly! With Brooke's health she should avoid such 'air' if she tried to tackle the rust. It would save hours and hours and provide employment and interest for some local craftsman. The look would be fabulous! I also think those gates would really be better used out back by their Alabama garden as they would compliment the blackened logs perfectly and make the area very chic. May I suggest Brooke a more rustic and whimsical look around the bee garden. I'm sure you will dream of something else or find it on marketplace. Love how her creativity is oozing out as she matures! It was there all along and showed in her other property too! You are doing great Brooke and very inspirational!!!
Great find Brooke! The gates are beautiful, and wherever you decide to put them will look awesome. You look really well and I hope you continue to get better and while you may not have the physical strength for some things, you have a good vision and designer's eye to make your farm a beautiful place! Love and prayers to you all!
Hi Brooke, These beautiful gates will be perfect! I also would love to see them in the Alabama potage garden! They would be stunning. Powder Coating is a really smart idea. All the chemicals that you’re around in staining the barn, etc., probably haven’t helped your immune system any. Also finding something whimsical for the Bee Garden sounds really fun.
The gates will add the perfect finishing touch to your garden. They’re absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t help but laugh seeing Holly walking around with her toy in her mouth. Then hearing the toy squeak in the background. Your animals are so cute and adorable, whom hit the jackpot when they joined your Coghill Farm Family. ❤️🤗 Sheila T
Love those gates!! I'll agree they will look awesome around that garden❤❤ with the boxes being black, those gates are so going to pop! They'll complete it for sure. Love y'all! God Bless
Brooke, I am so excited about your new finds for the farm! The instant I saw the smaller gate, the protégé garden was the 1st thing to come to mind ❤ I know iron is a lot more upkeep, but I just love them & think they will be a beautiful addition to your farm ❣️ You're amazing & I just love your tenacity. 🫂
Brooke, you’re quite the visionary! I loved every idea you proposed. The wrought iron gates will be so perfect for y’all’s place. I’m looking forward to that part of y’all’s dream to come true! ❤❤❤
It's going to be beautiful, Brooke. I'm so happy that you seem to be feeling better. It was a joy to see the dogs all hanging around with you, and Holly is hilarious with her toy.
Oh my goodness Brooke. Your down time ha brought some amazing things for the farm. There are so many things I love about the family, farm, and animals and one of them is the positivity and taking things as they come. You are invaluable with all you do even though I know you want to be out physically working - your brain is consistently bringing all the good things. Y’all be good. 🥰
Brooke, What a great find! You look good and I pray you continue to be well. I love how Rocky and Bandit come to you for a hand caress from their momma.❤❤
It never ends. Brooke, you tell us you’re not crafty (which you’ve disproved this holiday season). You are creative. The gates are worth the drive to create the beauty you envision.
I bought similar gates but mine are more gothic. I just wire brushed them and used a good rust primer before painting them. they still look pretty good eight years later
You can get a rust converter for the gates. You paint it on and it turns the rust black and stops it. Then you can paint over it. You can use the converter for tools, also.
Y'all are amazing. I'm glad to see Brooks imagination taken off. I wished I had some for the drive that you two have. I live in Mississippi and I saw those gates on market place. Good job getting them. They will look great either place you put them. Glad you are feeling better.
Those gates are BEAUTIFUL..what a great find! I can't wait to see where you decide to put them. You are so lucky with your marketplace finds. Glad to see you feeling better..I hope they sort out your health issues. ❤
Good morning ❤ .. good night from me in Australia 🇦🇺 it’s 11.15 pm here . I love all of your videos Brooke , praying for you to get great news with your health issues.😊
I just love how excited you are for your farm! You'❤❤ve got the rest of us excited as well! I also love the journey y'all are taking us on. I'm too old and broken to do what y'all do now days so I'm living vicariously through you. This is such a beautiful story unfolding in front of us! I can't thank you enough for taking us all on this journey with you. I hope someday y'all make this into a book and a movie. How cool would that be? God bless y'all. ❤

You already have an air compressor, all you need is the special little bucket with a hose that comes out from the bottom, a bag of sand, and the nozzle that spits out the sand . Hi Brooke and Jason. What a find those gates will fit in wherever you put them. Can’t wait to see wherever they go. Enjoy your Sunday take care God bless 🙏💕
Fantastic video and what a wonderful farm you have. I sure hope Mary Carl wants to stay on the farm because what you are building is not just for one generation, but many to come! I love all your ideas! I think you are going to have to find more beautiful gates. Lol!
How exciting for you guys. I can't wait to see your visions. I noticed something today I hadn't before now. Bandit and Rocky are huge. I thought they were big guys but when they sat there in front of you , look at the size of them. Holy mackerel lol gianormous. :D

Always classy your ideas Brooke and Jason . Those gates are so beautiful for the fenced in plan for the potager. With roses its going to be quiet a creation. Flowers for the bees what a sight to see. ❤ yall
Wowsers! All the gates are very impressive! I had a friend that found a busted portion of an old metal gate. He set it in concrete and utilized it as a trellis. It was beautiful. Of course your gates will be functional so that's even better.
Oh,Brooke this is so great. We had a neighbor give us Aluminum 6 ft high fencing (12, 8ft sections) we were so happy to expand or goat and pig cage. I am so happy for you all. I remember the feeling. Pluse My kids put them up. Lv and Prayers to all. Merry Christmad.
Awesome find Brooke....wouldn't it be wonderful to have a wrought iron fence in a scalloped style to enclose the protégé garden utilizing the 12 ft. Gates all done in black. I've with ya girl, great ideas...love y'all place and it just keeps getting better and better. Y'all be good!
Those are great finds, Brooke. You are a visionary. Awesome ideas. Coq Hill Farm is going to be the jewel of Alabama. You and Jason are trail blazers for future farms. God bless you both with long life to accomplish all your plans and to delight us with the finishing products. Thank you.❤❤❤
Brooke, what a great find! Gates would look great around your potager garden! The black gates would look lovely with the dark bed borders and the house trim. Apiary garden is another great idea! Can't wait to see what you do!😊
Absolutely gorgeous gates!! Consider getting them powder-coated for long lasting protection and beauty! It is less expensive than you might think, at least in my area. And, there are a wide variety of colors to choose from.
Absolute AWESOME find, Brooke. WOW. So much of your personal touches are what make Cog Hill Farm so gorgeous, well planned and perfect for your home space. Well done ! With the final fencing now visible and getting done you can spend more time on these projects that will so grace the farm with loveliness.
I love the gates that you found, they are really going to beautify the protege garden. You are always finding great deals! Have a great day!PS I couldn’t wait to find out what you brought home
Brooke, you and Jason are visionaries. You are always thinking about the future and how you can make it better and more sustainable and beautiful for your family and your future. Awesome!
I love that all of your ideas and designs and always so tasteful. There isn’t anything that is messy or chaotic. It all is just pleasing to the eye. ❤❤
Brooke no matter what you do with the gates they will be a nice asset to your farm. Loved seeing Rocky and Bandit as they are a great find as well. Wishing you and yours a wonderful week ahead. God Bless for what y'all do in bringing happiness to others.
The gates are beautiful, and buying them in Mississippi I’m sure you got an amazing deal on them !! Great find Brooke I think you have to be the best finder on marketplace for best deals 👏👏👏👏!! Y’all have a great day ! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈🎄🥗
Those gates are fantastic! Wire brush the rust off, then spray paint them. They will be beautiful. A perfect addition to a protégé garden. The perfect place to sit and relax. Brooke you are amazing! 🙂🎄
Hello Brooke those gates are just so beautiful. You were so lucky to have found them. Your property is shaping up to be a show place for sure. Love you all, God bless and take care
Brooke, its fantastic to see you feeling better. And don't you love when you find a treasure that is in need of a new home. Bless you family and Merry Christmas
Brooke, the gates are an amazing find and your ideas are great. It’s wonderful to see you both so excited. Merry Christmas blessings to you and your beautiful daughter 🎄🎄🎄🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰
Good day Brooke you certainly have an eye for a bargain ,I love those gates ,the whole property is looking fantastic ,you both have such a beautiful way of making things just work ,I can't wait to see all the roses in bloom one of my favourite flowers ,god bless continued prayers ❤
The gates are gorgeous and will be gorgeous no matter where you use them. Brooke, the boys love you so much. They had to have your attention. Remember, they were such tiny puppies when they were discarded-and you rescued them and then saved Rocky’s life! Super Brooke to the rescue. ❤
Hi Brooke and Jason. Gates a great find! There was a product I had once (a chemical) that you paint on the rusted part of the metal and it turns it back into metal, then you can paint it. Don’t remember what it was called but you may look into such a product. Know whatever you decide will work out .
I like the idea of the metal gates being used for the protogea etc gardens best. For the bee area maybe use wooden fencing with wire and still continue the climbing roses. It would be easier to see all the other floral plantings etc there.
I love the way the dogs are guarding you , gave me a big smile seeing them doing their job.❤
I was thinking that too and I was also smiling they would protect Brooke that’s for sure as far as the boys are concerned she is mum and always will be ❤

Yes, I was going to tell them this as well. I like the comment about it being “bad” air...never thought of it from that perspective.

Those gates look great I can’t wait to see where you decide to put them 🧡😊
I think y’all should use that smaller gate as the opening to the run for the silkies coop. I think it would go nice with how their coop looks and all!
Holly is fun to watch
Such great ideas! Can't wait to see them being done!
I like the idea of the metal gates being used for the protogea etc gardens best. For the bee area maybe use wooden fencing with wire and still continue the climbing roses. It would be easier to see all the other floral plantings etc there.
BROOKE I love the fence it's going to be gorgeous where ever you put it. Love love love it
Your “visions” are amazing, Brooke. ❤
