Hi Beth, I bought Vegan pastry. I finished baking. Pastry taste bland as hell. My turnovers where hard like cardboard. Where did I go wrong?

You're great Beth! I'm a 25 year old guy who's recently taken up cooking for friends and family and you are my go to inspiration! My girlfriend was SHOCKED when I made her some French macaroons which are her favorite. Keep up the great work! Can't wait to try this recipe using the apples from the tree in my backyard.

How long can I keep frozen puff pastry apple in the freezer. I know Beth says overnight but can I prepare in advance and keep for instance 1 month before actually cooking them.?
They’re in the freezer right now, I’ll be heating them up when I wake up :) will update

This is similar to the _apple strudels_ we had as children back in the ‘90s, growing up in Europe. Temperate countries love pastries that incorporate apples, that old dear we cannot stand to eat raw but love cooked.

I love it! I like how it is also low sugar. Now I'm not one but to be like oh em gee, that's a lot of sugar, heck my great grandmother lived to her mid-90s and she used sugar, lard and butter, but it's great if you want something sweet but not too sweet. Lol. I'm guessing if you don't want a glaze you could sprinkle with cinnamon sugar!

I made these, and they were absolutely delicious! Skipped the frosting, just topped it with with vanilla icecream!
I would have to make my own pastry because there's no way I'm gonna buy just to make three! This stuff is pretty expensive to buy.
I used Pepperidge Farm puff pastry many times.
I just found out that it don't contain real butter, am so disappointed. No wonder after taste is kind a strange. I decided to buy Trader Joe's all butter puff pastry from now on.
I've made these several times since seeing your video and they are always a HUGH hit! Instead of homemade filling I cheat and buy canned apple pie filling but it works great! Thank you for taking the time to create this video.

Way to much pastry in compared with the filling. Try rolling it out a bit first. Not a fan of a big dough-ball in every bite. :)

Three things I seldom peel - tomatoes, potatoes and apples because according to my late grandmothers and mother, there's a lot of nutrients in the skin [and it's easier]. My mom made puff pastry dough back in the day before store bought, I tried it once and NEVER again!
I HATE raisins out of the box but they're ok when cooked up, guess that makes me half converted, any reason blueberries wouldn't work as an alternative?
