Panorama documentary on HSBC The Bank of Tax Cheats (2015)
Panorama reveals how Britain's biggest bank helped some of its wealthiest customers dodge tax. With Tax Evasion at the centrer, HSBC knew clients were breaking the law - so why didn't the bank report them and why haven't the tax evaders been prosecuted? Reporter Richard Bilton tracks down the tax cheats with secrets to hide, and the man who was in charge of the bank.

"Stoke lost two nil" LOL. This Panaroma guy is funny.
HSBC, a british bank with 2 Chinese cities in its name is basically untouchable.
Love this! Their credit card providers that bank with HSBC are trying to demonstrate that they are “holier than thou”. They shut down your card if it’s being used excessively abroad. Have they gone after the big players? - NO. Only the little guys, (it’s easy to shut them down to “show you’re being above board”).
‘Capital One’ are good with this tactic!
And Balfour Beatty is stealing accounts and identities and property and patents and inheritance and ancestry records and counseling and medical and military records.
I don’t blame them! Why would anyone want to hand over their hard earned money to be spaffed away? If everyone was honest, they’d do exactly the same thing if they could! Just look at the uproar when the ‘working people’ were asked to pay 1% more on their NI contributions…didn’t last long!
there is people who don’t like what the government will do or has done which why they evade taxes it’s not because of greed because they don’t support the government
And this propaganda show wants to make a big deal of it, and tell you that tax evaders are evil people
"Anything you can say to defend what happened?" [waits] "No word." (lol)
Lets be honest nobody pays tax willingly and we all want to pay as little as possible, goverment corruption bothers me a lot more
We want to pay fair taxes but hold it accountable too. Not donate money to the government.
Know this is my Kinda bank. I would be a loyal customer.
Don,t forget there decades of profit-taking from the drugs trade

With everything going on right now, the best decision to be on any creative man's heart is having a profitable investment strategy.
Investing is the code for having a successful financial life, investing with the right expert would free you from modern financial slavery.
Investing in crypto now is really cool especially with the current price in the market for now
Even with the current dip in the market I'm still glad can smile back at my portfolio of $32,500 built from my weekly trade, all thanks to my advisor fergus Waylen
@@betheluktu7647 I definitely agree this current DIP is a huge opportunity to buy the DIP and also high volatility to yield more profit for day traders
I wanted to trade crypto but got confused by the fluctuations in price
@@martinmomu9141 The fluctuations of the market only affect those that hodl coins, but traders makes money on both sides, when it's bearish they go short when it's bullish they go long... The best strategy to use in trading crypto is to trade with a professional, like Fergus waylen he understand the market quite well, that way maximum profits are guaranteed.

Great video. Ambush journalism is quite annoying however.
Very nice technique
They need undercovers to work in these banks at the Canary Wharf for their greed. At the same time their stocks(parts) and shares brokers need more regulation.
Brexit makes perfect sense now. The European Savings Directive not longer applies to UK tax evaders. Just get on a plane, open and off shore account and HMRC will be none the wiser.
@Kyle Gutierrez it's a scam
@jermaine gayle ok. That sounds like an investment. Where do I start?
Fantastic! If I had the money, I’d do exactly the same!
Sad to see criminals walking free and a journalist is begging for a word with them while what should be happening is a police team throwing these schmucks in jail and throw the keys in the ocean.
This all shows our western world with all its values has become an empty vase. The public doesn't even care. Its heart wrenching.

Banksters cheat? i'm shocked...I am.....honest.................this time for sure....
It is asanine to point out HSBC or another bank for that matter. It is, the country of Switzerland that stinks to high hell. Blood money, despot money, tax evaders et. al. are ALL afforded protection by this tiny little country that allows any financial institution in its jurisdiction, to set its stall out. As of year 2000 estimates were of over 1 Trillion USD of offshore money stashed in Switzerland. No one knows the true extent, as information is almost impossible to come by. How else can a country with absolutely no natural resources, have one of the highest living standards in the world otherwise? Name a dictator dead or alive, a cartel leader, an oligarch, and they ALL have money there; for one simple reason: the Swiss are you could say, anthropologically gifted with total reliability when it comes to holding your money. Would you trust a banker in Cyprus, or Switzerland? A banker in Mauritius ? A banker say in the Bahamas? The European Union allows the Swiss to continue as long as the United States does not baulk too much...and it has in the past. The same applies to Luxembourg...I mean for god sakes, there is an airport in Luxembourg, where a private jet can fly to, that has an onsite multi acre storage facility that is not considered as being onshore. So, going after HSBC is a drop in an otherwise ocean of money in that little country.
Not my bank.
every bank try to keep the money "secret" - if you found such an info, u should go to police, not to RUclips
I noticed the reported touched several people, good thing he did not do that to me or he would have a broken arm. While I am glad HSBC is being investigated reporters must learn that freedom of the press does NOT include breaking the laws themself.
Absolutely it does. He has touched yours too and you can't do anything.

Not saying I support people who break the law but I would be miffed if these idiots showed up in my face talking about my business on television. Not sure what they were expecting. But none of this is shocking. 🙄
why the hell do these so called 'investigative' reporters always open with 'can i talk to you or may i ask about..' and bang on regardless, when the answer is "NO!" what is this power they poses, where does this entitled privilege come from that grants them leave to persist in their harassment, shoving microphones and cameras in everyone's faces without consequence?
Most of these journalists are poncey posh people who never worked a hard day's work in their life.
