True story, when I was a kid in the 90s my family took me to Williamsburg (we are west coast). During a tour of one of the houses the guide pointed out the “servants’ entrance” in the kitchen. My grade school self, genuinely confused, said out loud, “they had servants AND slaves?”
@@MuneebRasool they had slaves for what servants do today, “house slaves”. The “servants’ entrance” was actually the slave entrance - but at the time, it was considered rude to be so forthcoming about the colonial era, so they called it the servants’ entrance to downplay or just hide the fact that they had slaves. They were too cowardly to admit the truth. Remember this about conservatives. Facts don’t care about MY feelings, but facts bend over backwards for THEIRS.
Men of their times. Some transcended it; some not. Washington freed every last person at his passing. ☝🏼 Planned and arranged with air tight legal documentation.

Keeping a bunch of slaves your whole life and then freeing them once you can no longer personally benefit from them doesn't really seem that great Like, you could have freed them at literally any point prior instead of exploiting them for years Hell, being the President of the US, you could also just have abolished slavery if you actually had a problem with it, instead of supporting the legal institution for the economic benefit. You really only had to talk to a slave at any point in history to know what was wrong with it, if "I don't want to be enslaved, other people probably don't either" isn't something you can reach on your own

Nooo! That doesn't fit our narrative of every white guy back then being a complete monster! Jokes aside, enslaving your nieces and nephews is still kinda messed up 😂
@@JohnSoh How naive are you to think that Jefferson had any significant say in the goings on of a plantation that was owned by his entire family? His family was huge, there was at least 10 jefferson men at monticello alone when Eston Hemmings was conceived. TJ himself was actually a staunch abolitionist, even going so far as to pro-bono represent freed slaves in the courts in 2 Virginia suits. Definitely did way more to oppose slavery than you ever will in your entire life, seeing as your pfp proudly flies the flag of a nation that brazenly engages in one of the most brutal forms of slavery in the modern world: conscription.
Back when the Union was fighting a war to free the black slaves in America, in Europe especially Russia Jews were being treated about as bad as slaves. NOBODY cared nobody did a thing about it. To this day Jews are still fighting to get the respect they deserve. In the mean while African Americans are still crying about something that happened a century and a half ago. The "No I'm from right now, what're you doing out?" bit killed me when I watched this on Netflix

“I was paralyzed with white guilt.” 😂💀
I can relate as I too look like the guy who says “let’s see the body cam footage before we jump to conclusions.”
I mean the Jackson 5 dad didn't free his until they were grown.
Ouch😅
This comment deserves more praise

He went to West Point, $10 says he knows that, but it’s a joke.

Shane is a great standup but I’m not tryna watch any podcast appearances or that awful Netflix show
Everyone finds him funny… I just don’t. 🤷🏽♂️
Clear indication you lack a sense of humor…lol
Maybe... You are gay
He is a tool

Ok "Ron Mexico" lol
You really needed to get that off your chest huh. The difference is he sells out shows while you sit on your ass at home.
Care to elaborate?
You know whats crazy is we actually believe this "history" they fed us.
Seeing Wolverine laugh to Shane’s set is hilarious… lol nice
They left out the part where he says "he freed me"
He was not getting enough laughs for how funny this was.
yup
Anyone know what special this is from?

Well hello suhhh ! 😂🤣😅
What a perfectly clean gig well done lol
this was too funny 🤣🤣
Lose the subtitles
He won the victim war
Thomas Jefferson? No. His brother, a drinker who hung out with slaves when they were partying is the most likely father of those children.
