You know who my second favorite character in Bocchi The Rock is? Futari. You rarely see the uncensored, psychopath-level cruelty of a child that has yet to develop the mental capacity for empathy captured so perfectly.
Oh yeah she's entertaining af. The absolute contrast between Bocchi and Futari, and how Bocchi gets bullied by her 5 year old sister so much lmao. I really like that she's actually super supportive of Bocchi though, just that she's completely unfiltered as a child.

Personally Ryo became one of my most relatable characters ever. Also I really like, how they tackle that being an introvert doesn't mean you have social anxiety. I hate when I say that I'm an introvert , some people assume that I'm "shy" or some bs.
Yup absolutely, a lot of anime put a very strong correlation between introverts and social anxiety so it's refreshing to have Ryo as a direct comparison to Bocchi

Bocchi really has taken this season by absolute surprise, the production is so free and innovative in how they do their scenes, they have struck a really great balance in using comedy to push the ideas of the show and showcase them, we get both fun as hell moments, but also emotive ones, inspirational ones, heck, episode 5 was amazing due to how the direction and character acting grabs your attention and build up an eruption of emotions once bocchi goes all out in their audition performance, its relatable on different levels, be it ryo, kita, bocchi, nijika, one can have part of any of them and thats what makes it all the better, its a level of relatable that you can see in reality and makes one connect more with the show and root for it, also, cry in your dreams CSM, bocchi will release an album and this will contain 14 tracks total, where you at CSM with new ED each episode (im joking, dont put me t hrough a chainsaw, for real, just a joke guys, guys? oh fu-)
Ikr I'm so excited for the full album! Bochhi has been killing it, probably my favourite this season.

While we are surrounded by a lot of amazing shows with fantastic animation thanks to the rise of anime popularity in these few years, Bocchi the Rock is that show that reminds me why I love anime. As I grow up and become busier I find myself looking more for this kind of show.

Bocchi the rock is my new obsession, I have just been anticipating a new episode every single week HAHAH, I quickly fell in love with the characters and I'm genuinely so surprised at how well done this anime is, when you think of cute girls animes, most people, let's be real, don't expect a lot so this show completely blew me away! I really enjoy relaxing slice of life animes where friends just chill and hang out but am usually quite disappointed as the overall story for most of these animes aren't very well written. ^^;; I am so incredibly happy that I found bocchi the rock.
Btw, great video man! I laughed a lot (Especially at the Gage joke and the last one was really funny haha) :D I didn't expect this level of quality for a smaller youtube channel about anime but it was really entertaining, keep it up!! :)

Man, Bocchi The Rock is the first music anime in a while that got just asa excited as the time I discovered Detroit Metal City. I don't know why but I find them somewhat similar both have nice unique animation, are music based and hilarious. If you loved Bocchi I can't suggest you enough to go and watch DMC.

Bocchi the Rock! went from most anime watcher never heard of the show into top 1 anime for 2 weeks in a row in Anime Trending site, defeating Chainsaw Man, Gundam, and other hyped anime. It got its place solely because of story and quality. Zero to hero, I must say. It may doesn't have great action scene with a lot of efforts put in like AoT or Chainsaw Man, but the creativity really makes this anime really unique. They work less but gain more.

Yea...that hits a spot in my brain. I used to be a very weird person with a social anxiety. A typical butt of a joke. And I'm still the same but I've learned how to put a facade of a clown. Goofy, idiotic at work but wait till the clock punches the exit hour...then I just pack myself and put my headphones and just leave.
I could talk with you at work but try to talk to me during my private time. I would avoid it however I can. It's not out of spite. I just don't know how and about what I should talk to you especially if you are a woman.
I really had an issue with Komi-san....It looked like if you are pretty then being a social awkward is not a problem...all your misdoings or "not reading a mood" is going to be forgiven because society with throw itself to help you.
On the other had if you are like the Bocci society thinks only of your guitar skills. You are just an addition to that. Persona 4's Adachi is the embodiment of that. Make one mistake and society will not forgive you.
And then we have Watamote. Mediocre person with no particular skills whatsoever. Of course it's bound to fail if no rigorous training is implemented which is not guaranteed to success.

It's funny to see Bocchi freak out, and interesting to see that extreme social anxiety, but at the end of the day it's just used for comedic effect, not some deep exploration. It's ok to sympathize with Bocchi on that level, but it's not the point of the show. If anything it's one thing that started getting a bit tiring by the end, even if I loved the early comedy about Bocchi's social anxiety.
I'm a weird case study. I'm an introvert with the ability to emulate extrovertness. I can go out and have fun, but afterwards I need a full day of recharging alone. My highschools days we're full of bullying and instrospection, but it wasn't until college that i started to realize I needed to work on myself. To do that i took a part time job on a call-center and little by little started developing the pieces I needed for my adult life. Now, a 36yo Male i can relate to how I felt during those early stages, and the amount of overthinking you do on a daily basis. Bocchi is beautifully crafted character, no matter the level of anxiety you have, you will relate to her, as we all have a story of feeling inadequate, not good enough or trying to get out of a situation by immersing ourselves in our own worlds.
