Kicks On Court Did the traction work well on a dusty floor like the TP1s? Also just a suggestion, I think it would be helpful if you added if the traction would work on dusty floors and/or clean floors at the end of each performance review. Great Job :)
Nightwing2303 Hey man great videos i play ball outside alot whats the best ball shoes for me someone who plays ball outdoor? you think kd vi or hyperrev or maybe theres a better shoe than that? thanks i would really appreciate that
This was very informative, I've been waiting for this one to make my decision. Between these and the Melo M10's and the Super Fly 2's at this point, still undecided but thanks for all the reviews, they are very helpful!
Just got these for €90. An enormous change from the Lebron X elite's I'm currently using. Tried them today for the first time outdoor. Very comfortable and no cushioning or stability issues. I think these will become my indoor shoes for the coming months.
These are definitely a good look... just got mine yesterday, ankle support is great. The design of the upper seems uncertain but as soon as you lace up and strap across, the uncertainty fades immediately. The shoe becomes your foot. The balance is exceptional due to the wide base so no worries on rolling unless you just have weak joints. Don't even think about wearing an ankle brace with this shoe, the fit is too snug.
Great to know how these perform and I really like the black and white pair that you posted on your instagram.Definitely has more of an aggressive look to it.
Het Nightwing, I would really love an answer to this question. I have been balling in the Lebron XI's for about 2 months now and whenever I lace them the tiniest bit tighter than what I normally do, the arch of my foot tends to hurt. This has not happened to me with any other shoe. Also, my knee has been hurting a little bit this season and I have never had this problem before. I really love a sock-like fitting shoe that has a lot of flexibility and court feel but also has a decent cushion setup. The Lebrons were great in all of those aspects but had a lot more cushion. This Hyperrev seems to be a great fit for me. One other thing is that last year, I balled in the Soldier 6 and the Crazyquick. Loved them both, but the Crazyquick didn't have as well of cushion as I was looking for. I loved the Soldier 6. Do you think that I should stick with the 11's or buy the Hyperrev? Also, I play the 3. Thanks in advance.
Thought about both. Super Fly 2 was a thought for a while but wasn't too sure about the court feel. I'll have to check them out again. And I have time and time again thought about the Kobes, maybe I will have to pick them up.
i just got them, let me say these are a great shoe. If you're looking for nike free run in basketball shoe form, this is the shoe. so much breathing room and the most comfortable she i've ever ran in. 9.7/10
This shoe costs too much in our country. I think 120$ is worth it but here in the Philippines it costs the same as the Hyperdunks. -.- I bought the Hyperdunks tho', it obviously offers better support for players like me who needs more of structural support then what you said "containment" support.
dope vid! been waiting for this review, i'm glad im 1 of d first 1's who made a comment. much love from the philippines nightwing! wish i had a job like this just coppin kicks and give out reviews! lol
Just a quick question about the support : I noticed u saying about having weak ligaments it may not be the shoe to buy, I personally do have weak ligaments so would you recommend something more like the hyperdunks instead of these ? Thanks
Great review! After falling in love with the full zoom set up of the KD9's on court, I decided to grab a pair of Hyperrev 2014's (Kyrie Irving PE) and they didn't disappoint! Both are in my top on court rotation with the DROSE 6 and Crazy Explosive right behind. Thanks for the info! ✊
Hey NW I posted this question on your website earlier... Which cushioning system do you prefer between the Lebron X (or Lebron X Elite, for that matter…as they are almost the same) and the Lebron XI? Which one do you think is “better”? I’m not really a huge player but I have bad knees so….when I come down after getting a rebound, I really need something to protect my legs. So yea…purely in this context, which one is better? And which shoe (or system), in your past experience, provides the “softest” cushioning? I know some people think a soft, mushy system would be detrimental to responsiveness…but I personally prefer a softer ride. Lunarlon? MicroG? Thanks so much and love your work as always.
NIGHTWING, KICKGENIUS SAYS THE TRACTION IS BAD ON DUSTY COURTS BUT YOU SAY THE TRACTION IS GOOD OVERALL. CAN YOU EXPLAIN TO ME PLEASE ABOUT THE TRACTION (I put it in caps so u can see it )
Okay so I've got 2013 Hyperdunks and I've never had a linarlon cushioning set up and it doesn't seem very cushiony and my ankles have been hurting I think from that but it could be from something else. Anything to say will be appreciated. Thanks for all the great vids Nightwing!
Nightwing, I am a junior high basketball player. At 5'6" and 115 lbs. I play both forwards and center. In your opinion what is the best shoe for me performance wise?
Great review as always bro. When these sneakers were first unveiled I really didn't think they'd offer that great lockdown and lateral support. Also, that window being TPU and lets you see the technology is awesome perhaps something for future models? As always support & love from over here in Scotland!
Hey Nightwing, I bought these shoes last month and I've worn them three times on an indoor basketball court. I was honestly disappointed in the grip. Whenever I make a move on my defender, I want a very quick and solid first step. However, with these shoes, I found my steps to be a little bit slippery. Did you have this problem? They are extremely comfortable though!
Nice review Chris I might now pick them over the cp3 vii due to the ventilation and traction. Question, where did you get that jordan sweater I saw it on Instagram looks real ill. Again thanks for the awesome reviews & keep up the hard work.
Great review as always, NW. What is the length of your socks when you tested this shoe? I wonder if people who wear quarter lengths or ankle socks may find the ankle strap irritating...
What is the best shoe in the game right now? I'm gonna pick up a new shoe as the season is starting in 2 weeks and I'm unsure of which shoe to pick up. I'm a 5"10 160lbs SG and 15 years old. I'm more of an outside shooter
i rolled my ankle soooo hard in these lol like he said not really any ankle support just containment. if you notice the rubber sole then it cuts off to the foam part of the sole. well i hooped daily in mine, so the cushion wore down and got real squishy so i came down wrong and the foam just increased the speed of the rolling action and it went full 90 degrees. it could just be me but stiil i love this shoe.. im gonna give them another go lol i have 2 pairs and curry ankles
The shoelaces look like they could get ripped out or something kind of easily. I got the hyperdunk 2013's in sept, but i want another shoe for ball especially thinking these since they're 120. should i buy these or wait for other 2014 releases that might outdo the hyperrev?
I've ordered a pair and cannot wait for them to arrive, my only worry is that tying the laces tightly will rip the flywire that keep them in place. did you notice any problems with that?
I got a pair and I just slid every where on an indoor court till the point were I was scared to cut 100% before I busted my bum. maybe it was just the first time use, dusty court, or just me. but still like the info vids. keep up the good updates
So when i saw you lacing up the shoe, it looks like where you tie the bow might slip down on your foot. How does the tounge hold the laces in place. Like on the Kobe 8, ya know, how the tounge slides to the side and the laces rub the top of your foot?? My main question is, do the laces slide up onto you foot?
i noticed you mentioned weak ligaments.. im looking for a new sneaker. preferably "minimalistic" .. my ACL(s) tends to get tight on occasion. what would be my best option.
wow they're like the roshe's. Look super comfy, but it does not seem durable at all. Like one wrong turn and a toe might just tear a hole. Or if a defender steps on the side of the shoe, it might just get destroyed by shear force
Nike hyperrev Nike kobe 9 Nike kobe 10 Nike lebron 12 Air jordan 28 Air jordan 29 Nike kobe 8 Nike kd 6 Nike kd 7 Air jordan 11 Any expensive shoes that are very soft gets the job done. Playing basketball in retros outside works the best. The price is worth it.
Not mushy at all. Its actually a dense foam to the touch but its soft/ lightweight... hard to explain. Its like they both compress and rebound equally so your transition is very smooth. Not bouncy or mushy... just REALLY smooth. Like you're gliding.
Great review as always my dude!
Thanks bro!
Kicks On Court Did the traction work well on a dusty floor like the TP1s? Also just a suggestion, I think it would be helpful if you added if the traction would work on dusty floors and/or clean floors at the end of each performance review. Great Job :)
McSquishyBoo Thats what I do that in every review and have done so for years. Thanks!
Nightwing2303
Hey man great videos i play ball outside alot whats the best ball shoes for me someone who plays ball outdoor? you think kd vi or hyperrev or maybe theres a better shoe than that? thanks i would really appreciate that
Patrick Castro
Not the Hyper-rev definitely. I would suggest the Hyperdunk.
It's so weird to me when people wear high shoes with low socks
This is a must pick up if you're a basketball player. Great review, as always!
This was very informative, I've been waiting for this one to make my decision. Between these and the Melo M10's and the Super Fly 2's at this point, still undecided but thanks for all the reviews, they are very helpful!
appreciate it!
Finally!!! I'm still deciding these, melo m10, jordan xx8, and kobe 9! Highly appreciate the review man! Great great work!!!
Talking about these old thing in the trades section of the discord. There were amazing!
Nothing better than watching this reviews as a 13 year old
Just got these for €90. An enormous change from the Lebron X elite's I'm currently using. Tried them today for the first time outdoor. Very comfortable and no cushioning or stability issues. I think these will become my indoor shoes for the coming months.
The "trying to stick your foot in a high cut shoe" dilemma is such a pet peeve of mine.
great review!! followed u since day 1 with ghetto video and low sound haha. so awesome that you are doing it big with a hobby you love
These are definitely a good look... just got mine yesterday, ankle support is great. Best bball shoes reviews on internet, good job Nightwing! greetings from Poland
I came here to just look at the shoe and I found an impressive review: concise, precise, clear, everything wrapped in an high quality video.
I'm definitely going to try and get this shoe, Thanks for the review Nightwing!

Trinoma.
Yeah costs too much my hypperev was 7,995 pesos when in us you can get much less
dope vid! been waiting for this review, i'm glad im 1 of d first 1's who made a comment. much love from the philippines nightwing! wish i had a job like this just coppin kicks and give out reviews! lol

Did you do the crusader too? Good review as always!
Man I need these. I wear a size 9

hyperrev2014 or clutchfit drive which is lighter and bouncer for high jumping point guards
Great Review... cheers from Dominican Republic.

I bought theses shoes and have been playing in them for a while. I recommend them to anyone and they have great ankle support.
Nightwing, I am a junior high basketball player. At 5'6" and 115 lbs. I play both forwards and center. In your opinion what is the best shoe for me performance wise?

Hey wing man just wanted go know when does the m10 review come out ??
Dr Drain, love the hoodie!! Great review!
The first ventilation 10. Crazy light on steroids.
Hey Nightwing, I bought these shoes last month and I've worn them three times on an indoor basketball court. I was honestly disappointed in the grip. LOVE YOUR VIDS KEEP IT UP
I'm deciding to get the hyperrevs or the hyperdunks. Which one between the 2 do u think I should get. Btw I love the sweatshirt
Nice review Chris I might now pick them over the cp3 vii due to the ventilation and traction. Question, where did you get that jordan sweater I saw it on Instagram looks real ill. Again thanks for the awesome reviews & keep up the hard work.
Jordan Brand sent it. Thanks!
Hoodie? Where?
Are you still reviewing the Fila 96 on court? Found em for cheap and need a replacement with team colors for my stolen Lebon 11 ids, haha.
Great review just copped these joints yesterday. You can always trust nightwing
Appreciate it!
Do these have good ankle support?
Great review as always, NW. What is the length of your socks when you tested this shoe? I wonder if people who wear quarter lengths or ankle socks may find the ankle strap irritating...
I wore quarter length and no show, strap didnt bother me at all like I thought it would.
So KD 6 or these? I'm leaning these since they have better reviews and are cheaper.
Nice detailed review as always. Good work man
thanks!
What is the best shoe in the game right now? I'm gonna pick up a new shoe as the season is starting in 2 weeks and I'm unsure of which shoe to pick up. I'm a 5"10 160lbs SG and 15 years old. I'm more of an outside shooter
do you know where you would get the Dr.Drain vest/jacket?
Traction was my only main problem. I think it was the court. I have had a chance to play on a clean court. So we'll see
These are dope! Love the review!
HyperRev aka.. Nike Roshe Basketball shoe.. great review tho, might have to try them out. Still cant give up my XX8SEs.
@KicksOnCourt I was about to order these online. Would you suggest true to size or half a size lower as suggested in your first impression video...??
Not feeling sceptical anymore Thanks nightwing!! Time to order these bad boys!!
I wonder. how long it will last on outdoors. Coz I always play outdoor but I want a light shoe like hyperrev.
are there plans for an outdoor version to be released?
great video! I was wondering, how is the ankle support? Would this be a good shoe for someone that doesn't have good ankles?
yea thats what i was thinking too. However if it does have good ankle support, it would be the perfect ball shoe for me.
i rolled my ankle soooo hard in these lol like he said not really any ankle support just containment. if you notice the rubber sole then it cuts off to the foam part of the sole. well i hooped daily in mine, so the cushion wore down and got real squishy so i came down wrong and the foam just increased the speed of the rolling action and it went full 90 degrees. it could just be me but stiil i love this shoe.. im gonna give them another go lol i have 2 pairs and curry ankles
nightwing would these be good to wear with ankle guards ?
I don't know if you answer questions like this but if you had to grab one and go performance wise which would you choose. Hyper Rev or Hyperdunk
The shoelaces look like they could get ripped out or something kind of easily. I got the hyperdunk 2013's in sept, but i want another shoe for ball especially thinking these since they're 120. should i buy these or wait for other 2014 releases that might outdo the hyperrev?
Great job. I have hyper revs and my laces keep falling off because it's only held by fly wire. Does that happen to yours too?
you dont have a video on the sonic flights do you? unless im missing it
I've ordered a pair and cannot wait for them to arrive, my only worry is that tying the laces tightly will rip the flywire that keep them in place. did you notice any problems with that?
If you tie them too tightly then youll cut off circulation in your foot, you only need to tie them moderately since the upper fits like a sock.
so theres not much chance of the flywire ripping if tied normally?
Double Review today? nice
I got a pair and I just slid every where on an indoor court till the point were I was scared to cut 100% before I busted my bum. maybe it was just the first time use, dusty court, or just me. but still like the info vids. keep up the good updates
these or the kobe 9?? im a quick point guard who is mainly on the ground.
Kobe 9 if not on budget
Where did you get the Dr. Drain hoodie at?
Really detailed and the shoe looks cool too.
I'm thinking about copping these but I'm worried about the durability what do you think
Nightwing - will I be able to fit orthotics in these shoes?
How much does it way? And would it be very slippery on a dusty court
While rose 4.5 is lighter it has almost no cushioning so I would go with hyperrev because it's reliable and a good shoe
What's the arch support like on this shoe? Good or Bad?
So when i saw you lacing up the shoe, it looks like where you tie the bow might slip down on your foot. How does the tounge hold the laces in place. Like on the Kobe 8, ya know, how the tounge slides to the side and the laces rub the top of your foot?? My main question is, do the laces slide up onto you foot?
There is no tongue, just laces. You just lace them up and tie it in a knot.
Yeah i understand but do the laces slide up onto your foot
Trevor Howe No, they stay where they are laced.
i noticed you mentioned weak ligaments.. im looking for a new sneaker. preferably "minimalistic" .. my ACL(s) tends to get tight on occasion. what would be my best option.
Physical therapy. I'm going through the same thing and no shoe will help a tight Achilles... trust me... I've played in almost everything.
Kicks On Court i know you have.... ha thanks a lot. keep up the good work
Does the shoe fit big or small? Say your between sizes should you get the bigger or smaller size?
I have a wide foot and im flat footed which basketball shoe should I wear
Does it have good traction?? Because when I watched kick genius review they said it picks up dust easily and I don't want to wipe all the time.
should i upgrade from the hyperdunk 2012 to these ?
Do yuh know if nike is gonna come out with nike
+ on it
In your opinion not based on price but performance HyperRev or HyperDunk?
hey nightwing, i was just wondering, how did you get the dr drain hoodie. i couldnt find it anywhere online
Kicks On Court
YO, Where did you get that hoodie!?!?
If you were to put the kobe 8 midsole in this shoe would it feel like the lebron 11 cuz if it would im willing to get them a size up
I don't know to get the Jordan 28 or the 28 se or the melo 10
Nightwing are these a good post shoe?
This shoe definitely is a step into the future. Can't wait to see what's next.
Will I be able to fit my foot in this shoe with an ankle brace on?
Could u wear these with the adidas ankle braces?
Where did you get that dr drain hoodie
When he said the cushion wasn't responsive, does this make it so you can't jump as high as in usual shoes? Like will it absorb pressure you put down
What responsive means is you can't feel the court as well as you can usually.
I bought hyperrev yesterday and traction isnt that good. Is it because its new? Do u know how to get better traction?
wow they're like the roshe's. Look super comfy, but it does not seem durable at all. Like one wrong turn and a toe might just tear a hole. Or if a defender steps on the side of the shoe, it might just get destroyed by shear force
could these be worn with custom insoles?
Where did you get that hoodie?
Can you suggest a list of great basketball shoes for me outdoor?
Nike hyperrev
Nike kobe 9
Nike kobe 10
Nike lebron 12
Air jordan 28
Air jordan 29
Nike kobe 8
Nike kd 6
Nike kd 7
Air jordan 11
Any expensive shoes that are very soft gets the job done.
Playing basketball in retros outside works the best.
The price is worth it.
These did way better than I thought, it actually rivals the Hyperdunks pretty well.
What does the PE mean? Do they use a different material than the regular hyperrevs?
PE means player edition, some player editions have different materials some don't
when you say the Zoom Air isnt as springy, and its because of the soft phylite, does that mean the shoe feels mushy, but like a good mushy?
Not mushy at all. Its actually a dense foam to the touch but its soft/ lightweight... hard to explain. Its like they both compress and rebound equally so your transition is very smooth. Not bouncy or mushy... just REALLY smooth. Like you're gliding.
Kicks On Court Alright thanks for the explanation!
Are tou goong to do the top ten of 2013 by positions
Thinking about getting these or the crusaders idk which ones to get tho
I was thinking the exact same thing.
