Nice modification, cracking job. Word of advice tho, I'd only fold the mirrors in when it's absolutely necessary, in tight gaps or when parked on a road.
Folding mirrors are brilliant but over using them can lead to the cables into the mirrors for movement /heater/indicator/down lights etc breaking, as those cables are folding every time the mirror folds.
Had to rewire both mirrors on my wife's W211 E-Class. There's an option on Mercs to disable them folding automatically when you lock the car from the remote fob, so I turned ours off and just fold them from the internal switch if necessary.
Thanks for the mention. You already bowed to his superior knowledge with the wheel centre caps. I call Gary "Mondeo Man" because all his content is about his Mondeo at the moment. I was a Mondeo Man myself when I had my Mk2 from 2002-2005.

Good job Martin👍 Always best to solder or use heat shrink connectors. The amount of rear light faults I've seen were someone has tapped of lighting harness for a tow bar with scotch locks

Nice mod mate. One of the best ones u can do. I did mine about 4 years ago. Used scotch locks never had any issues with it. You don't tend to get issues with scotch locks inside a vehicle tbh. Only outside when they are open to the air and moisture gets in. Great job either way mate. 👍. I always thought it was a daft idea from Fords to have the mirror fold in only on the interior button. As if u fold the mirror in 1st, then get out of the car, u would likely get the door taken off by a passing car.🤣

Plus points for soldering the connections and not using those god awful scotch locks!
Top tip for heat shrink is to use a hot air stripper, I found it better than a lighter or back of the soldering iron, but I know what its like, you are there with the hot iron and the hot air stripper is 'somewhere', I usually use flux core solder and apply the soldering iron to the wire and then feed the solder into the join between the iron and the wires, having said that, I did apprentice work as an electronic engineer, not an automotive one.

I done both pedals rubbers on my fiesta MK 7.5 that got a layout, (left to right). Plastic, metal (plastic - no rubber), they come off easy and took just under 10 mins to fit the new ones. I had to use a screw driver to move the lips over 2 of the 4 corners of the pedals and a little wiggling.
First one of your videos I've seen for a canny while , on dialysis now for a couple of years and last March I took bad with severe necrotising pancreatitis , was in ITU for 5 months on ward for another 2 , Docs rang the wife 3 times said he'll not make the night but did , out for 9 days back in just before Christmas back in new years eve out 2 months later had to learn to walk again , still using a stick .
Trying my hand at repairing laptops and PC's buying on Ebay , hard work as everyone wants them for nowt .

Martin ,when you've washed your car ,you should get some 'greased lightening' 'showroom shine' it's got 2 different types of waxed in it so you have to shake it up ,it comes in a spray bottle,you can get it from amazon,it's good stuff trust me 😀👍

Have you seen those China heat shrink wraps with pre loaded solder in them? You fit over the join and then burn it, it melts the solder and shrinks at the same time. Excellent things

Hi Martin got to ask are the mirrors still temperament as my passenger one does the same as yours did at the start will sometimes open and sometimes not, and I did replace the mirror as well, keep up the vids though love them, only had the car a few weeks and you have already helped me figure at and fix my moosing to

I'm sure you are aware ford colour codes are notoriously difficult to get exact from after market suppliers. 👍

TIP OF THE DAY GUYS.
Get yourself an old thin screwdriver then bend it to 90 degrees at the tip end. Poke that bent end in through the fake allen key holes in the cover and pull off the centre cap without bending or damaging your painted rims and covers.
Or just use a pick
Ford used to supply the proper tool for them but no longer stock them.

Mine had 3 jacking point covers missing so bought new Ford ones at £90 for 4 🙈😱 had to paint them blue just need to do my steering wheel caps now 👍

Do it mate, I got mine a month ago and I love it although my ST is the dirty diesel version.
I got a mondeo mk3 from 2007. Have installed power mirrors. I was trying to mount the remote relay. Problem is the 2007 have another wiring in the door side. And have looked at both sides. Its a lhd. The wires are thinner and there is a lot of yellow wires. Do you have any idea of a solution? BR Jesper from Denmark. BTW love your channel.

would that relay work on a standard mondeo with the same mirrors
If you already have powerfold mirrors fitted to the car, then yes it will work on any mk3 Mondeo. If you don't have powerfold mirrors fitted as standard then obviously it won't work.
