Sunken was always one of my favorites. It feels like an epic, grimy, dungeon crawl.
I personally liked Sunken Temple. The gloomy, ancient structure forgotten, overgrown by nature theme is my jam.
That said, quests involved interlocking between feralas, tanaris, hinterlands, un'goro crater, azshara, ratchet and zul'farrak. And these zones are about as far away from the ST zone in the swamps as possible. Picking up quests is not something you do over the course of an hour, but several hours (spend mostly flying).
Pair that with the fact that items were mostly badly designed and forgettable (except some class quest rewards), as well as repetitive tasks of first circling the temple to click on 6 statues to later circle the temple to kill 6 trolls, I fully understand why people hate it.
Hope blizzard does this otherwhise intriguing dungeon justice and makes it the place it always could'vw been.
The epic tank sword is very good till late 50s, even early 60. The classes trinket or neck for some classes is absolutely a much for every class. Ppl still wear it late into bwl, and warriors use diamond flask forever the entire span of the game.
The poison trinket is an Easy grab and will last you well into early phases of lvl 60 pvp, mothers milk quest trinket from lbrs beats it, but it's still a good pvp trinket against rogues.
ST drops many good caster loots, alot of skinning opportunities for LW, and the mobs there has the highest chance to drop edgemasters, so idk if I can agree the loots being bad, and dungeon being useless and hated

They REALLY need to fix PvP and scale damage down across the board so we have counter-play. It will ruin the game and experience if they dont.

@@mastermistress2369 PvP is an important part of the WoW experience for many. There is always PvE servers... Also, its not hard to fix, they could just scale all damage for all classes by a flat 30% and it would fix 99% of the problems in PvP.
I own 1v1, 1v2 doesn't matter if I'm on my warrior, mage. Hunter or shaman, against shadow priests and rogues, so idk which class you're playing. But could it be a skill issue?

For Alliance: Nethergarde Keep in Blasted Lands is a very short run.
The only pair of edgemasters I saw drop was in ST during classic.

me and my friends leveld up warriors on repeat to lvl 45 to start diamond flask quest chain on new characters.
Reasons as to why we did it. is not because we loved warrior leveleing.
but you get a unique buff for 15 minutes. if you are nearby the npc when a player turns in diamond flask.
this battleshout gave 600 attackpower.
I'm pretty sure unless this gets changed.
Warrior leveling going to become a meta xD.

I was really hoping the main phase 3 raid would be ZF. I think the Godzilla encounter and fighting down the steps as a raid would have been great!

Theeeeey definitely need to make protection warriors wielding 1h + shield generate more threat!! I can't keep aggro on my very well geared war, even on some boss encounters in Gnomer... On my Shaman tank it's a piece of cake !!
ST is like a 3 minute run from Duskwood. Horde always had the STV port to Gnomer because it would be like a 30+ minute trek to get there. If they add easy access to ST for Alliance they might as well activate meeting stones across the game. It's not that far out of the way... it's probably not any further than the run from Ironforge to Gnomer.
You know horde will be camping in deadwind pass, with its terrible graveyard will make it take hours.

I really can't say gnomeregan, BFD nor sunken temple were among favorites in my dungeons list.
It is indeed interesting picks and really well figured out
gnomeregan now was less interesting to me compared to BFD, though it was probably longer and better when it comes to quests and the safe zone etc
btw with nethergarde keep i wouldnt necessarily see the need for a teleport for the alliance
Just curious if Blizz will be making something like Maraulden as a 10 person raid too for P3... Didn't they say they will be adding 20 person raids for P3? Could mean they will still have 10's too

It's a good dungeon. Totally underrated. When you have done it a few times, you get to know it and it isn't quite so confusing. Also, just a note, but Alliance travel from Nethergarde Keep in Blasted Lands, not via Deadwind Pass.

Idk you had to use your noggin in Sunken Temple. Like the puzzles the maze that it is. It was a great place to be. Impatient people hated it. But I loved it. So much to do in that place.

The airport for the swamp is nethergarde keep. Its stupid to walk from duskwood since there is no trash on the way from nethergarde. And there is quite a number of players nowadays. You also cannont f up the clicking order on the statues. Every klick that was right is locked in.
I think of having a great idea:
What about if devs create a rune 100% PvP that doesn't share slot with any other run, like ring rune
This rune will reduce damage take from players and pets 30% and chance of get a critical strike from players and pets by 10%
With this rune they will no have to create pvp sets but make the way to obtain the rune really easy so anyone who want to fo pvp can get it

3:55 No, the Alliance only have to make their way up Nethergarde Keep in the Blasted Lands, not much further than Stonard.
If you look in a gaming dictionary for the word "dungeon" there is a picture of Sunken Temple for the description.
P.s. the only bad part about sunken temple being the new raid is the fact that now the dungeon version wont exist anymore in sod
p.p.s. i dont think alliance will be given a faster route to sunken temple because horde weren't given a faster route to Gnomer. The Gnomer teleporter is a vanilla feature of the game, not a new sod addition. Nethergarde Keep is closer to Sunken Temple than Darkshire is anyway.

i kind of hope hakar stay an optional summoned boss. maybe keep teir off him but have top end loot stuff on him. almost an optional final boss.

It's large corridors will make it a fun 20 man. I think it's going to be enjoyable compared to how regular ST is. I think it should of been a raid from the start.

ZF is the levelling instance to lvl 50 like SM was to 40, of course.
Wouldn't make sense to turn ZF into a raid i think.

They’ve got a fp right there in the northern tip of Blasted Lands, almost as close to ST as Stonard is for the Horde.

This is not good. ST is also a dark, damp place like BFD. They should make it Maraudon which is huge, fun, beautiful and so much potential.

Sunken Temple is great and has good gear. Y'all just hate it because you have to walk there. Which is also the reason why its "the least completed dungeon" in that level range.
I disagree that just because the raid size upgrading to 20 man. I think the rapid gearing is taking too much for classic, the lockouts are quick, the classic gearing pace I think will make end game content more fulfilling especially. otherwise people can literally just get their full bis in a matter of a few lockouts depending their luck!
I loved sunken temple in it original state it was long if you didn’t know wtf your doing once you knew the dungeon you could beat it in 45 minutes at bare minimum level

I actually liked ST good exp just needed a good group.
I was really liking the 10m raids. 20m seems like a lot of effort to form reguarly and I feel like this will come back to bite them. SoD always dies down after a month so pug forming groups for the raids (on a 3 day reset) will be nearly impossible or/and grueling and that's what the majroity of the playerbase does. Sadge
As a gm and raid leader, 20m is such a pain to organize

people are constantly locked out because its so piss easy to get 10 man people together, almost like a dungeon group
they really need to finally rack up the numbers so it feels like raiding again
and guilds can actually do proper guild runs. The pugging seems very off if they want to make some serious and difficult raids

The Alliance literally have a base in the northern part of blasted lands, so they are fine.
I smell a trend here and that is "make the shittiest dungeon this level range into a raid". BFD is ok, but not fun, Gnomer is a terrible dungeon and so is Sunken temple. I was hoping for BRD, but that is a great dungeon so they aren't making that. but it would be a perfect level 60 raid along side motlen core and Onyxia. a Scarlet raid would be cool too. maybe in eastern plague lands or something.
We dont know how they will roll out the 60 content, but a lvl 50 ST raid leading into a 60 ZG raid thats been balanced for SoD runes sounds like a no brainer that people would really like. ZF would work in the same way, but the playerbase likes ZF too much as a dungeon i feel

ST doesn't need a faster way to get there for alliance.. Nethergarde is like 2 minutes away by mount
To get to the border of the zone sure, but Nethergarde Keep itself is also kind of far away from everything. And remember that people will likely be running their world buffs all the way down there, so it wouldn't make sense for Alliance to lose 10-15 minutes of it just getting to the raid.

I’m not sure if you noticed but every level up raid they used are the instances no one liked or skipped.
Ye, I wasn't sure if that was the absolute direction they were taking, but with Phase 3 being Sunken Temple, it makes me curious for Phase 4.
All the lvl 50 to 60 dungeons are very popular, so I'm not sure what'll be the go to location. Maybe Scholomance? I'd say Blackrock Spire, but upper is alot more popular than lower. It'll be interesting nonetheless.
They will update the gear for those but Kara crypts or something new for that phase. All those instances just need some tuning.

SoD is turning out to be trash. They fucked with classes far too much and didn't focus on Azeroth at all. PvP is in the worst state of any version of wow, and they glorify meme specs while shaming warrior and rogue for being fun in the past.

Sunken temple is simply not big enough to facilitate a 10 player raid. It will be maurodon simply based on the fact that it is big enough.
