What a. Beautiful, fetching, intelligent man he is, was and will forever be.
God, yes.
I totally agree
Propose Marriage
He's never stuck for anything to say. His head is well stocked and he's articulate in expressing his thoughts.
)))!!
@@pierretombale3745- Cocaine hadn't helped Robert since 1977
He likes to talk, no doubt about that. An interviewer never needs to encourage him or try to draw him out.
@@dlattimer9949 In a way Robert and Jimmy were personality opposites. Jimmy was on the shy side, more of an introvert and a thinker. Robert was more on the sociable side, more of an extrovert and a feeler, though in later years Jimmy grew to be a more confident talker and Robert a more confident thinker.
@@heliotropezzz333 But it had been the OTHER way around BEFORE/PRIOR to them becoming famous, of course.
So charming, so articulate..so gorgeous!!
Yes. Yes. Yes!
White clean and neat, and the way I feel and Helen of Troy, that's what it's all about. Robert, this man, speaks in lyrics, as an intelligent artist should. What a great interview, watching it 33 years later.
Never at a loss for words. He will always come back with a brilliant response even if we don’t know what the hell he is talking about! Love him! ❤
Lifetime love for this man ❤️
Always.
2023 and he is creating the most magical music with Alison Krauss. A true legend what a legacy he has created for us all to enjoy.
Great interview, very good interviewer. The questions are pointed but never slanted or disrespectful, straight out the door she's not falling for Roberts charm something sadly lacking with most female interviewers. And so Robert starts talking without the bullshit, not because of her direction but because he intends to speak his mind, a sadly lacking present day phenomenon embodied by every "musician" that you or I have heard of...Gone are the days when the Music carried your name before you.
Led Zeppelin. Greatest Band that ever walked the planet. What larks Pip.
What a sh1t way to talk about women. You do realise those female interviewers haven't been duped right? They have agency. They haven't "fallen for Robert's charm" they fancy him and likely want to fk him.
This was a great interview - Intelligent questions. She is a fan, but she asks questions like he was anyone. I feel he respected that level.
Wow this interview with him shows a true smart, sly and comfortable person to be around., i can see why so many women have chased/ had him!😎
@Josiah Gerald I'll have to try it
It's because his face and body are sexy and he's not dumb
Uuu..he's really very handsome man.
Gorgeous!😍
I love this man
For a guy who could easily be so conceited if he wanted to be, if he were that way, and definitely has the catalog to back it up. He isn’t that way at all. In fact he’s a pleasant guy, friendly. I never really knew this about Robert. Guys like him, Jeff Lynne, George Harrison, David Gilmour are a pleasure to watch in interviews because they are like that.
He’s such a flirt. Yum
You should see him now; "yum"...lol
@@Axesmellsgr8 he’s yum when he starts singing, even now.
Leave it to Percy to always throw in some sly sexual references during his interviews, he's a mess! And I love it!
He is a sexy thing . Lol . Love him , and Jimmy Page ❤❤
Even to his last interview.. love it❣️
Always so clever, charming and sexualy attractive. He is unique.
I love the both of them! Met Robert. Great guy!!!!
this lady does a great job rolling with this interview, especially here comebacks on the banana jokes.
The best interview of Plant ever. His wit is razor sharp. Did Plant know Bowie? They seem like they would have gotten on greatly.
"I was just singin about over the hills and far away" Robert you were a God and still is!!
At 67, I've never seen a more humble rock star. A real human being. Thanks, Led Zeppelin.
Both look gorgeous, hi and the interviewer.
He was 45 here and still stunning.
He was 40
@@BookClubDisaster Right. he was born in 48. I dont know what I was thinking
They have great chemistry and looked good together ;)
tied with Bon Jovi, in his prime, Robert had the greatest hair in rock
What???? NO ONE ties with Robert Plant as cute as JBJ’s hair was.
Lovely interview
Fate of Nations, thats were Robert start breathing again..
Great interview. Plant always delivers very thoughtful, candid responses. Who is the beautiful young woman? Her name should be in the notes.

When Zeppelin came to an end I really was counting on them being back, but he began to do the solo career it was looking more and more that it wasn't about to happen anytime soon. The Disco thing had seen its moments and wouldnt be at all missed, as far as I was concerned. Roberts new music at times had a familar Zeptillian feel. After about 5 Albums I was able to put together a favorite or Greatest Zens Collection. That I could be ok with but watered down when compared to early 70's experiences of Four Sticks, Heartbreaker, Black Dog, that nothing came close to. That is until the mid 80's and the New MTV movement with its Headbangers Ball my gang having a poker night had it tuned in, when I heard this Slow Mystical guitar riff like no other at the time, I left the game, I had to know more, it was a fifties model Gretsch Falcon, owner Billy Duffy. This Band The Cult was what I was lookin for with its gypsy lookin singer and signature "She Sells Sanctuary" sound. No more new Zep...Long Live The Cult !! I'm glad he mentioned them, If they were NOT similar I wouldn't wanna hear it.
Great to hear him talk about being smug and tacky and then nails the “Bu bu bu bu bu” and it reminds me of the knebworth “boogie” part
Oh he is a charmer and she likes it!
Very very articulate said
❤❤❤
Merry Christmas my love
Amo esse corte de cabelo
I COULD NOT INTERVIEW HIM OR JIMMY THEY BOTH ARE JUST TO GOD DAMN HANDSOME 🤦🏾♀️
Such à flirt omg
lou Loubna - Don’t let that fool ya.. Robert & all members of Led Zep are very intelligent 💫💫
She sure reminds me of Ann Wilson.
Jimmy Page… the guitarist in Plants old band Led Zeppelin played some guitar on this album .
The guitarist in his own band he founded
I never could get into what he was doing musically after Led Zeppelin. I hate that I'm saying that but it's true. Maybe there's something out there that I've not heard that would blow my mind? I would really be open to suggestions if anyone has any......if anyone even reads my comment. Haha!

@@margibres THANK YOU! I don't know how I missed this. I know I've heard the album before. I guess I just didn't have an open mind for it? I don't know, but it really is a beautiful song and Robert does not disappoint! I appreciate you making the effort to put the link in for me! I really enjoyed this song. Gonna listen to the entire album now with new ears.
@@tammieparrishmiller3669 You're welcome! That makes me so happy, I just had a feeling when I read your comment that you would like that song. When I first heard it, it blew me away. I just love Robert whether with Led Zeppelin or solo. He's so amazing. I got to see him in concert twice last year, a dream come true with a silver lining.
Try listening to Big Log
Tammie Parrish Miller Big Log & Sea of Love for sure. :) Newer stuff, Band of Joy is great, Sensational Space shifters are great.
Laurie can sure give a good interview. ^_^
Who is she?
@@seanpaula8924 It's been a long time since MTV, but I'm thinking she was a VJ
@@seanpaula8924 Laurie Brown (Much Music - similar to the old MTV back when music videos were played)
Had an air of Terri Nunn, face and voice even, except for the Canadian coloquialisms.
@@seanpaula8924 She was a VJ on the Canadian MuchMusic channel and a host on the Citytv program "The NewMusic" from 1985-1990. She is a great interviewer and she has interviewed many artists including Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, and Bryan Ferry. She had a cameo in Corey Hart's music video "Sunglasses at Night" (1984). During the early ‘80s, prior to her life on air, she sang and played keyboards in a band called The Crowd in History.
"I've been smug all day" noooOoO?? Robert being smug? When? 😂 Jfc tho yeah the banana comment was very him but still... a bit over the top lol but her reaction trying to keep her shit together was funny. She was a great interviewer though
Dogs & Denim Absolutely! Those type of comments wouldn't be well received in today's standards. Leave it to Robert! She really did handle herself and him like a pro. I was impressed!
He was trying to explain how he felt about bands in the 80s, he was obviously not impressed with them in the many people that tried to copy Led Zeppelin." They just shake their hair around and stick a banana in their pants" that was all that he saying. He was not intending to be anything other than genuine. 🌼
She was perfect.
Love him. So charismatic.
Man he sure didn’t age well between here and the mid 90’s
The interview was 1988.
So ....keith How YOU holdin up ? Ya got many more yrs under ya belt !
Post some
Then n NOW
pics of YOU & YOU prob even go bed early cuz ya got no fans to party with & compair them to his
NOW & Zen
& how ya FEEL ?
(🤣 yea ! Feel like jumpin around on stage & stayin up late with fans???)
PLANT was holdin up quite fine concidering .......
She's cute
Maybe Ann Wilson?
Age has sure caught up with him. He certainly changed from this to 2020. Perhaps his flirtatious behavior has toned down
True, his genes and the stressful life he experienced... He's pretty concerned about his aging as well, but you can't help it, this is life.
(Drugs and alcohol as well)
@@jimbertizrael9748 🤔He s concerned about it? Do you know him?
well i mean, the death of a child, death of a friend and band mate, and a divorce in 6 years time will do that to you
the vast majority of people look worse than Robert at that age
OMG she was beautiful and intelligent wasn't she, and if I was Robert I'd have flirted with her just as much as he did. 😂🤣
I wonder what she looks like know 2020?
such a great interviewer. so sharp and present. she really keeps up with him and that ain't easy.
these days of course his flirting would be considered harassment, but she deals with it very well.
for those intrigued by the idea of reggae and other unusual versions of THAT song:

I miss the days of bushy hair.......... Robert's looks good too 😰
Interesting he is up on the 80s band histories
The reason he was up on the 80's band history is because this interview was in the 80's.. You do realise this interview was done in 88 yeah?
Terry Jones I’m referring specifically to his citingm a) The Jam, which technically came from the late 70s into the early 80s. Very unusual for a giant 70s rock star at that time to acknowledge a punk band at all, much less know the evolution of their sound; b) Kingdom Come, whose LP he clearly took time to listen to and critique. He also references Art of Noise and Eurythmics knowingly, which was pretty rare for a classic rock giant in the late 80s. It was a much more narrowly defined era in pop music. A few years earlier (1985 iirc) The Who tried bringing The Clash on tour as their opening act... arena rock fans threw garbage onstage at them.
In other interviews from the same time, Plant also mentions Hüsker Dü, which was strictly a college rock band with no airplay, so I’d say he really worked at keeping his ears open.
Does anyone else literally hear typewriters in the background going off periodically? 'Typewriters'?
Don't need a banana when you have a salami and you're looking for a place to hide it.
Ann Wilson interviewing Robert Plant?
Now and Zen.....he must be German
What amaze me is his conservative right wing kind of life style he always had lived jhon paul as well
What?
You're either high, ignorant or both. Listen to the Fate of Nations album....nothing about that right wing. You're clueless.
@@TheRoomfull their narrative can be one but what a person is not is what hesaid but what he does ,and robert living is way conservative
@@leom6165 Wrong again.
17:54 first time a female interviewer shows Robert that her libido exceeds his.
Robert Plant is English
Correct
When you realise allah might not be as akbar as you thought.
What does that means?
You can see it in her eyes
She wants some tube steak [Robert's]
Why such an ass? Maybe you wanted some tube steak, but there was no indication that she was doing anything but her job. Grow up.
@Bruce Wayne You shut the fuck up bitch!Stop disrespecting women!
No she is a woman doing an interview, stupid male.
Dumb questions….
“Page and I”. Really? I guess Jonesy and Bonzo were just passengers, eh Robert?
You done picking apart everything he says? Bonzo was his best mate and Jones wrote all of In Through The Out Door with Plant...
@@joeyhuebner10 hey. As I’m sure you know, Jonesy contributed a lot more than In Through the Outdoor. But regardless of Bonzo being his bud, Plant has thrown Jonesy under the bus many times. Teaming up with Page without Jones may have been hurtful to Jones but they had no obligation to include him. But calling the tour No Quarter, and the way Plant ridiculed him in the media when they asked why Jones wasn’t involved, I found to be surprising, and not so nice. Just my opinion as a fan.
@@Peterickenbacker1- It's the past. He's spoken highly of all three in the last 20 years.
the interviewer was terrible.
WTF??? She makes no sense, Plant makes no sense, the questions and answers make no sense, and I say this cuz I'm a musician and was at the time of this interview ... Oh I forgot it was the 80's, yeah I don't remember watching this interview at the time though I was a massive Led Zep Fan and 21 years old in 1988 ....wow!!!
Robert Plant, 12 desire meaningful conversation, was obviously bored with this person. You can see it in his eyes. I am the same way when I'm bored with someone.
Plant was always the Cringe factor ,of anything cringe regarding Zepp"! especially the daft puerile lyrics at times!
Boring
Mr. Jeff WHY YOU COME HERE THEN AND LOOK AT A SO CALLED IN YOUR OPINION A BORING INTERVIEW YOU REALIZE YOUR THE MINORITY ON THIS 😏
