I've seen WeedleTwineedle do this strat with espeon and stored power but I like the idea of using delphox with magician to steal the item after using the white herb. Very nice!
I love when Haydunn brings new strategies with Delphox, especially with the Magician dynamic (which honestly is a double-edged sword in some cases haha)
It is great to see video for Delphox, I have always thought with its stats if it has any good stats increasing move other than Calm Mind, especially for its Speed & Sp Attack it can become a good sweeper until Sucker Punch Comes. Don't know whether it is because of Greninja, but this mon kinda became underrated
That is a massive lengthy set up. Kind of hoping for an easier strategy-- but hell I love Delphox! All Delphox all the time! The only pokemon starter that has a psychic type mix.

Seems like you could just run Grass Knot over Dazzling Gleam since Slowking is more of a barrier than Dragon types, who mostly can't handle a +2 psychic or +2 Tera-Fire Flamethrower. Solar Beam could be fun too since you have the sun up (But it still won't secure an OHKO vs. AV Bro without a full stack of hazards or prior chip).

The lore behind weird movepool gen1 is that pokemon is not only a thought of bugcatching but also one of those japan mech shows. There is are superhero who fights sort of with pokemon alike monsters. And lot of our pokemon ar kaijus. Literally hyperbeaming, literally does german suplex with that ond fixed damage fighting move. And so one. TTar is also not godzilla. Its a similar, older brother of mentioned franchise. *If needed a explanation either matpad or nockstin done a deep dive into the TTar lore. Which at same Time a explanation for weird movepools. Also lot of monster egggroup do have this movepool. They are all weird lile that
heres a cool one i use, you know how gholdengo is usually a slow pokemom with paralize recover or just scarf. well i give mine Nasty plot+endure+salac berry+hex+make it rain, and a glimora for toxic spikes to boost hex dmg. so now u have +2spa +1spe and one shot anything that wont resist or have sucker punch with his typing he cant get extreme speeded or punched so he has immunity to a lot of priority just need to carefull of kingambit and we all know how good his ability is

Lol I did a similar strat but with prankster Riolu, also used white smoke torkoal to stop any intimidates ruining my Eject pack, almost got the riolu sweep against mono electric, it got paralysed but I just copycat my own earthquake which was the last used move at that time
So when I saw you originally do this with Vaporeon, I instantly researched what other Pokemon you could theoretically pull this off with and actually made a Delphox build nearly identical to yours LMAO
I knew technically this is your strategy but if you remember about it I was the one who suggested you to use this specific pair of torkoal and delphox in your old videos 😉 very fun to use
