>In BG3, You can Romance multiple partners
Wait, So I can play my character how he was meant to be play-
>Shadowheart, Karlach and Lae'zel will not consent to a ployamorous relationship with each other
LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE
Pretty sure Karlach is okey with you sleeping with other people and for Shadowheart I'm not sure
As for Laezul why does she care sex is nothing but pleasure to her furthermore she doesn't even believe in love
Welp time to start making bodys
@@odasengoku7314 no, karlach is Lawful Good. she's a surprisingly traditional girl.
Shadowheart and Karlach aren't comfy being in the same polycule? Even with both having high approval? Shadowheart does show vague interest in Karlach, at one point, so I'm a bit sad if romancing the one locks out the other from a polyamorous dynamic.
I wouldn't be too surprised if it would be a stretch to include Astarion, in the polycule...but those are the three characters I'd romance all at once, if the game mechanics could allow it. I adore all three, and I genuinely wanna look out for each of them, but I will admit I'll be feeling a tad bit disappointed if I can't just make my polycule unit. I can respect the nuances of characters having their wants, desires and boundaries, but I reeeeeally don't wanna pick between those three, they're all my darlings. 🥺
You can get a fivesome going with halsin and shadowheart
Give it up to humanity for finding ways to be on top. Our caveman ancestors would be proud
Pickle would be proud
They smashed Neanderthals and other hominids
@@KucingObesitas Rick would be proud.
@@awkwurdtalke-gamesandgamer8236 I think he's on about Baki
No, we killed the neanderthals.
Player: *absolutely engulfed in a sea of enemies*
Gale: *exists*
Enemies: _"How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man?!"_
I have gone to great lengths to make my Gale immortal including giving him 1 lvl in Cleric of Mystra, 1 lvl in White Dragon Sorcerer, Adamantine Splint, Warding Bond, and Abjuration School. He’s now Senator Armstrong.
Not having Gale in the Party means that Wyll gets the short end of the stick. He is pretty much my attention Carnifex.
@bastiat4855 but have you tried punching for 40 damage 10 times in a turn with Monk/Thief, or smite 6 times with Warladin, if we want to power game there are far more broken things tbh.
i killed gale then had to bring him back because if you don't the game ends so i killed him again took his stuff then revived him and left him naked in the woods hopefully the bears eat him
I found solucion for Gale to not die... Dont have him in party xD
BG3 enemies are literally programed to prioritize killing casters in your party first. Their agro is so strong that enemies will keep attacking them after they're downed, that's why Gale keeps dyeing. xD
does it work is you sub class caster ( like a barbarian or warrior and sub wizard? to keep aggro^^)
So, Bardbarian meta?
I mean in a world of magic where a dude can blow up 10 people vs a guy who hits you with his axe. Who are you gonna choose if you have common sense. I've noticed anything that has lower than 6 Int attacks whoever, but anyone else its smart to attack caster. As a Dm, I've made encounters where enemies will target caster. Caster can do lots of things to a group compared to one axe guy.
Personally, haven't felt this on the two runs I've completed with friends. It *is* true that sometimes (reasonably often) they will avoid your frontline to go for the back line, but it's not a guarantee hard agro. It might also be related to the AI calculating odds of hitting players (low AC seems to attract them), I haven't seen any difference on allies that can resist the damage vs not resist the damage. Concentration also seems to pull their attention by a little.
The best solution I've found is to try to position better and if you're off position, have someone who can cast Sanctuary, it's a REALLY strong defensive spell. There's also a few moves in the game that help with agro, like Goading Strike from Battlemaster Fighter.
That have sense. Mages are nukes with legs.
Shadowheart is really predictable. Imagine her like a good person who is being forced to be a bad guy, meaning avoid senseless cruelty, avoid being too altruistic, and try to talk your way around avoidable battles. She likes people who try to avoid bloodshed, but doesn't like siding with obvious senseless evil, so if avoiding bloodshed means she's allowing senseless cruelty, she'll generally be opposed. she also dislikes humiliation, that's her pride talking, so if avoiding battle means being subservient or making a fool out of yourself she generally will disapprove.
Also it's often safer to not pry into her secrets or judge her. Just did a normal playthrough (didn't go into doing any evil things) and I had no issues with the relationship, while avoiding all* persuasion checks as I didn't try to get her secrets out of her early.
If you get far enough, she'll also openly tell what kind of things she likes, so keep an eye out for that as it'll help you further.
Or you know just do what sharr worshiper would do...
@@justanotherLunny Not only did I judge her I got her to change
She is the only companion that you can use as a good or evil character. Out of all the characters she is the most susceptible to influence and as long as you keep her around she will eventually like you whether you are evil or not. Story wise it even makes sense why the artifact chose her first. Its likely because she is the most malleable character.
She's also an indoctrinated masochist. Too bad whips aren't a weapon type in BG3
That's why you need fire resistant charm, blight resistant and eat food for the fire resistance 😂😂😂
Monster hunter?
@@davidmartin9225 yes 😂
The reason why Shadowheart approves of being nice to kids ties in to the background she had in Early Access; before they switched her background to Acolyte, her past had been labelled as Street Urchin.
Though she's meant to have her memory tampered with by her fellow Sharrans, Shadowheart does still remember struggling as a kid, so that part of her does empathize enough to appreciate seeing other kids get better chances in life. It makes for a bittersweet nuance.
Interesting. Though on a sidenote amnesia doesn't change who you are.
You don't need to remember the life experiences that shaped your personality to have that personality.
@@YourLocalCopiumDealer argueable at the very least: if u dont like some specific food because u got forced to eat it as a child, but then lose the memory of said events, it might very well be that u like said specific food upon trying it for the "first time" in ur life as far as u rem. memories are a powerfull thing, and sure, someone that is kindhearted will most likely stay that way even with amnesia, but its not a guarantee at all, not in the slightest. i guess thats also why sometimes ppl just cant fall in love again with their partner after suffering from amnesia, if the memories are missing that made u fall in love in the first place, it might be impossible to "make it happen" again
"Fellow" Sharrwans. She was a Selunite child kidnapped and brainwashed.
As dnd dungeon master, it's so cool to see all these people learning dnd rules.
Apparently blasting a goblin using a tier 5 thunder beam will also blast though the wooden bridge where Shadowheart stands 🤣
Also Larian did a great job with simulating the tabletop experience with the multiplayer, rewarding creativity and how the game informs you when you fail a perception check. It's been decades since I last played tabletop, but I still remember the absolute terror a failed perception check can inspire. It's so much fun.
What if he would have failed the persuasion check after stealing the barrel? I must know. Does she go "Where's the boom? Where's the cell shattering boom?"
Did that with Astarion using a scroll of invisibility. She starts making her threat, sees the powder gone, and basically says "Well, sh*t." and leaves angrily.
@@ScrewBall105Nice, gonna do exactly this sometimes in tye future. That potential of such tomfoolery is too good to be left untouched.
@@ScrewBall105 so the game can adapt to your stupidity good to know i can fuck around or outwit a scenario preemptively
Balbuddy is going to have a field day with this.
My thoughts exactly.
I can't wait.😊
I can’t wait
Good cant wait for the Amazon mods for this.
Balbuddy's Gate 3?
My favorite is when you succeed on the perception check to detect a trap literally as your character is stepping on it...
This is why sometimes being encumbered is nice. Sure they mov3 slowly but they'll less likely run into their death.
Also right clicking will instantly stop them in place when you see someone success their perception checks.
This happened to me yesterday. And what made it worse was the fact that it was a trapped chest, so I lost the loot, too.
"Everybody wants to fluff each other" yep that's dnd
the only exception is if you make a literal skeleton with no genatalia. He ain’t down to bone if you got no sex drive ironically.😅
Nah that's quite literally welcoming your partner to the bone zone
"I too, would want to touch a literally blazing hot monster girl"
- Cultured Weeb
A hot woman is a hot woman.
as a barbarian player, that meme was perfect.
I'm a freaking half-orc to boot, lol. I named him Johan.
Lily: "W8aM? Dark Soul looks very odd a sudden?"
Ashley: "Lily, You donut!? you're playing Baldur gate because of the Memes. and i wanna see some demon Waifu, if there any of them?"
Melody: "Demon Waifu you say?"
It is via this video that I learned that there is more to this series than just a bear and a dude frickle frackling in a forest.
Trully, Noble is one of THE youtubers of all time
The squirrel is still hilarious
@@faktorijeleAh, the kick of death? Wonder if I can play as the most notorious druid who abuse every single animal in the game cause in real life I would never dare to do such thing.
It's weird, really. Irl I'm part of volunteers of animal rescuers yet in any game I always ended up as the most scummy person to ever lived.
9:15 so True. The most memorable Moment of our Campagne (Level 4, we just startet 2 months ago) was when our Barbarian failed his Strength-Check to keep a Hippogryph on the ground with a rope. He failed and he learned how to fly. He killed the Hippogryph, while flying through the air, just hanging on a bit of rope and would have died of fall damage, if not for his rage😂
Karlach is just too precious. My favorite companion by a mile and a half.
What about minthrala? She's also nice.
@@ap_trial666 I have yet to murder the grove. Still on my good play through.
Welp, looks like I'm maxing out my alchemy to make the best fire resistance potion known to the realms... ooh, if Larian comes out with an artificer class, I want to play it.
The gnome on the windmill... I Lithilid my way out of that combat, go in the windmill, and I find the lever.
The first one I see is "release".
Release then.
_Yyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!_ 💀
To be honest I would also go straight for the magic user. Not many hit points and potential damage is crazy
@techpriestessmicaela8441The only exception would be when you encountered high level druid who actively shapeshift.
You're quite literally obliged to put that thing down as soon as possible while focusing every resources you have. Taking it down in single round is absolutely important.
@@ap_trial666 yeah druids are a wild card. Makes for an air if apprehension just by showing one in a campaign and having your entire party question whether that random field mouse is an evil shapeshifter or not
@@mudpie6927 Oui, I like suspension. Putting your party in an edge is always nice.
You know nobles sleep schedule is messed up when he records in the day
Pretty logical to attack the wizard with a nuke in his chest over a barbarian who can hit you…twice.
7:59 phone Chan is the newest addition to the Lost pause squad
You call them "save scammers", I call them "people with sanity".
@techpriestessmicaela8441 Yeah, you're right. Misspelled a bit.
You know who is perfect for Karlach? Hellboy, he’s fireproof and has a similar personality.
1:30 "Everybody wants to fluff everybody." Sounds about right for a DnD game, after all the best description of most DnD Parties is "Dysfunctional family of chaotic, bisexual, kleptomaniacs set everything on fire and flirt with anything capable of consent."
Only you can prevent Dungeon fires, kill the wizard first.
I like how there is a decent number of Romance partners in the game, and most of the people playing the game have just decided that Karlach is best girl lol.
She is Buff, she is Wholesome but at the same time very thirsty, and has the best personality among the companions.
she has the personality of a golden retriever. and its not a problem in the slightest
I’d wouldn’t call it romance, but just lust, it feels like a generic dating sim, where to whole goal is to get laid instead of achieving a relationship
@@puddingsimon2626 It really depends on which relationship your talking about. With Astarian, yeah thats just lust, that dude really wants sex. But with Karlach, Shadowheart (depending on how she changes), and a couple other ones, the relationship grows deeper. Going through Hell with somebody can make the connection that much deeper, love blossoms on the battlefield as they say.
@@KumaChrisVT Astarion isn't craving sex, he's craving protection; some people claim he even **hates** sex, but it's something he weaponized when under Cazador's control. And with two hundred years' worth of being used like that, he continues to use what he knows as a means to find safety from being captured and abused again. The spawn was pimped out for centuries...there is no doubt the guy's fucking traumatized. And it's scary how much it parallels many real-world horror stories...
@@Daelyah Ah, I assume that gets talked about in Act 3, I hadn't gotten that far yet. I'm doing 3 different runs at the moment and im not hoping into Act 3 until all three are done with Act 2. Doing a Blind Run, a Hero Run (100% Good Options), and a Dark Urge psychopath run. I use the Blind Run to make mistakes and learn from them, in order to perfect the other two runs. Currently on the Evil run atm.
The only interactions I have had with Astarian so far have him being fairly thirsty in more ways then one. he is also the only companion that will like that you follow the dark urges, from what I have seen so far, not sure if he ever changes his mind. My Dark urge run is only My character and Him, with me playing a War Cleric (Very difficult but very fun).
7:00 To quote a Shadowrun meme: "Geek the mage first"
Same goes Ishuzoku for Baldur's Gate 3 and Fire princess with adventure time. Get the fire res ring thanks to Crim's invulnerability research
The fire princess and Finn have oddly enough been referenced a lot then.
I love taking a break from lost pause videos so I can have months of content to binge watch all his videos at once it’s the best feelings. This guy always makes me laugh when I have a bad day.
11:00, Ive been playing a gray haired barbarian since launch with my friends and we got to act 3 before they realized my charecter wasnt a red head xD
Thats actually pretty funny.
“What color is your hair?”
“The blood of my enemies!”
0:30
The dynamic also reminds of me of Shionne, from "Tales of Arise". Except instead of heat/fire, it's a curse of thorns.
Thats cause hes a wizard. Always go for the wizard...
And wizard, as alway, run in front of every tank to tank the damage…
I think we can all agree that a wholesome dommy mommy who has a obvious attraction to you and makes that clear is something we all can get behind.
5:50 I think save scumming is good for the first playthrough so you can have the events happen to get the story you want.
Then if you feel like mixing up the story you do full RNG on the next playthrough
I'm just a fan of save scumming. I love it, especially to counter unfair glitches, bugs, or spontaneous crashes.
I mean I dislike critical failures and successes in skill checks and at the moment that is a thing (it shouldn't be). I mean if my character has a proficiency bonus of 10, I should not ever have to fail a check that requires anything less than this. Until this is fixed then I will practice save scumming.
Also it should be possible for you to switch party member when you get sucked into unexpected dialogue.
@@nathanthom8176pickpocketing a dc of 3 with +7 to the bonus and you get a critical failure is infuriating
I like the part where Noble said “shut up, phone”, that was random and funny.
Skyrim male dark elf: I'm four parallel universe ahead of you.
6:51
You have no idea what it felt to used compelled duel, the literal spell that says "HEY TARGET ME" only to get ignored, having Gale get Sniped by EVERY SINGLE CREATURE IN EXISTENSE ESPECIALLY THE GUY I TARGETTED ON! Jesus Christ I had to waist all my spell slots just to tank the damage
0:07
Right, cause if you touch me, I'll get barbecued.
*[Ainz buffing scene intensifies]*
Why is Noble shouting ,” Shut Up Phone” during an rant more funnier to me in this entire video lol. 😂
My first death was talking to the dying mind flayer at the crsh site. I rolled 1. I got on hands and knees and fed my brain to him lol.
BG3 is just Smash or Pass: the Game
Dude i saw a sexy goblin... help.
@@xxXXRAPXXxx shortstack?
Still can't get over the fact everyone is praising this but if an anime game did the same fkn thing it would be bad and ppl would be bitching
It wasn't until the release of Baulder's Gate 3 that I found out that there is a 1 and 2. I have NEVER heard of this series until recently.
Well it's been 24 years since 2 came out. So it's understandable depending how young you are.
Here's how good this game is.
I've completed it, but I'm still wary of spoilers.
I've never played DnD and this game is the first one i play in this genre... my first playtrough I've been using a Barbarian and I LOVE IT!!!!!! 4:46
I would love to see more Baldur's Gate 3 memes! Thank you for the video, Noble. :3
MORE BALDURS GATE CONTENT
THAT LAST CUTSCENE BIT WAS HILLARIOUS!!! 😂😂😂
And that’s why I used a feat to make Gale a little more tankier
My Drow Rogue has expertise in Sleight of Hand (plus Advantage thanks to some very nice gloves), so if it's a DC 10 lock, I literally can't fail unless I roll a 1. I still grab Guidance off Shadowheart. Every time.
OMG, that's meme at 1:52 is a Star Trek TNG reference. Everyone's on the bridge, Riker has been turned into a Q, and he creates a Klingon woman for Worf.
Then these exact lines are said.
06:13 no need to call me out like that
My party literally just encountered that bomb lady tonight. I was looking around when the room just exploded out of nowhere lmao
1:19 all of us all my good sir! We all are!!!!!
Save scumming reminds me of those little monologues we got in Prince of Persia: Sands of Time whenever he died or something that wasn't supposed to happen happened
Where is this thing with wolves on Shadowheart? The only wolf I've encountered was Rath's buddy in the Druid Grove.
Surely they will come later.Just collect enough spears to deal with them once the time comes :)
See, in DnD that persuasion check should have been a pass. Nat 1 or not, they had proficiencies and in the main rules you can't fail a skill check due to the rolling of a 1. That's only for attacks failing on a nat 1.
But it's not DnD, it's Baldurs Gate 3.
And no matter if attack roll, saving throws, or skill checks, natural 1 is a Critical Fail and natural 20 is a Critical Success.
To change that, someone would have to make a mod.
Playing a Kenku Bard in a game with a few friends once a week-- and I can attest to Guidance being very good. I stack it on others with a D8 Inspiration now. It's turned failures into successes repeatedly. Ca-caw. :)
That openning scene is like that one episode of interspecies reviewers where they were chatting w the salamander girl and eating cooked food off her body. B4 angel boi gets some snu snu
Everyone knows you kill the guy in robes first. Armored tanks hit you hard, but wizard will turn the whole battlefield into a bbq pit.
From Skyrim days to D&D... stealing one barrier at a time💯😭🤣🐐
Gale: Low HP + Low AC + High Threat. He's the most optimal and logical target.
You can put light armor and a shield on him, BTW.
these are amazing. i've been too balls deep into BG3 to actually look at any memes
Everyone should be terrified that the barb gets to hit people twice in one turn. Don't waggle your glowing fingers like you're not scared.
whenever i hear the baldurs gate theme,
the lyrics automatically change in my head to:
"down, down, down, goes the wizard~"
TBH the first thing that came to my mind with the first scene was ishuzoku reviewers salamander.
7:00 yeah that adds up, everyone knows you take out the spellcaster ASAP. He hasn't turned you into a sheep or set you on fire with his mind... yet... and as long as you kill his ass he will never get the chance.
Noble: "I still haven't figured out Shadowheart's deal. I know she don't like wolves though."
Me Who Unlocked this Scene at 7 AM: **Feeling a little more smug as I chug down my Mountain Dew keeping myself from passing out again** "Heh heh...Poor guy."
= = = = =
Seriously just don't judge her Lifestyle. If she brings up Lady Shar just nod. Nod as much as you can even if you're a Paladin of one of the nicer orders and everything she's telling you makes you want to scream "SITH ELVES! SIIIITTH" Just nod. I mean if my Half Orc Barbarian with a cowboy hat (I am still flabbergasted to find this was in the game in a random person the ship crashed on no-less lol ) can do this surely your character can.
Also just leave Lae'zel back at camp for a while. Remember you can multiclass other character besides yourself AT ANY LEVEL. Seriously this feature has allowed me to really build some neat things like after getting the best stuff for Rogue Making Astarion into a Stealth Ranger. Little expensive on weapons but he doesn't miss abd with added magics from coss classing he can just sneak around while his pet rat, crow or cat tormet my enemies. XD Rangers
Also I fully agree with any enemy targeting Gale as wizards in this game are actually quite OP when learn everything/have several broken wizard builds just laying around. Heavy armored wizard Gale says "Now you can't damage me AND I have a lightning shield. Good luck ever getting an arrow though."
6:57 When the AI in another game is smarter then most LoL players
Mobs in BG3 : Get the squishy, skinny one !
Players in LoL: Focus the tank first
10:33 happened to me with some traps with 3/4 members of my party, was sweating until Astarion came in and was like "oh, traps, how kind of them"
I swear whenever someone in my party dies it’s almost always Gale. The dude’s a freakin glass cannon! His magic can do a lot of damage but he’s so frail. One time when he was dead his projection was going on about how to bring him back with this very elaborate and confusing method. But thanks to a bug my party was losing health from this necrotic aura and no amount of long rests was fixing it. So I thought “fuck this” and went to camp and paid the skeleton guy to bring him back.
2:45 I didn't expect to see Snow here, that's wild.
0:25 or Ishushoku Reviews 😂
Been waiting for this one for a long time.
0:11 seller: wait you want a gallon jug of a fire resistance potion?
Me:YES, NOW SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!
5:49 😂I do this so much I won’t lie lmao
Rolling 2 nat ones for friendship is nothing when you miss a 99% chance to not only hit the opponent, but kill them. I've done this in FE: Fates.
I gave Gale a level in storm sorcery so he can fly every single time he casts a spell to run away
I was playing with a twitch friend of mine, she was in a cutscene while I was in the background just throwing a singular sheep around, as a oathbreaker paladin... GOTY.
The thumbnail version of the demon is so much hotter then ingame version
Upgrades people ! UPGRADES!!
How to smash every companion. Step one, find a very, very, very tall cliff. Step two, throw.
what i do to avoid instant gale death is misty step somewhere high while also wearing items that allow me to lessen projectile damage on top of 3 people with counter spell i only use when they target him. he hits big damage every turn so i do everything to keep him up
Everyone wanting to *FLUFF* is just standard dnd
*all party failed perception check
Me : "well i don't know what it is, but i knew something is out there... and that what scares me"
I learned you can use a smokepowder cask from your camp if u picked one up previously to blow up the rubble.
Everyone goes for gale 'cause wizard, no armor and straight up low AC xD
Just slap some heavy armor on the poor boy, doesn't matter if he's proficient or not 🤣
That man will drink fire resist til he becomes fire.
Have you seen Dirt League’s Charisma Overload?
“NO! There is no way you defeat the demon lord like this!”
“I HAVE DECIDED TO NO LONGER BE EVIL!”
7:00 That's because the standard combat rules are step 1 "Geek the casters" & that's it.
That's for all my fellow Shadowrunners out there.
10:09 tbh I contribute a lot of the game’s success to the dnd like system used and it’s pure freedom of choice which makes it have the marks that a good dnd campaign would have but as a video game
Ennemies: "mess up with the guy with a sword, or kill the mage who can LITTERALLY DO THE VAARSUVIUS RANT?!?!?"
(yes that is a The Order Of The Stick joke)
man i feel this so badly XD i never thought a voice actor could make me think unwise and just AWAKEN something inside of me like Astarions did.... love this bunch of pixels, best character, 2nd is Karlach and 3rd is Shadowheart. I simp more over these characters than i did in fire emblem conquest/revelations lmao
anyone here in the comments find the summon quasit spell scroll? i have a talkng demon familiar now named shovel he has his own back story and personality in combat when he frightens enemies...larian went deep into this with hidden things you find randomly.
I almost sold it because nothing said anything about that it was special.
As he mentions flame princess and finn. Im looking at another youtuber who uploaded a picture of jake wrapping fin in bandages while flame princess is laying naked on the bed in the back.
Love it.
I only did load games when something weird happens because of a bug. For instance i saved this kid from harpies and then i get attacked by the tieflings in the druid grove because they taught I killed the kid.
Me and my Bro decided that we wouldn't Save Scum, and also if we wiped we would start over as new characters...
Our current playthrough went downhill fast...We made the town angry in act one...made the druids angry...The goblins were our only friends...which made Wyll angry...and Karlach angry...and Halsim angry...and so we have 2 companions...Lae'zel is dead after getting yeeted off a bridge for insulting my Barb Brother. Halsim and Wyll attacked us...Karlach refused to talk to us at all.
And honestly we are having a blast with this crazy unique experience.
The barbarian one got me haha.
