    The point at 8:17 was a fine display of just how dangerous DelPo was off of both sides when his wrists were fully healthy. His FH was, without a doubt, the scariest shot on tour, but his BH was not too shabby. Most guys have a stronger wing and weaker wing. You really couldn't call his BH a weakness. He would hit it hard, hit it deep, and hit it consistently, which only made his FH that much more scary.

    Pretty down to know Del Potro took a full-time season last time in 2017 and the injury took almost half of his playing career. Only hopes for the success and best of health on his knee surgery this year.

    Whenever Nadal loses to Delpo his fans come up with excuses 😅😅😂😂.....Usopen 2009 and Us open 2018 are prime examples for that.... Rafa was tired, Rafa was injured etc etc😅😂😂

      He really had a legit stomach issue at the USO 09. And in 2018 he literally stopped playing after 1st set, why wd he do that if he's healthy? He lost the 1st in 17 too, but won the match.
      Miami 09 is a deserved victory. Del Po can beat anybody on a given day. When Nadal loses and he's injured, it's not an excuse, it's the truth.

      Nadal ne sait pas perdre avec dignité..il est nonchalant et agressif notamment avec le personel. A la fin du match il fait des câlins uniquement quand il gagne. Ce n'est pas un type gentil..je ne crois pas.

    si del Potro hubiera tenido buena salud habría ganado, mínimo, 7 Gran slam porque tenía cualidades pero las lesiones constantes no lo ayudaron... es más, una vez dijo que casi siempre jugaba con dolor o que tenía que usar calmantes algo así.. una pena

      @@apathak34 It's crazy how these fanboys exclude Nadal from the 2004-2007 period. Like didn't Federer play an amazing young Nadal at RG in 2005, 06, 07 and Wimbledon 2006 and 2007? Heck even old Agassi was better and more consistent than young Del Potro.

    • @apathak34
      @apathak34 3 года назад +2

      @@SHVideografie Not to mention that Federer has dominated everyone else (other than Nadal and Djokovic) till last year.
      If the competition is so strong now, why are they still losing to such an old and declined Federer?
      Prime Federer would totally dominate this supposedly "better competition".

      Federer double bageled him in the aus open same year, then they played a close match in French and then finally delpo beat Federer in us, else federer would have won 4 slams in a row, those two final losses actually 3, 2008 Wimbledon, 2009 aus open and 2009 us open were very close

    prime delpo vs prime rafa nice

  • @diegoartazcoz2390
    @diegoartazcoz2390 3 года назад

    Key takeaways:
    - Delpo would have been so good for tennis if he was at 100% more consistently. Would have robbed much more GS to the Big 3. Even his BH sucks here, it is way better than his 2017 form.
    - Nadal has been always such a good player at the net and with variety, especially since 2009 forward. That BH slice is quite tricky.
    - Nadals FH in 2009 was soooo bad (except AO). Way too overspinny, with no power and quite often short shot. It makes live quite easy to Delpo that captalizes to step in and bomb his FH left, right and center. Key point in this match tbh.
    - Last but not least: Key Biscayne >>>>>>>>>> Hard Rock Stadium. Nobody can argue against that.
