Thank you for the video. I just noticed it on my suggestion list. I am Harry's youngest son. I grew up watching my Dad put all of it together. He'd be stunned to see all of the videos of the railroad on youtube. I'd like to thank both Bill Sechler and Carver McGaughey for their continued dedication there with the ICV.
Oh Very very welcome Greg, my video doesn't do it justice. You definitely should be proud of your father's work. So very happy you had people like Bill and Carver to help keep his legacy alive. Can't thank carver and Bill for letting wilmer show me the layout on the day I was there. You definitely have something there to be proud of. Appreciate you watching and for this great comment... Pappy
Mr. Clark your father is an inspiration to me. I have a question. In Model Railroader Magazine video I heard the roundhouse was damaged by a visitor and your dad had to rebuild it. He said he wanted to choke the person who did it.😂 (I don’t blame him) How did the visitor go about damaging it? Thank you
I was fortunate to visit Harry’ place several times in my teens. He and his friend George P. from Maryland used to put on quite a good show. Harry was quite the modeler. In the lower level of his layout building/garage, he had a fully scale scratch built display of the full sawmill operations at Cass WV. It was very impressive as well.
Thats awesome, that is a great childhood memory, I am so glad they saved it, and now more people get to share Harry's hard work and labor of love.. appreciate you watching and leaving this comment
Thank you really appreciate this comment. I do agree we have lost so much. Not only in modeling and museums, but in the railroads them selves. Really appreciate you watching
Harry Clark was like an adopted grand dad I never had. Wife and I met him in 1985. He taught me nearly everything I know teaching me all his scenery techniques. Miss him very much. You did a great job showing his masterpiece! Thanks! He and his lovely wife Dorthy were wonderfull!
Thats awesome you were taught by a true talent..I was pressured for time, as the group I was with was leaving, looking back I would of captured it differently if I had more time. I'm glad you liked it and did it justice. So cool you got to meet him, let a lone be taught by him.. really appreciate this comment and you watching..
Thank you Darrell, so happy you enjoyed it. The turn table was most impressive. Glad I could share it with you, and so happy that this rich peice of history was saved and preserved for future generations. Always appreciate you watching
Great to see this layout preserved and operational. I was fortunate enough to see it at Harry Clark’s home, probably in 1986/87, and was so impressed. I’m happy to know it’s still in existence. Thank you for sharing this video.
Very welcome, so glad I could share this with you. That is awesome you got to see it back then.. I've only seen it in model railroader magazine and was super excited to see it in person. And to know that basically a town came together to preserve this work of art.. your comment means alot. And glad you know it still lives on in a safe place.. appreciate you watching
I had the privilege of meeting Harry Clark and seeing the ICV not long before it was moved the first time. Great to see the layout restored. My favorite parts are Cass and the handmade control panel.
Thats awesome you got to meet Harry, would of been an honor for sure, his work is outstanding. I am with you, Cass and that control panel is a work of art.. really appreciate you watching
So glad you enjoyed it Dave. Yeah if you ever get that way, get ya a breakfast or a lunch and check it all out, very enjoyable in person. Always appreciate you watching
That's one Great Layout Pappy. If we all only had the extra Room. I kept watching and hoping you would give a good overview of his CASS Section and you did and Thank You. Thanks for the Shout out Pappy. Matt
🤣🤣 I knew you would love that. I just couldn't leave with out getting you guys a special shot, and give you a shout. He went there and took all the measurements of every building so he could model it correctly. I didn't show it, but he even had the switch backs up that big mountain. So glad you enjoyed it. And happy to share it. Hope you have a great weekend.
Thank you Derek, it is a very impressive layout. And yes Dave and Wilmer were great day out buddies... but this visit was made possible by Wilmer.. and I couldn't of been more greatfull.. so happy I could share it with you.. thanks for watching
It was definitely a marvel to behold, most days I agree, no bells, or clashing engine noises, just the pure layout.. glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching

Wow! Fantastic layout. A huge thanks to all the people who were/are involved with its creation and preservation. Truly something worth saving. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Pappy, you've definitely caught the essence of the Indian Creek Railroad. I advise anyone in the Connellsville area to stop in the Connellsville Canteen. Good food and an awesome museum for all ages. Thanks for this terrific video. God bless you my friend.......Uncle Wilmer
Thank you Wilmer for such a great day you shown Dave and I. And for sharing this amazing piece of history with us. so glad you enjoyed it, and i hope i did it some kind of justice and thank you for your kind words. Hope you have a great and blessed weekend. Thanks for your friendship.
Beautiful layout! I’m so glad it’s been saved. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve started thinking about what will happen to my model Train collection of over fifty years once I’m gone. I would love to find a building to put it all in and hopefully keep it together for future generations.
I agree Mark, layout was amazing. If you have that big of a train collection, it would definitely be worth looking into preserving it some how. So glad you liked today's videoand always thankfull you watch.. have a good weekend

What an amazing layout, that round house is awesome, the details are top notch.. is the waterfall real? Moved to fast to see it.. really impressive is the truth! Thanks for sharing Pappy!! 😊 nice shout out to Matt & Jeb..
Thank you Jorge, the water fall was not real but looked great. I totally agree the round house and turn table was awe inspiring. So glad you enjoyed it. When I seen Cass modeled so perfectly. Matt and Jebb was all I could think about, had to get it in for them. Thanks for watching Jorge
Wow! Where do you start, just stunning. The deadicated facility and cafe is a tremendous idea and a credit to the funders. As to the model l can only say that it genuinely looks like the railway has been bulit in an existing landscape. The rocks, timber yard, marshalling yard , buildings and cameo scenes are superb, and these are just a small sample of what is pure perfection. Thank you to it's creator, the people who continue his work and the video makers.
Awesome, I agree with your whole comment, it is definitely a work of art, there is so much to take in.. so glad you enjoyed the video and really appreciate you watching..
Very nice presentation. It was awesome. It's good to see this preserved. We had a beautiful o gauge layout of city of Nashville and somehow during the move fromone building to a newer structure. It didn't fit in to the new theme. They dumbed down the museum where they basically turned it into a indoor glorified jungle gym. The layout has been lost to history even though some of the structures were save at the Tennessee Central RR Museum.
Thank you very much, it is such a beautiful piece of model history.. so glad the community saved Harry's work.. sorry to hear about your layout.. if you have videos and pictures it will help to keep it alive.. Really appreciate you watching and for this comment
You did a great job with the narration in the beginning. loved that old house and out house build. They really put a lot of work into this build. Imagine yourself trying to put all those wires together in the control panel. 😁wow and it turns to place the train on a certain track, amazing! So much attention to detail, really life looking if you ask me. OMG, That bridge - WOW. Mr. Clark sure did a great job. Great video Pappy, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thank you so much, yes this layout is truly a marvelous thing to see and so glad they preserved it for future generations to enjoy, the wires blew my mind. Incredible craftsmanship. So glad you enjoyed it... and happy to have shared it.
Thank you Dwight it sure is, Mr. Clark's craftsmanship is incredible. So glad I got to see it off the magazine pages. Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching
Definitely awesome. Just an amazing work. I love it. Can you imagine if there’s derailment, do they have an easy access to hard to reach areas? Or they dangle like Tom Cruise MI. 😀. Thanks for sharing your video with us.
Tom Cruise 🤣🤣🤣 I can picture that... they have a few access points and they can walk behind it in spots. It was amazing in person. So glad you enjoyed it Dru, always appreciate you watching and your friendship
That’s absolutely amazing Pappy, WOW. I’m most definitely checking that out, Connellsville is about 20min from me. Plus I can check out the CSX yard while I’m up there. That layout is just ridiculous lol, the turntable, rail yard, stockyard, lumberyard, everything is amazing! This is a very special place for sure Pappy!👍🏼😁🇺🇸
Glad ya liked it Stretch. You definitely need to get up there grab some lunch and check out the layout. Check the pinned link for our day with wilmer, there's some other things in the area you can check out as well. You can make a whole Day of it. Appreciate you watching.
It is so nice that his layout did not die with him. These railroads represents a huge amount of money never mind the amount of time and labor invested in them. They are an asset to the house that they are in like the same way a swimming pool is. If you were a model railroader and you can buy a beautiful house and get a beautiful layout for free that would be the icing on the cake. Some companies that sell modular layouts like Dunham studios will take the old one apart and sell it for the widow so she can get some money out of it and someone else can get a beautiful museum-quality layout at a bargain price. I even saw a advertisement for a real estate service that specializes in selling houses that have a model railroad that is not movable. I also saw an advertisement for a nursing home exclusively for model railroaders. It was in Ohio so it's like who cares if it's snow 9 months of the year when you're inside the building running a layout anyway.
Oh yeah an old folks home for model railroaders, I think that would be for me, so had you enjoyed the video, I too was so happy this layout was saved, I appreciate you watching
Very nice job on the narration in the beginning and throughout the video . I can't even point to one thing and say WOW beside this entire layout is WOW . The trestles are impressive . What a shame that Mr Clark's story wasn't caught on video . He would have been an interesting person to meet and spend a few hours talking to . Thanks for sharing his story and lifes work with us. BTW any idea how long this took to build ?
Thank you very much Jerry, appreciate thr kind words. The trestles were impressive as was the turn table but yes all of it is amazing. I'll have read some articles again, I know I read it somewhere on how long he worked on this layout. Definitely would have been a great interview. Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed it.
What a huge layout. All that detail. So awesome. Just wow😮! I do have one question, how do they reach a train that derails in the back of the layout. Are there hollow mountains??? Removable scenery?? Thanks for sharing Pappy!
Thanks Eric so very glad you enjoyed it. It's hard to tell but they can walk behind the layout. It looks like it's up against the wall but there's a gap and there was an access panel in the one spot in the center. And I went underneath to see the wirering below the control panel. So they might access the hole from there. Again always appreciate you watching my friend.
Interesting ! I see that there is a plug system for the tracks. I’m familiar with Dynatrol, so is that what he was using, or some system that he invented?
Oh I wish I could answer that, not really sure.. I was just so amazed by it all, I forgot to ask important questions.. glad you enjoyed it, appreciate you watching
It's was and awesome thing, I seen pictures they moved the entire section of the house, if you look at the part of the video in the beginning where I showed underneith you can see the house chimney that had to take with it. Incredible. Thanks for watching Heath, glad you enjoyed it.

Seriously. I make a recommendation on how to do better video and that's your response?
Charge on with your fire hose technique then.
@@easternsprails I don't recall anyone asking you for a recommendations on how to make better videos according to you .
I loved the content but your camerawork and editing leave a bit to be desired.
I only had a certain amount of time to be in there so I caught as much as I could. But I do appreciate you watching
For somebody that doesn't have any content, you got a lot to say
Never seen something this mad before. Just wow!
Thank you, thanks for watching
