    The nice thing in today wood furniture making is thanks technology You don't need to even know how manipulate to a saw, only design something in rhinoceros and a cnc robot will do the hard work, you only need to put all the parts together, and sand. The final result is better, but I think there is something wrong in the way of how they sell it, all this enterprises tell You "this is a design chair, designed by the finnish blablabla, Yes, I know, but is made by a machine. Also the fact of price, this chair is probably a bit expensive and has no human effort in it and is made in mass.
    I don't know, is my thought.

      +juan barlocco I will always value more something made by a human (if it's hand made, then even more) than something massproduced by robots.

      @stefanist7815 8 лет назад +1

      +juan barlocco if it is that easy why you dont take rhinoceros and make something :)

    • @angelfiga
      @angelfiga 8 лет назад +1

      simple, 'cause I've no money to buy a CNC machine.

    • @jonq8714
      @jonq8714 8 лет назад +1

      +juan barlocco what? You don't have $100,000 laying around for a CNC setup like this? What is this, amateur hour? ;)

      These guys probably over price their product but mass produced items like these means you can afford it deff not cheap though, whats the point of hand made if only a couple can afford it and brag bout how they are hand made and expensive lol. So stop complaining at the end of the day they are making good money and your no where near.

    Some would say these looks good because of the big and expensive machines. But a real artisan can make the same or even better with less.

    I guess sanding a piece of wood that was beautifully shaped by a robot makes you an artisan.........

    • @bolderiks
      @bolderiks 7 лет назад +4

      I'm sure they will make you a clone chair entirely by hand for 10 times the price and you - and only you - will call it artisan.

    • @bensallee3953

      having access to a cnc isn't cheap, and designing in rhino and similar software takes dedication and practice. if a truly handmade chair is what you are after, there is a demand and a supply for that, but the cnc makes so many more things possible for a craftsman. We have to make a living too, and it is time consuming and hard physical labor to do things all by hand.

    • @Maloy7800
      @Maloy7800 6 лет назад

      Having access to a CNC is VERY cheap. I honestly don't know the exact prices for those, but Kuka robots can be bought for as little as $5,000 on ebay. This kind of production doesn't need a complex CNC, so I'm quite sure they can be bought cheaply.

      Maloy7800 5000 for a 5axis CNC??! ! Please stop post useless comments, my CNC cam software already 4000 and I have to pay yearly. U have no idea about furniture business.

    Seriously?! Everyone saying what a beatiful chair? They are using a planer with hands only with small pieces. They are sanding without protection to the "artisans" that use crappy dowels with no glue. This is an OSHA nightmare.
