Sam Long: "You regret the things you don't try for at life" | Ironman Frankfurt 2024

It was a surprise when Sam Long appeared on the Ironman Frankfurt start list earlier this week. The American saw the opportunity to qualify for the World Championships in Hawaii at the Ironman European Championships. The conditions for this are not bad: out of over 80 starters, 18 athletes have already qualified for Kona.
Es war eine Überraschung, als Sam Long Anfang der Woche auf der Startliste des Ironman Frankfurt auftauchte. Der US-Amerikaner sah die Möglichkeit, sich bei der Ironman-EM für die Weltmeisterschaft auf Hawaii zu qualifizieren. Die Voraussetzungen dafür sind nicht schlecht: Von über 80 Startern sind bereits 18 Athleten für Kona qualifiziert.
