We have been saving up for the bigger BLUETTI.. and have been wondering why there wasn’t much mentioned of them before now .. glad to know you have tested one on the road ..as we are definitely getting one! Glad you enjoy the portability for your video sharing… we would miss thatcif you weren’t all charged up lol😅
Thanks, Sandy! I think they're a great option depending on your setup and power needs. If you decide to buy one using the link in this video description gives us a little kick-back 😉
Love all ur vids guys, this one I learnt so much - I have a portable battery which I now know what it’s capable of. Thank you so much Looking forward to more Tassie vids so I can talk hubby into taking our zone there!
You can add battery capacity by adding a LiPo external battery pack to it.. At home, I have it connected to two forklift batteries and two 100w solar panels.
Great presentation, we have an Itech unit. No second battery in the car, it performed really well running the fridge on the GRR, this new unit would be the great
Your review was perfect timing as I was just looking at this system as a backup system for the BLUETTI AC300 + 1*B300 + Solar kit You mention some great pros and cons that we didn’t think of. Our friend did see a con with these “all in one” system is that if it’s your primary power station and something in it brakes, being all in one, I would assume your whole system is down. So I thought why not have a big primary one and this tiny one as the back up so your are not completely up sh!t creek without a paddle if something stops working .
Very good review. I think your comment about the small battery is very pertinent. It would be very good if a an external 100-200Ah battery could be connected to extend the energy storage capacity.
Well done Simon for being upfront with how you received the bluetti 👏🏻. Just not sure still on the fence if we need one or have enough use to justify the purchase probably if I didn’t have a 2nd battery then it might be worth it. 🤷🏼♂️ but good review 👍
Portable solar is definitely a big ✔️ as most times you try and camp in the shade which is not such a good idea for roof mounted solar. Also portable systems are good in the right applications 👍
Thanks for the review. I just bought one but have to wait for delivery. Do you know if I can top it up with a Waeco battery pack? I hope that will see me running my fridge overnight and then recharge with solar during the day?
I would love a bluetti ac200max, I could join two folding blankets together and plug the van straight in and run the aircon, just waiting for the price to come down to something more realistic. And for the bride to look in the wrong direction 😢😂
Nice review. Looks like you were wandering around River and Rocks Rd near CB. Nice to see you in our neck of the woods!
Thanks. Good spotting, yes we camped up there for a few days!
Looks like you're walking around a carpark in river and rocks near Coles Bay. Magic place, hope the clouds lifted while you were visiting 👍
Yes it was!

Sounds like a great plan! If you use the link in the description when buying, it helps us out. Cheers.

I think you'd be better off just getting one of the bigger units
Hi Simon grate presentation still not sure if we need one but will look into it 😊
Thanks Leon!

Thanks mate. I know what it's like trying to figure out what you need and what you don't. It can be tricky.
Fantastic advice 👏 👌
Glad it was helpful!
That was a timely video for me, as a tent camper Ive been wondering how I could take my laptop as I dont have a set up to run 240v. Cheers Cheryl 🙂
Glad it was helpful!
Greta video mate
Thank you
I had nothing but problems with mine, I sent it back
That's interesting. Ours has been great!

Very true!
How well does it charge off the cigarette input though?
You're limited by the output of a cig socket but it works well.
Have you guys considered Starlink? I’m wondering about how well it works and how much power it draws. I’m thinking it is about 2A.
We've just started using it. It uses quite a lot. Closer to 5A @ 12v I think

I'm not familiar with the Waeco battery pack but it might be possible.
