I've just got back from Alaska and just can't stop watching videos from other people's cruises - I couldn't believe quite how stunning it was - unbelievable!

Thank you for watching! Our tour was booked directly through Holland America. Our cruise ship pulled up to the entrance of Tracy arm fjord where our excursion boat met us. If you have a stop at Tracy arm fjord for your sailing, check the excursion options. Ours was about six or seven hours. Part of the reason it was so long was because our cruise ship sailed to Juneau, so we had to saill all the way back there to meet up. If your cruise ship is going to be hanging out in the fjord for the day, your excursion option will be shorter. It will likely still be the same type of experience. I had researched other cruise line options, and they all had very similar experiences, including the glacierita! Thank you again for watching, and let us know if you have any other questions!

I think the excursions on HAL are very similar pricing to what we have seen on carnival. Depending upon what port you were at, and what you were doing, you can find an excursion anywhere from $35 to thousands. Most fall under $200 though! Thanks for watching!
Hi there, really nice video and recommendation on the Tracy arm fjord. Can I check with you, est what time you guys back to Juneau? As I'm planning to book also the seaplane glacier in Juneau but I've check most departure time is at 1330pm so I worried I can't book 2 tours in a day 😅😅😅
It would depend on who you are sailing with and how long your excursion is supposed to be. Ours was from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. We did stay on time. So when we booked our excursion, it said we would be leaving at 9:30 and it would be a six hour excursion. When we got to Juneau at 3:30, we had some lunch on the ship and then explore Juneau for a bit. Mainly to grab a drink at Red Dog! I would have loved to book a whale watching tour, but we did end up seeing a lot of whales from our cruise ship and of course the orcas in this video!

We had a small group whale and glacier trip booked. I'm so glad we changed it! We ended up seeing some humpbacks throughout our cruise from our balcony and the lido. We switched to this about a week before sailing and it was the best decision! I hope you have an amazing time! The orcas will be definitely unforgettable! Certainly magnificent and what great footage! The glacier in the Endicott Arm is called Dawes Glacier, with Sawyer Glaciers located in Tracy Arm. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for that! We couldn’t really hear what the naturalist was saying out on the top deck. Just bits and pieces. He probably said something along the lines of “we would have gone to Sawyer Glacier” and all we heard was Sawyer LOL. What a beautiful fjord. I want to do Alaska so bad. I would be super stoked about the orcas. The bald eagle on the glacier was really cool as well. Great video.
It was supposed to be 48° in Juneau the day we went. I wore a long sleeve waffle knit top, a fleece jacket, and a lightweight rain jacket. I also wore gloves and head warmer/headband type thing. I’m sure it has warmed up since we went. There was an indoor area and free hot chocolate and coffee. I stayed outside for most of it though.
Absolutely gorgeous views!!! Alaska has been on my wishlist since forever! And I totally get your point of being there in person n forgetting about the camera at times.. Happens to me so many times too…
That is amazing - I would be beyond ecstatic for the orcas if that happens when we go in September. We are taking this tour from RC's Quantum. Did your tour follow the time it said? ours says 7-noon...we have an excursion at 2 so I am hoping that works out....
Ours did follow the time it’s suggested- 9:30 to 3:30. The captain of the excursion boat was sure to stick to the schedule. That’s why we couldn’t stay with the orcas any longer. That’s great that yours is earlier in the day. You’ll be able to do more than we did afterward! We would love to go in September sometime to hopefully see the northern lights! I have a seaplane afterwards so I went ahead and moved that so I wont be worrying about missing it and not enjoying the fjord. My two major hopes that I know are not guaranteed are orcas and the northern lights. I hope I get at least one. :)
This was on May 23 of this year. It should be slightly warmer for you. Perhaps be prepared with a rain jacket just in case. You never know what the weather is going to be.
